He walked to the door and looked out to see more than thirty burly n, so half-dressed, so naked, all clutching machetes as they surrounded soone in a corner.
In that corner stood a young man, pale-faced, especially upon seeing each of the burly n ard with machetes, his expression turning extrely ugly.
"Hey! Isn't this our Mingzhu City's Criminal Investigation Team Captain He Dongqiang? What's this? Is our captain sneaking around like a thief in the dead of night?"
The burly man who had spoken earlier now pushed through the crowd, a cruel look flashing across his face at the sight of the young man, and then a mocking smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
The young man's expression darkened further upon seeing him.
He had accidentally made a noise when he climbed over the wall and landed on those sackcloths. Shocked by the sight of dismbered bodies inside the sacks, he startled the n and gave himself away.
Seeing the ferocity of the n before him, he knew that his chances of survival were slim.
"Xiong Wu, do you have any humanity left? You've killed so many people; aren't you afraid of retribution?"
The young man was filled with indignation, especially seeing the organs harvested from the bodies, he felt a chill run through him.
But hearing this, a vicious smile crept onto Xiong Wu's face:
"Retribution? These days, he who has less money is the one who faces retribution. Anyone who dares to block my wealth will face retribution! Just like you, you little bastard, always snooping around . Today, your retribution has co!"
Xiong Wu's words were chilling to the bone, and the other burly n, hearing them, stepped forward, brandishing their knives and sealing off any escape for the young man.

The young man's na was He Dongqiang, the captain of Mingzhu City's Criminal Investigation Team, and he had been recently investigating the missing persons cases in Mingzhu City. Following the trail led him to Xiong Wu.
He knew about Xiong Wu's background, that this man was one of Ba Ye's. And Ba Ye had connections with many high-ranking officials in Mingzhu City, including so top brass at the police departnt.
After discovering the clues, He Dongqiang, fearing that the information might leak, didn't raise any alarm and decided to investigate on his own, which brought him here.
But what he hadn't anticipated was that as soon as he found the evidence, he had already walked into a den of wolves.
