Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Encountering the Vixen as Soon as I Leave the House

"We still have to work, let’s go back first." Si Chen turned to leave.

Tong Yao wasn’t going to let him go so easily. She followed Si Chen outside with short hurried steps and shalessly asked, "You’ve t

before, haven’t you? When did you et ?! I don’t rember ever seeing you, you’ve liked

for a long ti, right?"

The more Si Chen evaded, the more Tong Yao was convinced that she was right. Si Chen wouldn’t just develop feelings for soone he’s never t before. He must have seen her before.

There was no mory of eting Si Chen in the previous mory. Perhaps he had seen her sneakily.

"Let’s talk about it when we get back." Si Chen began to push his bike, hinting at Tong Yao to hop on, but she stubbornly held on to the bike and refused to let go.

"Tell

the truth now or we won’t move from here." It’s still early, there is plenty of ti before work begins not affecting his shift.

"Once." Si Chen was feeling rather helpless being persistent by her, he finally replied to one of her questions vaguely.

As she had guessed, Tong Yao’s eyes brightened up instantly, and she held on to the question, "When did you see , where did you see , why don’t I rember it?"

Si Chen was silent for a while, his eyes suddenly landing on Tong Yao’s face, "School, your college class eting."

At that ti, Tong Yaohui had invited him along, but upon reaching the school gate, sothing urgent ca up and he had to leave. He was walking away, when he heard soone cheerfully call out ’Dad’ like a oriole bird. Si Chen turned his head and saw Tong Yao hopping up and down like a lively rabbit, running towards Tong Yaohui.

At that ti, Tong Yao was only seventeen years old. Her face had a youthful innocence with childlike rounded cheeks. But her beautiful features and sparkling eyes gave away the signs of a budding beauty. He knew she would grow into a beautiful girl in a few years.

"My Dad only ca to my class eting once and he was alone, there was no one else with him." Tong Yao searched her mory carefully. Tong Yaohui had only been there once and he was by himself, he had never brought anyone else along.

"I had sothing to do and left earlier." Si Chen paused for a mont, then added, "Later, I heard you running over and calling for your Dad, I turned back and glanced at you once."

A smile ford at the corners of Tong Yao’s mouth, "So you fell in love with

at that glance?"

Si Chen originally wanted to correct her, but seeing how excited and triumphant Tong Yao was, he swallowed his words and faintly humd in agreent, in acknowledgnt of her assumption.

"Why didn’t you tell

you liked

sooner?" Tong Yao was as elated as a bird at the mont to the point that she wanted to fly around Si Chen. "I thought you were in love with Shiya and kept guessing all this while."

Fearful that she might have been reading too much into things, Tong Yao had always reminded herself never to fall for Si Chen. She dared not express her feelings and never anticipated that he had been secretly in love with her for ages.

Now, she felt like she had just opened a huge gift package of happiness, her heart was filled with joy.

It couldn’t be denied that she was also in love with Si Chen. She had just been afraid that he didn’t feel the sa way so she hadn’t dared to reveal her feelings. But now that she understood Si Chen’s feelings, she no longer had any reservations.

People always say that you shouldn’t marry a man if your parents aren’t on board, but Si Chen was soone her father had approved of. Surely, there couldn’t be anything wrong with her choice?

The two of them stood at the telephone booth. One was standing with a bicycle, and the other was acting like a happy and playful child holding the back of the bicycle. The people passing by were looking at them strangely. Many of them couldn’t resist turning back to watch, even after passing them.

Si Chen furrowed his brows, then suddenly bent down and hoisted Tong Yao onto the bar of the bicycle in front of him. His actions were swift and decisive. By the ti Tong Yao reacted, he was already seated on the bike.

Thinking about Si Chen’s long-standing crush on her, Tong Yao couldn’t help but chuckle. The happier she got, the more she laughed. Si Chen’s eyes were filled with amusent, and the corners of his mouth turned slightly upwards, showing the happiness in his heart.

"I’m going to work, it’s too hot outside. Don’t run around, go back and turn on the fan." At the entrance of the staff quarters, Si Chen put Tong Yao down from the bike, gave her simple instructions and then left for the hospital for work.

"Doctor Si, this is the entrance of the staff quarters. You two don’t seem to care about the impact your cuddling has on others." Chen Yani, holding Baodan, walked out of the quarters and comnted sarcastically upon seeing the pair.

They had only been married for just over a month. The noise they made at night wasn’t even enough, they also had to act like glue during the day, always stuck together. It was totally disgraceful.

Tong Yao’s smile quickly disappeared and she gave Chen Yani a cold look, then turned to Si Chen, "You better go to work!"

With Si Chen there, she couldn’t get her point across.

"Don’t stand outside in this heat, go in and rest!" Not wanting to delay work, Si Chen quickly instructed her before leaving riding his bike.

Seeing that Si Chen was gone, Chen Yani started speaking even harsher. "The difference between humans and dogs is that humans know sha, dogs will mate anywhere and anyti."

Baodan also made a funny face. "Such a big person still needs to be held while riding a bike, it’s so embarrassing!"

Tong Yao was in a good mood and didn’t intend to argue with Chen Yani, but when she heard these harsh words, she beca angry.

She stared at Chen Yani and said coldly, "Chen Yani, watch your mouth! Don’t go around biting people just because you have a dog’s mouth. Other people might be afraid of you because you’re the wife of the deputy director, but I’m not. If you keep talking trash, I will rip your mouth apart. If you don’t believe , you can try and say sothing else, and see if I dare."

Although Tong Yao was petite in size, she was far from scared. If Chen Yani wanted to bully her, there was no way that would happen.

"You....dare to hit ?" Chen Yani instinctively took a step back, holding onto Baodan. She had seen Tong Yao fight before, and even though Tong Yao was as skinny as a bamboo pole, she held her own.

Not to ntion that she was carrying Baodan and couldn’t fight, but her status also didn’t allow her to get into a fight.

Her husband had just reminded her last night to avoid creating trouble during these few days as representatives from Kyoto would co for dical exchanges. In reality, they were planning to select a couple of doctors for advanced training in Kyoto. The trip would be like adding a gold trim to their career, she didn’t want to ruin the opportunity due to a verbal altercation with Tong Yao.

"The next ti I hear you cursing soone, I’ll slap you right away without warning." Tong Yao glared fiercely at Chen Yani, then turned around and walked into the courtyard. It was too hot outside, and she was already sweating standing out there for a while. It wasn’t worth it to lose her temper like this.

"This is totally outrageous, she has only been in the staff quarters for a month and she’s already threatening to hit people. If this continues she will end up walking all over !" Chen Yani watched Tong Yao’s back, trembling with anger, shouting a few complaints, but unfortunately, it was the middle of a scorching day, and there was no one else outside.

After screaming a few more tis and seeing no one coming out, she finally carried Baodan to go shopping for candy while swearing.

What rotten luck to run into a vixen as soon as she stepped out of the door.
