The top three trending topics were occupied by "The Treacherous Courtier". A well-known caustic film review site had given it high marks this ti. Many had previously thought that even Chang Yu's presence couldn't save this film, but reality had given them a resounding slap in the face. What they saw in the film wasn't Ji Yaoguang, but a vivid Princess Pingyang who seed to have walked straight out of the book. Even the original author had reposted the news, saying this was the Zhao Tianxuan she had envisioned.
Li Ou V: I know many people want to ask why Ji Yaoguang's acting has improved so much, considering she was once a target of my harsh criticism. On set, she didn't put on airs, was eager to learn, and diligently analyzed her role. In terms of deanor, actions, and dialogue, I must say heaven has been particularly kind to her. Inspiration doesn't co all the ti; good actors don't rely solely on talent, but use techniques to get as close as possible to that near-inspirational state. Ji Yaoguang has done well in this regard, though of course, she still has a long way to go.
Chang Yu liked and quickly reposted this Weibo from Li Ou. Ji Yaoguang, sitting cross-legged on the bed, looked up to see Chang Yu smiling at her phone. Curious, she glanced at Chang Yu, and when she saw the line on the screen, a blush appeared on her face. Being praised by Li Ou was sothing to be truly happy about—it ant she had proven herself in front of others. Although not comparable to Chang Yu, hadn't she shaken off a big burden that had been on her head before?
—Your Highness, why don't you turn back? Why don't you chase after her?
—It's killing , I need to watch sothing else to recover.
—I thought the original was heartbreaking, but I expected the movie to give
a happy ending! Liars, give
back my tears!
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Chang Yu's finger lightly scrolled on the screen. She turned her head, her red lips almost brushing against the face that had suddenly co close. She blinked and said, "They're all saying the ending is very heartbreaking."
"Isn't it?" Ji Yaoguang coughed lightly behind her hand and said, "I watch you disappear on the dusty official road, and when you turn back, there's no one on the city wall. This perfect miss—will Yun Yanhui, banished from the country, ever have a chance to return? Or rather, do I have a chance to leave the city to find you?"
"Anything is possible."
Ji Yaoguang nodded absent-mindedly. Her anxious heart had cald upon seeing the comnts online. She had never cared so much about people's evaluations as she did now, but of course, after getting the answer she wanted, she could still let it go lightly. Her eyes sparkled as she put an arm around Chang Yu's waist, chuckling, "After all the heartbreak, let's give them a sweet treat." She didn't want to be like before, not making any moves and letting many people covet Chang Yu. She wanted to announce to the whole world that she and Chang Yu were ant for each other, and no one could separate them.
Chang Yu frowned, looking a bit hesitant. After pondering for a mont, she stopped Ji Yaoguang's action. "Let
take the photo instead." In fact, she didn't want to beco a
circulating in various groups under Ji Yaoguang's photography. Trying to keep her tone even, not showing dislike for a certain soone, but as soon as she spoke, her lips unconsciously curled into a smile. So cute photos were better kept private, no need to show them to others.
After Chang Yu posted the photo, Ji Yaoguang imdiately reposted it. Leaning on Chang Yu's shoulder, she kept scrolling through their Weibo posts, watching the comnts and likes increase one by one. Ji Yaoguang threw her phone aside with so discontent, complaining softly, "Why are so many people ntioning Siren? Have I fallen out of favor in all aspects? If they knew Siren was also in the crew, would anyone even notice us? I think letting Su Ci bring Siren back was a mistake."
Chang Yu glanced at her and responded aningfully, "You wanted the cat yourself, so even if you have to kneel, you should be a qualified caretaker."
Alarm bells rang in her mind. Ji Yaoguang imdiately sat up straight, giving Chang Yu a sidelong glance with quite an interrogative air: "Do you also think Siren is cute? I think all of you praising it against your conscience must be blind! Can't you see how ugly it is? So ugly I don't even want to look at it."
"Not long ago, you were probably secretly praising little Siren for doing a good job, weren't you?" Chang Yu chuckled. This cat must really have beco magical, with so of its little temperants following its owner, Ji Yaoguang, although she rarely fed it herself, at most holding it in her arms and rubbing it a few tis.
Ji Yaoguang, her thoughts guessed correctly, was left speechless. After a while, she could only snort and change the subject, "Where could Siren have run off to? This is a strange environnt for it. I'll go out and look for it. You stay in the room, don't catch a cold." With that, she put on her coat and went out.
