53: Chapter 53: The Huge Difference in Strength
“Kill them all!” Those NPCs might still have so room to retreat, and at worst, they would just retreat back to their city if they could not occupy the territory outside of it.
However, if Zhou Tian could not manage to push those NPCs back, an unfortunate future lay before him.
Therefore, Zhou Tian held nothing back in his actions towards the NPCs.
As a result, as soon as an opportunity arose and Zhou Tian managed to elude most of the NPCs, he took aim at one of the NPC squads.
Leading all of his Beastn, Zhou Tian launched an attack, directly engaging the enemy in battle.
This ti Zhou Tian had chosen a small squad of ten NPC’s, whose task was to search for Zhou Tian within a ten-mile radius of the territory.
For the NPCs, such an assignnt was as easy as they co.
However, they probably wouldn’t have expected that the task they undertook would lead them right into Zhou Tian’s activity zone.
With such a small NPC squad appearing so close by, how could Zhou Tian resist attacking them?
“Resurrect!” After his Beastman warriors engaged the NPC squad, Zhou Tian waved his hand, casting a resurrection skill on one of his fallen Beastman warriors.
At the sa ti, he launched himself directly at the group of NPCs.
Usually, whether for his own safety or for his reputation, Zhou Tian generally wouldn’t take action personally.
However, it was apparent that this situation was different.
Zhou Tian didn’t have much ti.
As soon as the NPC squad ca under attack, the main NPC force, who had a definite connection with the squad, would have already received the news.
Upon receiving the news, it was estimated that so NPCs were already rushing towards their location.
Under such circumstances, if Zhou Tian didn’t want to be encircled by the NPCs, he had to end this conflict as quickly as possible.
After Zhou Tian personally entered the battle, the situation imdiately changed.
Although the NPCs’ abilities were far superior to ordinary Beastman warriors, their power had its limits.
The capabilities of the Beastman warriors under Zhou Tian’s command were a cut above the ordinary NPCs.
Under these circumstances, when Zhou Tian took action personally, the NPCs naturally could not resist.
As a result, Zhou Tian, who charged to the frontline holding his double axes, instantaneously split an NPC soldier standing in his way in two.
Ignoring the attacks initiated by the NPCs, he used his left ax to cut them at their waists.
He traded minor injuries for the lives of two more NPCs.
It took Zhou Tian re seconds to eliminate three NPCs.
His Beastn didn’t perform badly either, under Zhou Tian’s command they were almost all using the tactics of trading injuries.
Although so Beastn were injured and died in the end, the remaining seven NPCs fell quickly under their relentless assault.
“Quick retreat!” Once again using a resurrection spell to revive a fallen Beastman warrior, Zhou Tian swiftly led his warriors away from the scene.
This ti, Zhou Tian had thoroughly provoked the NPCs.
From their perspective, Zhou Tian wasn’t an opponent at all.
Even though the territory they were in originally belonged to Zhou Tian, they had an absolute strength advantage and only saw Zhou Tian as a minor troublemaker.
However, this “minor troublemaker” had caused hundreds of their mbers to beco casualties.
Even when they were searching for him, Zhou Tian, instead of fleeing, took down one of their search squads.
Although the number of NPC casualties wasn’t high, Zhou Tian’s action undoubtedly felt like a provocation to them.
Soon after Zhou Tian retreated, the NPCs reacted even more fiercely.
No matter how Zhou Tian acted, the NPCs had a firm belief that Zhou Tian didn’t have the power to face them head-on.
Given this belief, the actions of NPCs beca more fearless.
As long as they could find Zhou Tian, the NPCs were confident, they could surely capture him.
The old thods would have to be used to search for Zhou Tian.
However, because of their previous experiences, the NPCs knew very well that Zhou Tian was probably lying in wait sowhere, looking for their weaknesses.
As soon as he saw a chance, he would likely jump out and launch an attack.
Given this situation, the group of NPCs still split up to search for Zhou Tian.
But because of their knowledge of Zhou Tian’s presence, the number of mbers in each squad changed from the original ten to a hundred.
For Zhou Tian at that ti, the actions of the NPCs undoubtedly increased the pressure on him.
With his capability, dealing with ten NPCs wasn’t much of a problem.
Although there were so risks involved, they weren’t major.
However, once the NPCs started forming squads of over a hundred people, Zhou Tian felt a real pressure.
A squad of over a hundred didn’t necessarily have powerful strength, at least not to the point that Zhou Tian would find it difficult to deal with.
But the problem was that while Zhou Tian was sure that he could defeat these squads, this action would consu a great deal of ti.
And at that particular mont, Zhou Tian simply did not have that kind of ti.
If he allowed the NPCs to surround him, with the strength he had at that mont, there was no way he could escape alive from the NPC encirclent.
Facing a squad composed of over a hundred NPCs, dealing with them would inevitably take so ti.
Within that ti fra, it was ample ti for the main NPC force to surround them.
As a result of the NPC’s deploynts, Zhou Tian couldn’t find a target to attack.
In the end, under the continuous pursuit of the NPCs, he retreated again and again, unintentionally straying further from his territory outside of the NPC city.
