Chapter 122: Chapter 122 Can’t Hear the Sarcasm?

They knew the Qin family was undoubtedly done for today, and it was ti to choose a side.

On stage, Qin Fen was still speaking excitedly. "Our Qin Family has prepared a fine gift for each of our three honored guests. We hope you will graciously accept them!"

At that mont, Qin Yuan carefully carried a briefcase onto the stage.

"Gu Na, I’m so envious of you! Your man is incredible!"

"Yeah, he actually gets to stand on stage with those three!"

"You should thank your lucky stars you didn’t choose Yang Qi. You’d be so embarrassed right now!"

Hearing the words of Hou Mu, Wang Yan, and Wang Yan’s boyfriend, Gu Na felt a secret sense of relief and even a little pride. Only a man like this is worthy of . So what if he’s a bit older?

The comnts from those around her, filled with envy, jealousy, and hatred, completely satisfied her vanity.

She turned her head to glance at Yang Qi. I should thank you for not choosing

back then. Otherwise, I would have never t such a wonderful man!

Unfortunately, Yang Qi was just sitting there with his head down, seemingly playing on his phone. This deflated her sowhat.

After getting on stage, Qin Yuan stood beside Qin Fen. He held the briefcase with both hands and straightened his posture, his face filled with pride.

Qin Fen opened the briefcase and smiled. "It’s just a small gift to show our respect. These are three Life-saving Pills, made from the finest materials. Each one is worth tens of millions! They are absolutely worthy of your status. Having one of these is like having an extra life."

In reality, the Life-saving Pills weren’t quite that miraculous, but their effects were certainly exceptional. For an acute illness, it could definitely save your life. Even if you were seriously injured, it could keep you from dying.

"Please, do not misunderstand, esteed guests. Although the gift is a bit pricey, it is produced by our own company as a token of our sincerity. It is absolutely not for sale on the market!"

Qin Fen said this because he was afraid that Zhao Xiong and Elder Chen Guo wouldn’t accept. Zhao Xiong was the City Lord and was wary of the implications. The National dicine Association, to which Elder Chen Guo belonged, was a semi-official organization, so he was naturally wary as well.

Countless people stared at the three exquisite boxes, green with envy. Who wouldn’t want sothing like that?

Qin Fen took out the boxes and presented them to Zhao Xiong, Wang Nantian, and Elder Chen Guo, respectively. None of the three refused. Why would anyone be foolish enough to turn down such a fine item?

"They really accepted it!"

"Yes! Doesn’t this an the three of them are willing to beco the Qin Family’s protectors?"

"It must!"

Below the stage, representatives from many wealthy families were deeply moved. Accepting this gift also ant accepting a responsibility. It signified that these three were now friends of the Qin Family. It was no longer impossible for the Qin Family to beco the foremost family in Kang City. They might even be able to contend with the city’s wealthiest, the Fan Family.

"If the three of you have anything to say, please feel free to speak your minds," Qin Fen said, truly hoping they would say a few words to deepen everyone’s impression.

Zhao Xiong smiled. "The Qin Family truly did nurture a great talent. Sadly, he died young. Otherwise, the Qin Family would probably be even more formidable."

"That’s right. I heard that Young Master Qin Tian was a martial arts prodigy," Wang Nantian added with a nod.

"What a pity. If our President had been here, he could have definitely perford a miracle of rejuvenation," Elder Chen Guo remarked.

The trio’s words were all laced with irony, but the mbers of the Qin Family apparently didn’t catch on. They were, in fact, elated. Although Qin Tian was dead, he had at least earned the recognition of these three. Even in death, he could rest in peace. Besides, the deceased Qin Tian was still one of their own.

"Our Qin Family actually has many other geniuses like Qin Tian. We hope that the three of you will look after them," Qin Fen said excitedly, completely unaware of the hidden aning in their words.

The surrounding crowd also failed to notice anything amiss with their statents and was simply filled with envy.

Qin Lan, however, now seethed with hatred for Yang Qi. She wished she could grind his bones to dust and make him die eight hundred tis over. If Yang Qi hadn’t killed Qin Tian, who knew how great his future accomplishnts would have been with the support of these three. It was such wretched luck, and it was all Yang Qi’s fault.

"Qin Tian’s death was a great injustice. In the future, we will have to ask City Lord Zhao to see justice done for him," Qin Lan said.

"An injustice? I suppose so. To die without gaining anything... that is indeed quite an injustice," Zhao Xiong chuckled.

Hearing that, Qin Fen’s brow furrowed slightly. He was beginning to sense that sothing was off about Zhao Xiong’s words, but he didn’t dwell on it.

Zhao Xiong and the other two were already walking off the stage. Qin Fen hurriedly ushered them to their seats. The seats on either side were for Wang Nantian and the President of the National dicine Association. The most honorable seat in the middle was reserved for Zhao Xiong. Only he was qualified to sit there. At least, that’s what most people present believed; no one else even ca close.

When Zhao Xiong approached, Wu Feng, Jin Can, and the others in that area all rose to their feet, not daring to remain seated. The sight of all these influential figures standing for the Qin Family’s guests filled everyone with envy. With connections like these, it would be hard for the Qin Family not to prosper.

"Please, have a seat. These three, the most honored seats, are reserved for you," Qin Fen said with a smile.

But none of the three sat down.

This puzzled Qin Fen and everyone else. They didn’t understand why. The Qin Family mbers were especially anxious, having no idea what was wrong with the seats. The last thing they wanted was to offend these three n.

Qin Fen frowned and asked, "You aren’t sitting. Is there so reason?"

Zhao Xiong sighed. "If these were ordinary seats, we would have no problem sitting. But since they are the most honored seats in the house, we cannot."

"Exactly!" Wang Nantian chid in.

"That’s precisely the reason," Elder Chen Guo agreed with a nod.

Their words stunned the entire audience. They weren’t qualified to sit there? Could there be soone even more distinguished than them present?

"You three must be joking," Qin Fen said with a forced laugh. "Among all our guests, there is no one more honorable than you. If you won’t sit, who else would dare?"

"I am not joking with you," Zhao Xiong stated. "There is soone here whom I deeply respect. If he is not qualified to sit here, what makes

qualified?"

"I’m not joking either," Wang Nantian added. "There is also soone in this hall to whom I am so deeply indebted that I would do anything to repay them."

"And I am certainly not joking," said Elder Chen Guo. "Our President of the National dicine Association has not taken a seat, so how could I possibly dare to?"

"The President of the National dicine Association?" Qin Fen was stunned. "Aren’t you him? In the entire National dicine Association, your status is the highest."

All three of them said there was soone more distinguished. Could he have overlooked another incredibly important guest? The thought made Qin Fen panic. Anyone who could command such deep respect from these three had to be an extraordinary figure. Offending soone like that would spell serious trouble.

"Who exactly are the three of you talking about?" Qin Fen asked urgently. "If I have been neglectful, I will apologize at once."
