Chapter 460: Chapter 460: The White Temple

The silence of the White Temple shifted.

Then slowly, the platform changed. The solid, unmoving white stone... began to shimr.

At first, it was faint...barely noticeable.

But within seconds, the entire surface rippled like disturbed water, soft waves spreading across it as if the stone had turned into a deep, endless pool. It no longer looked like sothing one could stand on.

It looked like sothing that would swallow you whole.

As if, The mont anyone stepped onto it...They would drown.

Swish...

The air twisted sharply. A figure appeared.

"Ahhh..."

A lazy voice broke the silence.

"Finally... I am back here."

A man stood upon the shimring platform, completely at ease as if the strange, dangerous surface beneath his feet ant nothing at all. In his hand, he held a large fan made from the wing of an unknown beast, gently fanning himself with slow, relaxed movents.

"How could soone be so restless..." he muttered with a soft sigh.

The fan lifted slightly, hiding the lower half of his face.

Only his eyes could be seen, sharp, narrowed, and observing everything.

He glanced around once... then paused. Realization flickered across his gaze.

"...I appeared on the platform?"

A faint click of his tongue followed.

"Tsk."

"If the old man finds out I dared to use this place..." he murmured under his breath, his tone carrying a hint of amusent rather than fear, "...would he kill ?"

The question lingered in the quiet air. But he didn’t wait for an answer.

"Tap... tap..."

His footsteps were light as he turned, stepping off the platform as if nothing had happened. The mont he moved away, the rippling surface slowly stilled, returning to its original cold, solid form.

The man waved his fan lazily once more.

Then, He walked toward the distant forest and disappeared.

"Who is going to tell him...?"

A low chuckle echoed faintly in the air.

"Hahaha..."

And just like that, Silence returned to the White Temple once more.

Not far from the White Temple... just beyond a stretch of quiet land and scattered trees...

A group of beastn had gathered.

They rested beneath the open sky, their presence strong yet calm, as if they were simply passing through. So sat on the ground, others leaned against rocks or trees, their sharp senses quietly observing the surroundings.

At the center of them all sat a woman. She was beautiful.

Dressed in soft, flowing clothes made from the finest material...so rare that in the beast world, such cloth would be fought over without hesitation. The material moved gently with the wind, light and smooth, almost like water.

But it wasn’t her clothes that drew attention.

It was her presence. Which was calm, quiet, and serene.

She sat there without moving, her gaze lifted toward the sky, her eyes distant as if she was looking at sothing far beyond what others could see. There was no expression on her face, only a soft stillness... like a lake without ripples.

She wasn’t doing anything. Just... sitting. Lost in her own thoughts.

Beside her, a tall male with a strong, well-built body sat quietly. In his hands were small fruits that looked like grapes. One by one, he carefully peeled and placed them into a small bowl in front of her.

Patiently without making a sound. He didn’t speak neither did he disturb her.

Because this... was normal.

She was often like this...sitting in silence, losing herself in a daze, as if the world around her didn’t exist. And every ti, he would simply stay by her side, waiting.

Ti slipped by, and the wind shifted gently through the air. Then, sothing changed. A faint, strange wisp of air brushed past them, it was soft, yet unsettling.

Her eyes flickered, and her body stilled for a brief mont before she suddenly rose to her feet so abruptly that the bowl before her tilted.

Without a word or a hint of hesitation, she turned toward a single direction: the White Temple.

For the first ti, her calm expression broke, replaced by sothing unfamiliar...maybe urgency.

Before anyone could react, she moved, almost running, as if drawn by an unseen force. She had felt it...that strange shift in the air, and she could not ignore it.

The woman ran without stopping and without looking back.

Her steps were fast, almost unsteady, as if sothing ahead was pulling her forward. The calm and distant expression she always carried was gone, completely replaced by urgency.

Behind her, the man froze for a brief mont. The fruit in his hand slipped slightly as his eyes widened in shock.

"Mulan...!"

He stood up imdiately, his voice breaking the quiet.

"Where are you running?!"

But she didn’t answer. She didn’t even glance back.

She just kept running... straight toward the direction of the White Temple.

The man’s expression darkened. Without hesitation, he threw the fruit aside and rushed after her, his powerful body moving quickly to catch up.

"Mulan!"

Still he didn’t get any response. Around them, the other beastn were equally stunned.

They had never seen her like this before.

The calm priestess who always sat in silence, who barely reacted to anything...was now running as if sothing had shaken her to the core.

"Priestess?!"

"What happened?!"

"Where are you going?!"

One after another, they called out to her, their voices filled with confusion and alarm. But just like before...

She didn’t respond to any of them.

It was as if she couldn’t hear them at all.

Or perhaps...

She simply didn’t care.

Her eyes were fixed ahead, locked onto sothing only she could feel. That strange wisp of air... that sudden, unfamiliar energy...

It was getting stronger and closer. Her heart began to beat faster.

Each step she took felt heavier, yet she didn’t slow down.

Behind her, the beastn quickly followed, their movents turning urgent as well. What started as confusion quickly turned into concern. No one dared to leave her alone.

"Stay close!"

"Don’t let the priestess go alone!"

Their voices echoed as they ran. But no matter how fast they moved, She was still ahead.

Chasing sothing unseen and in the distance... The outline of the White Temple slowly began to appear.
