**

The Black Emperor Pavilion.

This was a residence in Black Emperor City specifically used to host well-known powerhouses from the Black-Corner Region.

Anyone who could receive an invitation and take up residence here was without exception either a powerhouse with considerable fa in the Black-Corner Region or the leader of a notable faction.

Within a hundred-ter radius around the Black Emperor Pavilion, there were strict guards from the Black Emperor Sect stationed everywhere. Ordinary people who got close would be imdiately driven away.

When Wei Yang’s group of five appeared in front of the Black Emperor Pavilion, this was exactly the scene they saw.

Up ahead, a blue-robed elder stood smiling warmly, as if he had been waiting here for quite so ti.

This man clearly held a high position within the Black Emperor Sect, and his own strength was not bad — he was a Seven-Star Dou Huang.

In the Black-Corner Region, such strength was enough to be called a well-known powerhouse.

After all, even soone like the Blood Sect’s Sect Master, Fan Lao — one of the so-called top ten on the Black Ranking — was only a Five-Star Dou Huang.

And now, this Seven-Star Dou Huang was personally waiting here for Wei Yang’s group’s arrival, which in itself showed the Black Emperor Sect’s sincerity.

When the blue-robed elder saw Wei Yang and the others, his eyes lit up. He walked over with a wide smile, his gaze subtly sweeping over the five of them before cupping his hands politely toward Ah Da and greeting, "Elder You, it’s been a long ti. Welco to Black Emperor City."

"Mhm," Ah Da responded with a low hum, then said, "Elder Che Cheng, arrange a quiet place for us to stay."

"Of course."

Upon hearing this, the smile on the blue-robed elder’s face grew even warr. Squinting slightly in amusent, he stepped to the side and gestured forward, speaking with enthusiasm, "The accommodations have already been prepared for you all. Please, co with ."

Under the personal guidance of the blue-robed elder, Wei Yang’s group entered the Black Emperor Pavilion.

This place, specially used by the Black Emperor Sect to host powerhouses from all sides, was naturally exceptionally luxurious.

Stepping through the massive, spacious doors, the interior opened into a grand hall.

Sweeping their eyes around, they could see various people scattered in groups, sitting in different spots.

So were leaders of factions accompanied by their subordinates, while others sat alone — solitary wanderers, usually individuals with considerable strength.

When these people noticed Wei Yang’s group entering, many of them turned their gazes toward them.

Almost imdiately, a look of surprise appeared in their eyes.

What surprised them was that the blue-robed elder was personally leading and welcoming these newcors. In the Black Emperor Pavilion, such treatnt was extrely rare.

In an instant, the chatter in the hall grew noticeably quieter.

Nurous gazes discreetly fell upon Wei Yang’s group.

They all understood one thing: whoever these people were, their background must be extraordinary.

The blue-robed elder ignored the rest of the crowd and simply walked on ahead, leading Wei Yang’s group across the hall toward the residential area.

After walking for a short while, they arrived at an expansive living quarters.

This area was tranquil, with lush greenery surrounding rows of pavilions and courtyards.

A faint, refreshing fragrance drifted through the air, making one feel slightly invigorated upon breathing it in.

Such a peaceful place left Wei Yang and the others quite satisfied.

According to the smiling introduction from the blue-robed elder—the Black Emperor Pavilion was massive enough to accommodate up to a thousand residents.

This large residential area ahead was divided into three different tiers — Heaven, Earth, and Human — based on one’s strength or faction’s influence.

The Human-Tier residences were for those with so fa in the Black-Corner Region.

Generally speaking, anyone who had reached the Dou Wang level was qualified to live here.

The Earth-Tier residences, however, required at least Dou Huang strength, along with a faction of considerable renown in the Black-Corner Region, before one could be qualified to move in.

The Heaven-Tier residences were the most luxurious of all.

Anyone who could live here was without exception a renowned powerhouse in the Black-Corner Region — or the leader of a top-tier faction capable of matching the Black Emperor Sect itself.

Those who t such requirents were, unsurprisingly, very few within the Black-Corner Region.

Naturally, Wei Yang and his group were arranged to stay in the Heaven-Tier area.

Along the way, they occasionally encountered other powerhouses.

Powerhouses like Dou Wang or Dou Huang, who were rarely seen outside, were not uncommon here — one could run into them from ti to ti.

In just this short walk, they encountered five Dou Huang and eight Dou Wang.

This made Wei Yang feel a faint sense of amazent — the Black-Corner Region really did have quite a lot of strong people.

At the very least, it far surpassed the Jia Ma Empire.

Of course, there were also many below the Dou Wang level — likely the attendants and subordinates of faction leaders.

Those powerhouses they passed all smiled and greeted the blue-robed elder, and without fail, cast curious and slightly astonished glances toward Wei Yang’s group.

However, because the five of them were all shrouded in black robes, nothing could be seen of them.

As for probing with soul perception?

That was considered extrely rude — a direct provocation or insult.

Unless, of course, you were looking for a fight.

As they walked, the blue-robed elder would occasionally glance at Wei Yang’s group from the corner of his eye.

When they finally arrived before a secluded courtyard, the blue-robed elder stopped, smiling broadly.

"Elder You, Honored Guests — this is the residence our Black Emperor Sect has prepared for you."

Hearing this, Ah Da’s gaze swept through the shadow of his hood, giving the courtyard and its surroundings a brief inspection. He gave a small nod, his voice indifferent, "Not bad. You’ve put thought into it."

To Ah Da’s indifferent tone, the blue-robed elder showed no displeasure. Instead, he kept smiling warmly.

"This is only what we should do. As long as Elder You is satisfied."

Then his eyes shifted toward Wei Yang and the others, and he cupped his hands politely.

"I am Che Cheng, an elder of the Black Emperor Sect. May I know the nas of you all?"

Wei Yang stayed silent. Ah Da, however, slightly bowed toward Wei Yang before speaking to Che Cheng, "This is my master, surna Wei."

At that, Che Cheng’s pupils constricted sharply.

So, the rumors were true!

Among the upper echelons of the various factions in the Black-Corner Region, there had long been whispers — that the mysterious, cold-aura, powerful Elder You was backed by none other than a Peak Tier 6 Alchemist.

"Elder Che Cheng greets Mister Wei," Che Cheng said solemnly, slightly bowing to show his respect. Then, testing the waters, he asked, "Mister Wei, could it be that you are the very sa Peak Tier 6 Alchemist spoken of in the rumors?"

Wei Yang gave no reply. Instead, he slightly turned his head, his gaze shifting toward a certain direction. From within his hood ca a calm voice, "You’ve been following us for quite a while. Why not co out and et us?"

Elder Che Cheng’s body stiffened, his eyes quickly looking toward the direction Wei Yang was staring at.

Up ahead lay a dense patch of erald-green shade.

Then—

Rustle... rustle...

With a faint swaying of branches and leaves, a white figure slowly stepped out from within.

At the sa ti, a clear, cheerful laugh rang out from the newcor’s mouth. "Hehe, I was idle and thought I’d take a casual stroll. By coincidence, I happened to see Elder Che leading several guests, so I thought to co over and greet you. I didn’t expect it to be taken as

tailing you — my apologies, my apologies."

As the white-clothed figure spoke, his steps moved like a ghost’s. With just a few light strides, he appeared before Wei Yang’s group and ca to a stop.

The man in white wore a faint smile, slightly bowing as he cupped his hands. "I am Mo Ya. I greet Mister Wei, Elder You, and the three others. If I was discourteous earlier, I hope the honored guests will not take offense."
