“All the fun?”

Jenna cleared her throat.

“You’re in serious danger. How could I just do nothing? Right, Vel?”

I looked to the side.

Velkist was slowly walking up the stairs.

“Well, that’s how it is.”

Velkist spoke in his usual gruff voice.

“I don’t know what you’re planning, but it’s better than doing it alone, right? I was bored anyway.”

“...”

“I’ll be useful.”

Velkist leaned his back against the cabin wall.

I clicked my tongue. Uninvited guests had appeared. It seed they had secretly watched

prepare the airship yesterday.

“Why are you so against it? We’re here to help.”

“This is my fight.”

“What’s yours and mine? We’re all in this together.”

“Kind of creepy hearing that from you, Vel.”

“...Do you want to die?”

Jenna laughed and looked at .

“Anyway, a thief’s co to our house. We should get rid of them together. Let’s go!”

Jenna raised her fist.

As usual, her tone was playful.

If the cause of all this was the Book of Reversal, I wouldn’t have involved these two.

‘But it’s too late now.’

They must have figured it out.

I let out a deep sigh.

“So, leaving the waiting room, huh?”

“Staying would only cause more damage.”

“Oh, is it because of the assassinations? I’ve patrolled so much, but I haven’t seen a trace of them.”

I nodded.

Fighting in the waiting room was a bad idea.

It would an fighting while holding a thousand hostages.

Even if we ended up in a full-scale battle, massive casualties would be inevitable.

‘So, we’ll have to change the location of the battlefield.’

I walked over to the railing.

From my coat, I pulled out a thick, hardback book.

“What’s that?”

“It’s what they want. It’s incredibly valuable.”

Even though it was broken and unusable.

I flipped through the pages, making a show of it.

“Co and get it.”

I tossed the book over the edge of the railing.

A pale mist swirled below.

‘So, you were there.’

Before invisible hands could grab the book, I flicked my fingers.

Crackle! Red lightning wrapped around the Book of Reversal, yanking it back into my hand.

I chuckled.

“You can take it if you can.”

Wooooooong!

The Lucette emitted blue flas from its rear.

Accelerating quickly, the airship zood towards the edge of the field with a roar.

“Where are we headed?”

“Dinsional City Beta.”

The location of ?? Nоvеlιght ?? (Read the full story) the 6-star promotion center.

“We’ve leveled up enough. Ti for a promotion, don’t you think?”

“There’s sothing chasing us.”

I glanced behind us.

A black-painted airship was tailing the Lucette. A skull insignia was plastered on the front. So, they finally decided to get moving.

“We’ll deal with them along the way.”

The distance between us was about 100 ters.

Not close enough for them to board the ship.

It wouldn’t be easy for them to catch up. The Lucette was a small, agile ship. In terms of speed, it was unmatched.

A voice crackled through the static.

But I could tell they were angry.

Wooooooong!

The Lucette’s rocket fuel burned even hotter.

“Do as you please. Their deaths won’t be in vain, at least. It’ll buy

ti, and that’s enough.”

“Are you even capable of doing that?”

I chuckled softly.

“The Book of Reversal is in my hands. If you head back, I can just run sowhere else. What about you? If your hostages die and you waste ti... they’ll co, won’t they?”

He knew exactly who I ant.

If they hadn’t, they wouldn’t have bothered stealing the ring.

The communication cut off with a burst of static.

Their airship surged forward, speeding up in pursuit.

‘Looks like I won this round of chicken.’

If I decided to run to Niflheimr, they’d never be able to recover the Book of Reversal.

Though the Lucette didn’t have enough fuel to reach Niflheimr, they couldn’t possibly know that.

“...The Book of Reversal.”

Jenna mumbled quietly to herself.

She must have heard about it during her training in Niflheimr.

“It’s the key to a 7-star promotion, right?”

“Correct.”

“And you have it?”

“By coincidence, yes.”

“Then we absolutely can’t let them take it!”

Jenna rolled up her sleeves with determination.

“The Book of Reversal?”

Velkist narrowed his eyes.

He must have been hearing about it for the first ti.

“Well, that’s fine. I guess I’ll finally get to stretch my legs.”

“Don’t start anything unless you have to.”

Dinsional City Beta was a company-controlled zone.

It was crowded with countless masters, heroes, and NPCs, and one universal rule applied there:

‘No PVP.’

Not that those assassins would bother following the rules.

They’d look for any opportunity to strike. Even if they didn’t, the longer we stalled, the better it was for us.

Within a week at most, Niflheimr would respond.

They were the ones pressed for ti, not .

‘Of course...’

I had no intention of relying on Niflheimr’s help.

My plan was to take care of this myself.

I couldn’t track or trace them, but I could make them co to .

If they attacked us in Dinsional City, it would be self-defense.

And hordes of pursuers would co after them.

Choosing a battlefield where we had the advantage—that was fundantal.

“...”

The side of their black airship opened.

Cannons were now visible, erging from within.

They were planning to shoot us down...

“Well, that won’t work.”

Jenna drew an iron arrow and set it on her bowstring.

Boom! The enemy cannons fired right after.

In the sa instant, Jenna’s hands moved like lightning, and the bowstring snapped with each shot.

Ratatatatatata!

It was like the barrage of a machine gun.

The cannonballs flying toward the Lucette collided with Jenna’s arrows.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Flashes of fiery explosions lit up the sky.

Amidst the flas, Jenna switched to her longbow.

Thunk! Each ti she released an arrow, another enemy cannon was silenced in a puff of smoke.

‘Their defenses are pathetic.’

If they had archers or mages on board, they could have blocked or countered her attacks, but it seed they only had assassins aboard.

In no ti, all their cannons were out of commission.

That was the end of their long-range firepower.

“Phew.”

Jenna wiped the sweat from her forehead after finishing her task.
