Chapter 679: Chapter 679: Missing Dad

Guo Jinnian expressed her concern, "Yaoyao, you have no idea; the girls at the company look at Jian Jun and Hongwei like they’re fat lambs for the slaughter. I may not have the ability to resist Hongwei’s charms, but I have to help Miaomiao keep a hold on Jian Jun, good n are hard to find these days."

If they’ve found a good match in him and he’s good for Miaomiao, then they must hold tight and not let Jian Jun slip away.

Tong Yao’s belly ached with laughter, what kind of logic was that?!

She said, "Jinnian, rest assured, as long as Miaomiao and Jian Jun truly like each other, they definitely won’t miss their chance. Jian Jun knows how to cherish the person in front of him. He has lost loved ones and values emotional bonds; if he really likes Miaomiao, they would surely end up together."

Tong Yao was well aware of Jian Jun’s past, and it was because she knew about his past that she believed Jian Jun cherished his family.

So, if Miaomiao really ends up with Jian Jun, they would surely be happy.

Seeing Tong Yao so confidently vouch for Jian Jun, Guo Jinnian was relieved, "Since you speak so highly of Jian Jun, he must be a good man. I’ll take your advice and let them be."

Suddenly rembering sothing, she asked, "Oh, Enzhen’s Full Moon Wine Ceremony is the day after tomorrow, what gift are you thinking of giving? I’ve thought about it for a while and still haven’t decided."

After years of courtship, Fu Sen had finally married Han Enzhen, his beloved, who shared the news of her pregnancy just a month after their wedding. Now their child has already been born.

Han Enzhen gave birth to a daughter who looks remarkably like her. Fu Sen treats his daughter like a precious gem, cherishing her imnsely.

Interestingly, Han Enzhen was quite lucky. Despite it being her first childbirth, the labour was unusually quick for her. Within two to three hours after her contractions began, the baby was born.

Having not suffered much during childbirth, she thought it was quite easy. While still in the hospital, she was already eager to have a second child. She wanted a son, just like Tong Yao, to have "a good character". She even wanted to beco in-laws with Tong Yao.

Once their daughter was born, she specially invited Si Yang to see her.

According to Han Enzhen’s opinion, since it is a ti of freedom in choosing a spouse, she couldn’t arrange a betrothal for her daughter. But she could cultivate a relationship between the children from a young age.

By doing so, it wouldn’t be considered an arranged marriage if they ended up liking each other in the future.

Surprisingly, Tong Yao found Han Enzhen’s theory logical.

Although Tong Yao didn’t insist on her children marrying soone of equal social status, if it happens to be the case, it’s rely a bonus.

She and Si Chen indeed share a happy marriage, but it was not without its share of twists and turns.

So, if possible, Tong Yao hopes for a smoother ride for her children in their pursuit of happiness, preferably avoiding any terrible relatives. As a mother, Tong Yao started to think about many more things.

Lost in her thoughts, Tong Yao suggested, "I haven’t decided yet either. Let’s go shopping together tomorrow and select carefully."

Fu Sen and Han Enzhen’s family were not lacking anything. So, whatever they buy for Han Enzhen wouldn’t really matter. What’s important was the intent behind the act.

Just as Guo Jinnian was about to agree to the suggestion, Sister Zheng called out to everyone for dinner. Guo Jinnian said, "I’ll go call Miaomiao for dinner." and rushed downstairs. Seeing this, Sister Zheng laughed, "Miss Guo is still like a child."

Tong Yao also laughed lightly, "The greatest happiness for a woman is to maintain her childlike innocence forever, without a need for maturity."

Only soone who’s consistently pampered can maintain such a childlike happiness.

Tong Yao felt satisfied with her current lifestyle. If everything goes as planned, she can maintain her childlike innocence for life.

Sister Zheng agreed with Tong Yao’s philosophy. In fact, she has been a nanny at several hos. Although many of them were wealthier than Tong Yao’s, they did not live as happily and harmoniously as them.

Being loved by her parents and husband, having obedient children, and a successful career of her own, this is a life winner.

Thinking about this, Sister Zheng laughed, "Miss Tong, in my life I’ve never envied anyone’s wealth or opulence. But I do envy you. Living a life like yours, one could truly say it was a life well lived."

Tong Yue ran over and hugged Tong Yao’s leg to attract her attention, interrupting the dialogue, "Mommy, pick

up."

Despite being five years old, Tong Yue still liked sticking to her mother and being held by her. Every ti, Si Yang would step forward to stop her, and this ti was no exception. He walked over and said, "We’re about to have dinner, why do you still want to be picked up? Hurry up and sit down."

Tong Yaohui and Wen Yun found Si Yang’s words amusing. Tong Yao also laughed and lifted Tong Yue onto a chair. She then also picked up Si Yang and put him on the chair. A bit embarrassed, since he thought he was too old to tire his mother, he blushed intensely.

At that mont, both Guo Jinnian and Guo Miaomiao ca upstairs to join them. Just when everyone was getting ready to eat, Si Yang curiously asked, "Mommy, isn’t daddy coming ho for dinner today?"

"Your daddy has a surgery today, and he’ll be ho later. Sister Zheng has already set aside his dinner." Ever since Si Chen returned from his advanced study, he has beco a great sensation in the hospital. Many people travel long distances to see him for dical treatnt and surgeries.

As a result, he was busy almost every day and had very little rest ti. But, Tong Yao had already gotten used to it.

Hearing this, Si Yang didn’t ask any further. But Tong Yue chid in, "Mommy, I haven’t seen daddy for several days."

Every night these days, Si Chen was performing surgeries and only returned ho around nine o’clock. The children were already asleep by then.

Moreover, he woke up early in the morning, whereas Tong Yue liked to sleep in and only woke up when it was ti to go to school. Thus, she hadn’t seen Si Chen for several days. Tong Yao tousled her hair, "Your daddy sees you every day. He always goes to your room first to check on you guys after coming ho and then goes to bed. Also, before leaving for work in the morning, he checks on you. If you don’t believe , ask your brother."

"Brother, is it true?" Tong Yue asked with wide eyes.

Si Yang said, "When has Mommy ever lied to you?"

Tong Yue burst out laughing upon hearing this, "That’s right! Mommy has never lied to ."

The truth was, she had been missing her daddy because she hadn’t seen him for a long ti.

Guo Jinnian said, "Yue Yue, do you miss your daddy? In that case, go to bed late tonight and wait for your daddy to return."

Yue Yue’s eyes sparkled and she nodded vigorously, "Godmother, I’ll sleep late tonight. I’ll wait for daddy to co back. I really miss daddy. I haven’t talked to him for several days and I can barely rember what he looks like."

Hearing this, everyone burst out laughing. Tong Yue, like a little pig, usually fell asleep punctually at eight o’clock in the night and didn’t get up until it was ti for school. Therefore, everyone doubted her ability to wait up for Si Chen.
