On a night after Ava and Barbara finished conducting an experint using the anaconda's demonic core.
"Barbara, we've been here for a year. How do we get off this island?" Ava asked, the topic suddenly crossing her mind while looking out the window in the mansion's bedroom.
Barbara lounged on a sprawling bed, its silken sheets a luxurious contrast to the mansion's austere stone floors. She had pulled the bed from her space ring, a treasure trove of household comforts she had packed for their years-long sojourn in the Mystic Realm. Sleeping without a proper bed was unthinkable to her.
"Hmm…" she mused, her voice lazy as she sank into the mattress. "For now, I don't know. I can make a simple boat, but the demonic beasts in the lake would target us. I don't think we can fight them in a small, weak boat. We need a big, strong ship to cross." Her tone was matter-of-fact, her fingers idly twirling a strand of hair as she considered the problem.
"Do you think we'll be stuck here forever?" Ava asked again.
"I don't think so."
"Really? So, how do we get out?"
"Hehehe… we can, but it might take a long, long ti."
"How?" Ava's eyes narrowed, her hands planting on her hips.
"By cultivation, of course," Barbara said, her grin widening. "We have a spiritual vein here. We can cultivate to a very high realm, and then we cross the lake by force. If demonic beasts attack us, we can beat them easily, no matter how many. Maybe we can even ignore the flying prohibition by then and just fly away from the island. Ava pouted, crossing her arms. "How are you still so carefree while talking about this topic? It is depressing, you know."
"Hehehe." Barbara chuckled. "That's because I have you with . If I were alone, I might not have the ntal capability to endure this. I'd probably go crazy."
Ava beca silent. If she were alone, she might go crazy too. But her craziness would be different from Barbara's. She might have gone on a rampage and caused mayhem on the island.
The room went silent for a while.
Suddenly, Barbara's eyes widened, her body tensing. "Wait! I sensed sothing!" she exclaid.
"Huh? What?" Ava quickly spread her spiritual sense around the mansion, alert for possible danger.
"I sensed bloodline energy fluctuation! It's coming toward us!" Barbara panicked.
Bloodline energy? Don't tell , an awakened demonic beast? Shit! Ava beca nervous. If a commander-level or above demonic beast targeted them, there was no way they both could fight it.
"Barbara, we need to run!" She shouted, her voice urgent.
Ava was about to grab the shivering Barbara and run randomly for survival when, at this mont, a male voice cut through the chaos, calm and faintly amused.
"Excuse , you are human Ava Clover, right?"
"Huh?" Ava's montum faltered, her built-up energy misfiring. She stumbled, sliding across the polished stone floor with an undignified skid, her hands flailing for balance.
anwhile, Barbara, who was on the bed, stopped shivering and was surprised by the voice as well. Who? She asked inwardly.
The next mont, she saw a cloud entering the room through the window.
"Huh? The bloodline energy… it ca from this cloud?" Barbara said, her voice a mix of shock and curiosity, her scholarly instincts flickering through her fear as she studied the anomaly.
Ava stood up again and saw the cloud in the room. She stared at it in confusion. Her instinct told her the cloud wasn't dangerous.
"Kekeke. Yes, I'm not wrong. You are indeed human Ava," the voice said again, its tone playful.
Human Ava? Why did this cloud call
like that? And… how did it know ?
"Are you a sentient cloud?" Ava asked.
Barbara, regaining so composure, interjected, "Ava, that's a demonic beast. I sensed bloodline energy fluctuation from it."
Ava blinked. "This is the demonic beast? This is clearly a cloud."
"Kekeke!" The cloud's laughter rippled through the room, light and mischievous. "This young human lady is right. I am a demonic beast. To be precise, a King Level demonic beast based on your classification."
"WHAT? King Level? That's supposed to be higher than the General Level!" Barbara exclaid in shock. She couldn't fathom what was happening right now.
Ava frowned. Why was an existence stronger than a General Level demonic beast looking for her? She couldn't help but feel nervous.
"Ahem… Let
introduce myself. My na is Lapin Blanco, and I'm a Celestial Cloud Rabbit. I ca here specifically to find human Ava. Ah, right, this cloud is my bloodline ability; I'm not here myself."
"A Celestial Cloud Rabbit? Is that your bloodline lineage? But why are you looking for ? How did you know ? Do you know anyone from the Leyan Family? Did you co from that colossal tree?" Ava launched a barrage of questions.
"Calm down, calm down. Human Ava, be patient. I will answer your questions. Firstly, yes, Celestial Cloud Rabbit is my bloodline lineage, and I'm not from that tree. How did I know you? Kekeke. Anda? Ava was shocked. However, she must make sure that what he said was true first.

"Huh? Proof?" Lapin, relaxing in his abode, enjoying carrot tops, was taken aback. He didn't expect to encounter this situation. How should he provide proof to her?
Lapin quickly recalled his encounter with Anda and Lilian and tried his best to describe their appearances and personalities. After that, he described the pictures Anda had shown him in detail.
