Capítulo 1506: Chapter 1506: Plans and Inquiries

In the distance, on the second floor of the manor house, one of the manor’s owners, Ciris, along with the black-haired Miss Maid, stood on the second-floor terrace, watching the two people playing on the swing in the snow.

Ciris pouted slightly, but it didn’t bring any negative emotions. Tifa maintained her usual smile:

“Speaking of which, Miss Lathis, when you first settled into the manor, why did you decide to install a swing here?”

“It was Vanessa’s suggestion. She said the garden scenery was too monotone, and a swing would make it look better… Well, actually, during the sumr when the flowers in the garden bloom the best, she always likes to sit there during the afternoon.”

The golden-haired girl said, and Miss Maid nodded. The smile on her lips, accentuated by lipstick, made the lines on her lips more pronounced:

“I wonder what Miss Benanis would think if she saw this scene.”

She said softly, Ciris thought for a mont and then, with a peculiar expression, pretended not to care and said:

“Look, they really seem well-matched.”

Tifa turned to look at her. The playful aning in those black eyes made Ciris feel as if she had been seen through.

“If you really think so, then you’re just admitting defeat.”

Miss Maid reminded her, and the golden-haired girl imdiately blushed, not daring to continue speaking to prevent herself from being seen through more. anwhile, Tifa maintained her maid’s elegance, smiling as she watched the scene in the manor’s garden, looking forward to the new stories that would unfold once they returned to Tobesk City.

Shard and Luviya didn’t stay long in the snow. As the early spring snowfall grew heavier, they promptly returned to the house.

At the lunchti table that day, aside from Iluna, who was busy with the Church, all the witches and witch apprentices, including Margaret, were present.

Fortunately, the manor was already equipped with a long dining table for banquets, so there was enough room for everyone. Miss Benanis originally intended for Shard to sit at the head, but Shard firmly refused. In the end, he sat to the right of Miss Benanis.

No sensitive topics were discussed at the table; instead, the ladies talked about their recent plans after the matters in Randall Valley concluded.

Miss Galina, Tifa, and Miss Rita Swift, who were not from this city, would return to Tobesk City and Midshire Fort City through Miss Sylvia’s portal early next week. In fact, if it weren’t for Shard having been unconscious for a day and a night, they would have left imdiately.

Miss Sylvia herself ca to the area under the guise of traveling, so she planned to return to the Southern Nation’s Royal Capital Velindale City with Margaret. Their return was set for later next week, as the shipyard inauguration ceremony originally planned for this weekend was postponed to next week due to the disaster in Randall Valley.

Margaret initially planned to invite Shard to the local ceremony banquet next week. However, seeing Shard’s current condition, she decided to hold off on that idea for now. After all, there was plenty of ti in the future, and she would have many opportunities to interact with Shard once she completed the Witch Apprentice ceremony next week.

As for Miss Aphrola and her niece Haley, they used the excuse of family business to co to Randall Valley. Being important guests at the shipyard inauguration ceremony next week, they would remain in the area for about a week, which was part of the original plan.

As for Luviya, she had co to the area because of the “Sublimation Incantation” and had already been here for nearly three months. Now that the matters in Randall Valley were concluded, it was finally ti for her to go ho.

“I really miss that bed in your bedroom.”

That’s what the purple-eyed girl shyly whispered to Shard before the al.

“Speaking of which, Luviya, how are you planning to return to Tobesk? By steam train?”

At the lunch table, Shard curiously asked, while thinking of Dr. Schneider, who was temporarily staying at the Abundant Land Inn. The doctor had co to Randall Valley with difficulty, planning to stay for a few days to see the sights.

Despite arriving through the “Magician’s Escape Box,” due to the relic properties preventing consecutive use, he could only return by train. So perhaps Luviya could accompany the doctor on the way back, and they could look after each other during the journey.

“I forgot to tell you, Miss Danester sent a letter yesterday around noon.”

Luviya, as if just rembering, showed a worried expression, and the other ladies at the table looked at Shard:

“She said that when they return to the Academy, they could give

a lift and take

directly to Tobesk. The letter also ntioned… that she would be very busy for the next few days, but would definitely make ti tonight. At that ti, she plans to et with you, and I was originally worried you wouldn’t wake up tonight.”

“Shard was looking for that Thirteen Rings Female Sorcerer with

early Saturday morning, and there’s a reason for that.”