The cold wind that t her face blew away the heat, and her rapidly beating heart also returned to a calm rhythm. Thinking of Chang Yu's every smile and frown, Ji Yaoguang covered her face with her hand, laughing as if enchanted. The owing sounds were accompanied by a familiar lody that entered her mind—wasn't that the the song of "The Treacherous Courtier"? It had received high praise in the industry. In the spacious courtyard, there was hardly a shadow to be seen. Ji Yaoguang's gaze finally settled on a corner. The guest called Jiang Yusheng was crouching on the ground, feeding the cats. Siren was also domineering; although it was the smallest in the yard, it was also the fiercest. Whenever other cats approached, it would bare its teeth and w dissatisfiedly.
"Don't fight, don't grab, there's enough for all of you," Jiang Yusheng murmured. She straightened up, rubbing her slightly numb legs, and turned to see Ji Yaoguang standing thoughtfully on the corridor. A blush flew to her cheeks. She walked a few quick steps, then slowed down as she approached, calling out sowhat shyly, "Teacher Ji."
"Feeding the cats?" Ji Yaoguang smiled faintly, realizing the banality of her question, and asked further, "Are you listening to the the song of 'The Treacherous Courtier'?"
"Yes," Jiang Yusheng lowered her eyelashes, not daring to et Ji Yaoguang's gaze. She replied softly, "Teacher Lu and Teacher Cheng's voices are very pleasant, and there's nothing to criticize about the lody and lyrics. It's just a bit of a pity, if only you had sung it, Teacher Ji." Her voice grew softer and softer, the last sentence blurred between her lips and teeth, scattered by a gust of wind before anyone could hear it clearly.
Ji Yaoguang nodded, "Cheng Henian is very talented. This song opened a door for her, it's just a pity she doesn't want it herself." There was no emotion discernible in Ji Yaoguang's voice, her tone as plain as if stating the most ordinary fact. She didn't interfere with others' choices. Cheng Henian was an irritable Taoist singer, but deep in her character, there was also a kind of Buddhist-like indifference and transcendence. "Did you co here with Bian Yuting?" Ji Yaoguang wasn't usually so familiar with people. Striking up a conversation with Jiang Yusheng was partly to prepare for the upcoming show, and more because of her relationship with Bian Yuting. It was well known that if Bian Yuting brought along an artist with little fa and ordinary looks, there must be sothing fishy going on.
"Yes," Jiang Yusheng's face was still flushed. She carefully glanced at Ji Yaoguang, afraid of seeing the ambiguity or disdain in her eyes like many ignorant people. She had intentionally entered the entertainnt circle and naturally had heard of Bian Yuting's reputation. But many things weren't as outsiders imagined. At first, she had also chosen a silent resistance, but her ntor had told her to relax and follow Bian Yuting. She might not trust others, but she wouldn't doubt the ntor who had always looked after her. Ji Yaoguang's eyes were clear, like a limpid spring. Jiang Yusheng secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Just as she was about to say sothing, she was interrupted by a voice that cut in out of nowhere.
"I was wondering where you'd gone, turns out you found your goddess," Bian Yuting's voice carried a hint of teasing. She sauntered to Ji Yaoguang's side, patting her shoulder, "I think I should introduce you properly. Miss Jiang here is also from Z University, her ntor entrusted her to . As far as I know, she's your die-hard fan. Of course, what she likes isn't your almost negligible acting skills, but your voice, and the anecdotes left behind in the campus—the little girl even specially went to the club you used to be in to look for your works."
"Sister Bian-" Jiang Yusheng's breath caught, she looked at Bian Yuting sowhat helplessly, her face flushing even more. Having these things revealed in front of her favorite goddess, no matter how you looked at it, was quite embarrassing. Unfortunately, her voice was as faint as a mosquito's, and Bian Yuting either didn't hear or chose to ignore it. After saying everything, she patted Jiang Yusheng's shoulder and smiled, "This is a good opportunity. Your goddess is right in front of you, don't you want to ask her sothing? Don't worry, your ntor knows her too."
"I-" Jiang Yusheng's expression was still timid. She lowered her head in frustration, her hands twisting the hem of her clothes in silence.
Bian Yuting chuckled and turned to Ji Yaoguang: "Why don't you give her seventeen or eighteen signed photos and posters?"
"Stop fooling around," Ji Yaoguang frowned and glared at Bian Yuting. This person never knew how to read the room; the young girl was already shy. Without pen and paper, naturally, she couldn't sign anything. Bian Yuting's words were probably exaggerated. Ji Yaoguang pondered for a mont before saying, "We start filming tomorrow, there will be more opportunities for interaction then. It's a bit cold, let's go back inside first."
