Capítulo 1412: Chapter 1413: Lunch Together at Noon

Facing a man who would never believe her, no matter what her answer was, it no longer held any significance.

Her words made Qin Feimo pause slightly.

“Is it really that difficult just to answer one question?”

Staring at the man in front of her for quite a while, Feng Jinglei lowered her eyes.

Though she felt resistance in her heart and thought the answer was utterly pointless, in the end, she still spoke.

“No, when Ma Qianqian left, I was standing in the living room the entire ti. It wasn’t until I heard the urgent screeching brakes that I rushed out. By then, what I saw was exactly what you saw.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Feimo furrowed his brows slightly.

So by the ti she rushed out, Qianqian had already had an accident, and it wasn’t as Ma Pianpian said?

“You best not utter a single lie.”

She looked up, thinking how foolish she was. Knowing he wouldn’t believe her, yet she still answered his aningless question.

“If you don’t trust , don’t ask these questions anymore. To you, my answer is always the sa, and that answer is ‘I don’t believe you’!”

Finishing her words in anger, Feng Jinglei turned and left.

Two months had passed, yet he still wanted to pin all of Ma Qianqian’s death on her. In his heart, how much space did Ma Qianqian occupy for him to rember her so endlessly, leaving room for no one else?

Faced with her reaction, Qin Feimo was slightly bewildered.

He just wanted to confirm whether things were indeed like what Ma Pianpian had said, or was it his attitude that upset her?

Gazing at the spot where her figure disappeared, Qin Feimo realized once more that this woman, though seemingly gentle as water, had her small temper.

Thinking of this, the corners of his lips couldn’t help but lift into a slight smile.

.

Coming down from the top floor, Feng Jinglei wasn’t in a good mood.

What she couldn’t understand was what Qin Feimo really ant—kissing her inexplicably one mont, wanting her to never forget him, and in the next, delving deep into Ma Qianqian’s death. Was it really as Ma Pianpian suggested, that everything he did was just to make her fall for him, only to ruthlessly discard her later, avenging Ma Qianqian’s honor?

But if that were the case, what Qin Feimo said also made sense. If he wanted her to fall for him, he wouldn’t need to put in any effort, and she would indeed…

Thinking of her heart that had been enamored for twelve years, Feng Jinglei lowered her head, disrupting her inner thoughts.

She didn’t want to be infatuated with Qin Feimo any longer!

Setting aside all thoughts, she cald herself and focused on work, only for the phone on her desk to ring at this very mont.

“Hello, M Group Finance Departnt.”

“Let’s have lunch together.”

“…” At the familiar voice, Feng Jinglei on the other end of the line froze slightly, then widened her eyes, incredulously glancing at the receiver in her hand again.

Qin Feimo?

He actually called her directly, asking her to join him for lunch?

Did he dial the wrong number, or was he having a mont of madness?

“This is Feng Jinglei.” Calming down, she thought his call was ant for another woman.

“And?” Qin Feimo raised an eyebrow over the phone.

She paused for a few seconds before questioning, “Did you dial the wrong number?”

“What do you think?” he countered.

She faltered, montarily at a loss for words.

Was he really asking her to have lunch? Why? Just a mont ago, wasn’t he questioning her about Ma Qianqian’s death? And now, he suddenly said he wanted to have lunch with her?