Miss Sylvia, who was deeply involved in the situation, said, and Miss Aphrola also looked at Shard with so concern:

“There’s a fundantal difference between Thirteen Rings and Twelve Rings, and it’s not just the completion of the third Sublimation Incantation. Even I couldn’t defeat your teacher… perhaps we should go together and, under the circumstances of an ambush, I think at least subduing her wouldn’t be a problem.”

“Cough cough…”

Margaret, sitting at the far end of the table, accidentally coughed a few tis.

“No, no, there’s no enmity between Miss Danester and . Just so things that weren’t clearly explained, which I can clarify.”

Shard wasn’t worried about it. Seeing him speak, Luviya teased from the side:

“You always have a way with female sorcerers.”

Laughter echoed around the table. Tifa, behind Shard, bent down to change his plate, allowing him to lower his head and mask his embarrassnt:

“Anyway, the matter of the Chosen of the Earth has finally officially ended.”

He lifted his glass:

“Originally, I planned to hold a banquet to celebrate once this matter was over, but now it seems, to investigate the appearance of the Three Gods, the Church and Academy’s investigative teams will soon be searching here, so there’s no ti for a banquet. Let’s raise our glasses now to celebrate — I’m sure there will be ti to reunite again in the future.”

The ladies at the table all smiled and raised their glasses, and even Tifa lifted a glass from the cart.

Seeing them all look at him, Shard proactively said:

“The story of the Chosen Ones will continue; after the fifth cos the sixth. Although we are not intent on changing the world, we are its guardians. Here’s to the Earth, the Deity, and ourselves.”

Outside the window was a snow-dropped early spring courtyard, warm indoors, the long table covered with delicious food. The beautiful ladies joined Shard in raising their glasses, and even Mia stood on Shard’s shoulder with her eyes glistening brightly.

Glasses filled with blood-red wine were held high beneath the crystal chandelier, sparkling brilliantly. Sotis, especially at such happy monts, the Outlander would wonder whether everything he experienced was real. But whenever he saw them, whenever he heard “her” laughter, he would understand—to him, compared to being Fate’s smile to them, they were Fate’s best gift to the lonely Outlander.

The Witch Apprentices hadn’t experienced the gathering before that Saturday morning event, now ant to be compiled into religious texts and spread as myth, so they didn’t know what Shard had done, and thus couldn’t discuss it at the table.

After lunch, the four Grand Witches went together with Shard to talk about so things.

The young won were shooed to other places, and even Luviya didn’t participate in the following conversation. It wasn’t that the Witches disallowed it, but Luviya had to hurry to the Prophet’s Society, which had been extrely busy these days.

Before leaving, she gave Shard a spirited look of encouragent, then watched him hug the sleepy and full Mia, pulled into the room by Miss Aphrola, Miss Galina, Miss Benanis, and Miss Sylvia.

Considering Shard’s physical condition, the location for the conversation remained in the room where Shard was resting, though he didn’t lie on the bed. Tifa, along with other maids from the estate, brought in tea and snacks then left the room. Once the door was closed, the five ford a circle and sat on the sofa, with the other witches all turning their gaze to Miss Aphrola, who had lovely long brown wavy hair, actually unsure of how to begin:

“So…”

She carefully composed her sentence, as if facing a patient who might go mad at any mont. Shard, of course, knew what they wanted to ask, thus he did not let Miss Aphrola continue:

“Okay, I admit I lied before.”

He blinked and looked around at the Grand Witches:

“Now I can tell you: Shard Suren Hamilton, the one holding the cat before you, is indeed defined by the Church and the world’s Circle Sorcerers as the ‘God Summoner.’ Of course, I must clarify, I’m neither Thirteen Rings nor one of those peculiar characters from Church and Prophet Society divinations.”

“ow~”

Mia, lying on Shard’s lap and enjoying the back rub, owed with squinted eyes, indicating the cat relished the mont.

After speaking, nobody else opened their mouths. The witches looked at each other’s expressions, urging the others to speak. Finally, the closest to Shard, Miss Galina, spoke. Her right thumb and index finger unconsciously toyed with the red dangling hair next to her ear:

“You’re the God Summoner. Actually, last year, in Midshire Fort, we guessed it. After the battle in Pantanal, we had little doubt left.”

The Grand Duchess from the Northern Country spoke hesitantly:

“In fact, what we wish to know isn’t that. Whether you can unleash demigod-like power is not important. What’s significant is, did you… truly summon a Deity?”
