Chapter 1079: Space Bandits-1

Bryan, Rider, Bringer, and Tiara didn’t hesitate to abandon their location and fly towards Anthony’s position; they didn’t know who these people were, and there was no way they could simply float around in a random position, being near Anthony was best, the safest option available to them at this mont.

Besides, these people being here could only an one thing; they all possessed Planetary-level battle prowess, a level of power that none of them could afford to take lightly or underestimate in any possible way.

Anthony, who had closed his eyes, lazily opened them; he hadn’t even kept them shut for half an hour, and now he was forced to open them again.

He stared at Bringer and the rest as he spoke, "You all are panicking like little children," he teased, his tone calm yet faintly mocking, "didn’t you want to explore space? This is simply one of the things you see as you explore space," he added as his eyes slowly turned towards the new presences, carrying a hint of indifference.

They were from an unknown race that Anthony had never heard of, which was perfectly normal given that the galaxy had a vast and nearly endless variety of races, many of which even powerful beings would never encounter throughout their entire lives.

They were seven in number; one of them possessed an octopus-like head with tentacles dancing around him in a grotesque yet fluid motion, another stood like a human with wings expanded outward from his back, radiating a faint yet ominous presence, one seed to possess a shark-like physique with sharp features and a nacing aura, while the others bore their own distinctive and peculiar features.

They all stood on the dock of their ship, a literal sailing vessel that was ant to be used on the sea, yet was now here being used in space, drifting as though it defied all known logic and reason.

"We might gain a few good resources if we sell this Dragon, Titans, and Vampire," one of them stated with an interested tone, his gaze sweeping across the group as he had already made plans to sell everyone present without the slightest hesitation.

"Hehehe, what of the Human?" another asked, his voice laced with amusent and curiosity.

"We will simply kill him. Humans are a weak race anyway; what could they possibly earn for us? It’s not worth the trouble," the octopus-headed one replied, as he appeared to be the leader of the group, his tone casual as though speaking of sothing utterly insignificant.

Bringer, Tiara, Rider, and Bryan imdiately frowned; this was the first ti they were hearing about soone intending to sell them as slaves, and they could barely process the sheer absurdity of it, they quite literally couldn’t believe their own ears, as the situation felt both surreal and insulting.

Anthony simply shook his head, amused, as he had expected such words and actions from the very beginning. He turned to the rest as he explained, "These people are what you call Space Bandits, or Space Pirates, whichever na suits them best," he began to speak in a composed manner. "Their jobs are simply to pillage, simple and straightforward. Anyone they find, whether an aircraft or a single person, they simply kill and rob on the spot; if you are of so use, they could sell you, like they intend to do with the four of you," Anthony explained like a seasoned space expert, his tone almost instructional.

"But it doesn’t stop there; they invade budding planets that haven’t produced their own Apexus Mana Ranker, or even if the planet has, it would probably be just one to three at most. They kill them, round up the best won and n, rape them, and then sell them off later to various other races," Anthony paused briefly as he spoke, allowing his words to sink in before adding in finality, "simply put, they are the worst of the worst, and rcy isn’t a word in their language."

Rider and his friends were rendered utterly speechless at Anthony’s explanation. They had been so captivated by the allure and grandeur of space that they hadn’t taken the ti to consider its dangers, nor had they imagined that such cruelty and lawlessness existed on such a scale.

"But of course, these Space Bandits simply bully the weak and run away from the strong. If they see an aircraft belonging to any of the top races, they would make a break for it, not daring to even glance in their direction," Anthony continued, his tone steady and matter-of-fact.

"Just like right now, they’ve already said they will kill

simply because I’m from the Human race, which is on the lower tier. As for Dragons, Vampires, and Titans, you four are on the middle tier, hence why you could be sold for quite the sum; and if you four were at the Planetary level, they wouldn’t dare approach. But since I’m Human and the only Planetary-level being here, here they are," Anthony shook his head slightly as he finished speaking, almost as if the situation amused him.

This wasn’t his first encounter with these Space Bandits or Space Pirates; he had t a few of them before, but every single ti he did, they always attacked him, simply believing he was too weak to pose any threat. Even when he would kill one or two of their crew mbers with ease, the rest would simply gang up on him without hesitation, utterly oblivious to the fact that numbers made no difference to him whatsoever.

"You seem to know us too well," one of the Space Bandits stated as he glanced at Anthony with predatory eyes, his expression sharpening slightly.

They weren’t angry that Anthony had said so many bad things about them, why should they be? It was all true to begin with, and they were completely unapologetic about it. After all, the galaxy, or reality itself, doesn’t bless or reward soone for being good or righteous, nor does it punish anyone for being cruel, wicked, or evil. If there was a place all souls eventually went to, then they all went to the sa place regardless of their actions.

"I’ve run into a few of your kind," Anthony replied with a calm and almost relaxed tone, as though he found the situation mildly entertaining rather than threatening.

"Hooo!!! And you survived? You seem to be quite lucky, human," another replied, clearly intrigued, his voice carrying a mix of surprise and skepticism.

"Indeed, I consider myself quite lucky," Anthony responded with a casual shrug, clearly enjoying the interaction between himself and the Space Pirates, his deanor unchanged.

"Well, we are in a good mood. Just hand over the four of them, and I will spare you, what do you think?" the octopus-headed leader asked with a calm smile, as though he were offering an act of generosity, despite the obvious threat behind his words.

But Anthony knew the octopus-headed figure was anything but generous; he could tell the man was now speaking from a subtle trace of caution. After all, Anthony had just ntioned that he had encountered pirates and survived, which implied a certain level of strength, and now the leader was attempting to secure a gain without risking any of his n or sustaining unnecessary injuries.
