Chapter 995: Chapter 995: Where Did He Go?

Slap—

Her hand seed to hit sothing, making a very loud sound.

But Scarlett Yates still didn’t wake up. After delivering the slap, she turned over and mumbled discontentedly, "Damn mosquito, so noisy. If you keep it up, I’ll slap you to death."

That slap landed right on Matthew Saxon’s face.

Five finger marks instantly appeared on his fair, handso face.

The culprit turned over and continued to sleep soundly. Matthew paused for a few seconds with the five red finger marks on his face, then resignedly sighed softly.

Even in her sleep, she hits and talks tough. It seems his future little wife doesn’t have a great temper, at least not as obedient and gentle as she appears on the surface.

Even though he got slapped, Matthew graciously picked her up and headed to the bathroom.

This wasn’t the first ti he had bathed her.

In Z Country, on the day she got dead drunk, he was the one who bathed her too.

But back then, he didn’t like her that much, so his self-control was still sowhat intact. Although there was so temptation, he managed to control it.

Now, doing the sa thing in a different mood, controlling himself not to touch her was much more difficult.

The process of washing her beca both a challenging and torturous process.

Eager to have her, yet needing to suppress his impulses.

After washing Scarlett Yates, Matthew was also covered in sweat.

He wrapped Scarlett in a bathrobe, carried her back to the bed, gently placed her down, and pulled the covers over her.

After the bath, her face was as red as a ripe apple, tempting one to take a bite.

Watching her still sleeping sweetly, Matthew took several deep breaths and whispered through gritted teeth in her ear, "Scarlett Yates, what you owe , I’ll demand it back twofold on our wedding day."

Of course, Scarlett couldn’t hear these "threats."

At that mont, she was already playing chess with the Sandman. Even a thunderstorm wouldn’t wake her.

Matthew whispered a few more things through clenched teeth, feeling increasingly unbalanced, suffering so much while she was blissfully unaware. He seized all the opportunities to take advantage of while she slept, barely feeling satisfied.

Still, he couldn’t quell the fire in his heart.

He had to take a cold shower in the bathroom, lasting more than half an hour. When he finally erged with a pale face, the fire inside was finally put out.

--

Waking up in the middle of the night, Scarlett Yates felt hungry, her stomach growling.

She rubbed her eyes upon waking and found herself alone in the spacious bedroom.

As she made out that the clock on the wall pointed to 2 AM, she sat up instantly, shouting into the empty room, "Matthew Saxon, Matthew Saxon..."

No one responded to her.

The room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

Her stomach growled again.

Since coming back from Purple Mist Manor, she had fallen asleep naturally, skipping dinner.

Scarlett rubbed her growling stomach, got off the bed, and put on her fluffy slippers heading towards the door.

It was already 2 AM, and Matthew wasn’t in the bedroom. Where could he have gone?
