Chapter 1 - World Beyond the Veil
Dreadfort Castle
POV of Harry Potter
32-year-old, Head of the Departnt of Magical Law Enforcent (DMLE), Harry Potter groggily woke up. He realized that he was lying down on a bed made of the most uncomfortable material. He opened his eyes and looked around, found himself in a strange room built with stone walls illuminated with candles.
Well, this is certainly not what he thought would happen when he walked into the veil, tired from all the loneliness and betrayal over the years. And generally, just weary from life.
'Is this where everyone arrives when they jump into the Veil?' he wondered 'Or does the owner of the 3 deathly hallows get a special concession.'
A glance outside the window showed that it was nightti, and another glance upward showed him a surprisingly large number of stars and a clear night sky. And he found out two things quite quickly by simply looking at the sky.
First, wherever he was, the air in this place was clean without any trace of pollution in it.
Second, this was not London, as the constellations in the sky were completely unrecognizable to him. In fact, he doubted that he was even on Earth anymore.
'So, an alternate world.' He mused to himself before he tried to get up and suddenly found it a bit disorienting when he realized that the body he was in was not his own either.
In fact, this new body was a fair bit thinner and smaller than his own body. And he knew that this was not his own body either. He would have recognized it if that were the case.
'So, soone else's body then.'
He felt strangely resigned about that fact, which he realized was rather unnatural. After all, he had just lost his own body. Shouldn't he feel... sothing about that?
A light pain in his head prompted him to touch his head and he found that it was covered with so kind of rough cloth. He grimaced when a prickle of pain from the back of his head hit him once again and then let out a sigh.
His last body had been exposed to dark spells like the Cruciatus Curse frequently and was used to feeling pain. He would have never shown any outward sign even when he felt a pain that was ten tis worse than this had this been his old body.
'Whoever this body belonged to had lived a privileged life then.' He realized before he grunted and got out of the uncomfortable mattress with so difficulty.
He felt weak and disoriented.
He wondered if he should be feeling a bit worried about this new and unknown situation, but he was so tired that he just couldn't bring himself to care about anything at this point.
Then he heard soone's soft footsteps from the outside the door before it opened and a young teenage girl entered the room.
And then she ran away shouting sothing like "My Lord, My Lady."
For a mont, he wondered if all of this was a carefully crafted illusion. He had seen cleverly crafted illusions that befuddled your mind and left you utterly confused once in the deep crypts in Egypt, but it was nothing as elaborate as this.
'Perhaps he really did co into a different world and took possession of soone else's body.'
He suddenly felt a burning pain from the back of his right hand. When he looked at it, he saw a symbol appeared on his skin.
But not an ordinary symbol.
A symbol with a circle, line, and triangle combined.
A symbol that he knew very well from his past.
Symbol of Deathly Hallows.
Represent the three Deathly Hallows: the circle is the Resurrection Stone, the line is the Elder Wand, and the triangle is the Cloak of Invisibility. Three legendary objects that were allegedly created by Death, and, if united, would supposedly make one the "Master of Death
