327: Chapter 328 Garbage
Lin Su’er finished work and walked out of the hospital, only to see Song Xiaodong standing there waiting for her.
She wanted to maintain her composure, but couldn’t help running over to him and said with a blushed face, “Brother Dongzi.”
“Yeah, let’s go,” Song Xiaodong replied with a faint smile.
“Mhm,” Lin Su’er agreed, and then got into the car with Song Xiaodong.
Lately, Song Xiaodong had been driving Miao Qingqing’s car, a rcedes-Benz S320, not very expensive, around one to one and a half million yuan.
Such cars were common on the streets, but were still not what average people could afford.
“By the way, I haven’t asked where you live,” Song Xiaodong said.
Lin Su’er hurriedly replied, “My ho is in the suburbs.
It takes more than an hour by public transport, and about the sa if you’re driving.”
Song Xiaodong nodded and said, “No problem, we’ll get there in a bit.”
After setting the navigation, Song Xiaodong and Lin Su’er set off directly.
As they approached closer to their destination, Lin Su’er began to feel nervous, turned her head timidly, and said to Song Xiaodong, “Brother Dongzi, I don’t want to go back anymore, I’m scared to see him.”
Song Xiaodong cracked a slight smile and responded, “What’s there to be scared of?
No matter what, he’s your dad.
He can’t exactly eat you, can he?
Besides, I’m here.
Don’t worry, I’ll help you deal with this.
At the very least, we can’t let your dad keep bullying you.”
“Oh…
okay then.”
With a heart full of unease, Lin Su’er and Song Xiaodong finally arrived at the village where she lived.
The village where Lin Su’er lived was not very backward.
However, since there was a house being built at the entrance of the path leading to Lin Su’er’s ho, the road was cluttered with materials, and they couldn’t drive through, so they had to walk the rest of the way.
Nearly every household in the village had bright, large-tiled houses, and so even had two-story buildings, often a sign of a family’s well-being.
But when Lin Su’er pointed out her ho, next to the shiny tiled houses, her small, dilapidated three-room house looked even more shabby.
Feeling sowhat inferior, Lin Su’er said, “Brother Dongzi, my family is very poor, I’m embarrassed for you to see this.”
Song Xiaodong laughed, “What’s there to be embarrassed about?
My sister and I used to live in a two-room house.
You have at least three rooms, plus such a big yard.”
Lin Su’er gave a forced smile and said, “But you live in a big house now, and you have a luxury car.
I…
I…”
Song Xiaodong put his arm around Lin Su’er’s shoulders, and said, “Don’t think too much about it.
Those with more money have their ways of living, and those with less have theirs.
As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters.
Don’t always compare yourself to others.
Besides, we’re friends, aren’t we?
My sister likes you so much, would I not help you if you’re in trouble?”
Lin Su’er’s face filled with gratitude as she said, “Thank you, Brother Dongzi.”
The two entered the yard but didn’t see anyone.
There were so vegetables planted in the yard, but it was also overrun with weeds, and various kinds of debris were strewn about, as if no one lived there.
The door wasn’t locked, so Song Xiaodong and Lin Su’er went in, only to hear the sounds of a woman moaning and a man’s heavy breathing coming from the next room.
As soon as Song Xiaodong and Lin Su’er heard those sounds, they knew what was going on.
Lin Su’er’s face turned crimson, and she quickly pulled Song Xiaodong back outside.
Standing in the yard, Lin Su’er felt extrely awkward, mouth agape, not knowing what to say.
“Your dad got remarried?” Song Xiaodong asked.
Lin Su’er gave a bitter smile and replied, “No, with his behavior, who would marry him?
He certainly paid for those indecent won.”
“Oh.” In Lin Su’er’s presence, Song Xiaodong held back his words, but he still looked down on her father.
If a man spent his own money on won, Song Xiaodong wouldn’t really care—it’s just a case of mutual consent.
However, using his daughter’s hard-earned money to fool around with won, that man is truly despicable.
“Brother Dongzi, let’s go to the entrance,” Lin Su’er suggested.
They could still hear noises from inside the house, which was making her feel embarrassed.
She was still a girl untouched by romance, and it was uncomfortable enough to hear such sounds, let alone when one of the participants was her own father.
Song Xiaodong nodded and they moved further away.
Lin Su’er could no longer hear the noises inside, but Song Xiaodong, with his keen hearing, still caught so of it.
After making small talk for a bit, Song Xiaodong heard that they had finished.
He waited a while before a woman erged from the house, glanced at them without saying much, and walked straight away.
It was only then that the two entered the house.
Standing in the middle of the room, Lin Su’er coughed lightly and said, “Dad, I’m back.”
“My daughter, you’re back.
Did you bring
money?” A man’s voice sounded in the room, and soon after, a man erged.
He was wearing a tank top and baggy pants, his hair unkempt and his arms and shoulders covered in tattoos, which extended to his body as well.
Paired with his stern face, even though he was smiling, he still looked fierce.
Song Xiaodong looked at the man, truly at a loss for words.
How could such a man have fathered a daughter like Lin Su’er who was both beautiful and well-behaved?
“Oh, who’s this?
Your boyfriend?” Lin Su’er’s father, Lin Gang, surveyed Song Xiaodong up and down.
“This…” Lin Su’er hesitated for a mont, but Song Xiaodong had already taken the initiative to say, “Uncle Lin, hello.
I’m Su’er’s boyfriend, Song Xiaodong.”
“Kid, you’ve got so nerve, daring to date my daughter.” Lin Gang stretched out his hand and grabbed Song Xiaodong by the collar, glaring at him nacingly like a ferocious deity.
“Dad!
What are you doing?
Let go!” Lin Su’er was startled and quickly grabbed Lin Gang’s arm.
“Move aside!
You, girl, how dare you have a boyfriend behind my back?
You’re not taking
seriously at all.
I’m telling you, this won’t do!”
“Why not?” Lin Su’er’s eyes widened as she stared at Lin Gang.
“Nonsense.
You’re my daughter.
Whom you marry should be up to .
You want to find a boyfriend on your own?
That’s definitely not happening!” Lin Gang then turned his glare back to Song Xiaodong and barked, “Boy, you’d better scurry off as far as possible, and if you dare co close to my daughter again, Laozi will break your damn legs!”
Song Xiaodong was rather taken aback by Lin Gang’s extre reaction.
He wondered, was he really that unsuitable in his eyes?
“Uncle Lin, why do you object?”
Lin Gang shoved Song Xiaodong and snapped, “Dammit.
Do I need a reason to speak?
If I say no, it’s no.
Quit your damn yapping.
Don’t make
beat you so bad you can’t take care of yourself.”
Check out my brother’s novel “Huadu’s Little Security Guard.” The main character is a security guard in a girls’ dormitory; it’s quite provocative.
Go take a look.
