It all boiled down to two things now: to be selfish or to not be selfish. And also, to lie or not to lie.

Anthony seed to be stuck between the two, unable to move forward decisively.

His thoughts could not help but shift to questions he had seen on social dia back on Earth, questions where one was asked that if their wife and their parents were in danger, whom would they save.

Anthony could not help but feel as though he was now stuck in that exact sa situation, only far more complicated, far more personal, and far more consequential than any hypothetical scenario he had once casually read.

As Anthony was stuck at the impossible choice of choosing between Vega and his parents, the system chid again.

Anthony sighed, a breath of relief escaping his lips as he read ???’s ssage; from these words, Anthony could guess that ??? was about to offer another option, one that would not force him into such a dilemma.

Seeing the ssage, Anthony paused for a mont; the next mont, a smile appeared on his lips. He did not need to think, he did not need to contemplate it. Although ???’s gifts were always overpowered, Anthony would and will always give up any of these gifts for his parents and loved ones, without hesitation or regret.

But as Anthony was about to speak, another ssage flickered before him as ??? spoke again.

He wishes to remind you to take a few minutes, or even days, to think before you give up such a gift]

Anthony read the ssage, and he shook his head as he spoke out loud this ti, "???, if you have been watching

for the past twenty years, then you should know I am even willing to die for any of my family mbers, let alone a single gift," he spoke with a calm tone; there was no strong word of conviction behind his voice or any form of exaggerated determination, no, he simply spoke as though it was the easiest thing in the world to say.

[??? does not know what to say at your words]

Anthony shook his head, his smile remaining as he did not know what else to say; his choice was final, and that was it, simple and unchanging.

[??? smiles at you]

[??? says that he is happy he did not reincarnate so unfilial son]

"I’m lucky to have them instead," Anthony spoke in response to the last ssage, his tone steady and sincere.

[??? smiles yet again at your words]

Anthony arched an eyebrow, wondering what the decision was; after all, there was not any decision to be made here, he had simply agreed to give up on the gift, and that was all, or so he believed.

[??? says he admires your sacrifice; a true son should be willing to die for their parents]

[??? says in light of your sacrifice, he will not be taking back the gift he has bestowed upon you]

[??? says that instead of that, he shall double the gift; instead of one, you will receive two gifts instead]

[??? says if the second will be as broken and overpowered as the first as stated earlier, you will find out upon your Ascension]

[??? says you are the best person he has ever reincarnated]

[??? bids his farewell; he says he is about to resu his adventure, but is always watching]

[??? says you can go ahead and give your parents and grandparents the blood]

With that, the ssages vanished as though they had never been there.

Anthony stood frozen for a second; he did not know what to say. He stood in silence, and then the next mont, a smile appeared on his lips. He had not one gift now, but two, such glorious rewards; it was nothing but madness to Anthony, a surreal turn of events that even he had not anticipated.

Anthony had already co to a conclusion that upon ascension, he would have to start from the beginning again, from the bottom of the power ranking or whatever power system existed there. But with these two gifts, he would climb faster and have an easier ti, his journey significantly less arduous than it otherwise would have been.

’Sigh... I should ascend as quickly as possible,’ Anthony thought to himself, a sense of urgency beginning to settle within him.

He wanted to rush towards his parents and imdiately give them his blood, but unfortunately, they were in seclusion, aning he had to wait, no matter how eager he felt.

Anthony’s mind shifted to ???’s ssages; although the second gift might not be as overpowered as the first gift, Anthony did not care. It might not be overpowered by ???’s standards, but the gift would definitely be overwhelming by any other standard, far beyond what most could even dream of attaining.

’This ti, ??? personally said the first gift is stronger than every gift till date,’ Anthony thought.

’I wonder what I will tell my parents and grandparents,’ Anthony thought to himself. After all, it would be weird if soone just walked up to you, even if they were your own child, and offered you blood and told you to drink it, expecting unquestioned compliance.

’Urgh... I will just tell them a bit of the truth and leave out the other information; there is no need to lie. After all, I am sure they will trust

and drink it anyway,’ Anthony thought to himself as he decided not to overthink it any further.

It was not as if he was giving them a gallon of blood to drink or anything like that; it was simply a drop, just like the one he had given Spectre and the rest. With that conclusion, Anthony’s mind shifted to what they would acquire from his blood, physiques, bloodlines? After all, Vivian and the rest got either one of these, so even awakening soul-bound weapons that were intrinsically tied to their existence.

After a mont, Anthony stopped thinking about it; he would find out when the ti ca, and there was no need to speculate endlessly.

Anthony’s mind shifted to Vega. He did not need to give her the blood; her talent was already outrageous, and with the upgraded Human Bloodline boosting her, she was already too broken and overpowered, and Anthony’s blood would not be able to do anything for her, rendering such an act unnecessary.
