Chapter 722: Chapter 0724: Let’s Go Up

Bingtong turned her head back and glared at Chu Ge, unable to resist speaking up in a coquettish and complaining tone: “Chu Ge, you go out first.”

Chu Ge’s gaze had been fixed on Bingtong’s back, on her smooth, pale shoulders, which made him forget to look away for a mont.

Suddenly being glared at by Bingtong, he ca back to his senses out of the blue, cleared his throat, and said, “Well… I’ll wait for you outside.”

After speaking, he swiftly turned around and walked out with big steps. When he reached the door, he inadvertently glanced back at Bingtong a few tis as he closed the door.

Bingtong gave him an annoyed stare, and Chu Ge hurriedly shut the door.

Soon, Bingtong had changed her clothes. She had finished her makeup before Chu Ge’s arrival; as usual, her makeup was light. Due to her casual attire, she tied her hair up in a ponytail, exuding a youthful energy.

When Bingtong erged from the bedroom, Chu Ge had just received an urging phone call from Jian Chunqiu. Seeing that Bingtong was ready, he began to lead her to the hotel they had booked.

On the way, Bingtong sidelong glanced at Chu Ge, observing him driving familiarly through the streets of Capital City, and couldn’t help but tease: “It seems like you’re quite familiar with the area here.”

Chu Ge smiled, “I wouldn’t say I’m that familiar, but I often take this road, so I rember it.”

Chu Ge’s modesty was not lost on Bingtong, who was well aware of his eidetic mory.

They drove to the appointed hotel, and Lin Dong had been waiting at the entrance for a while.

Upon seeing Chu Ge’s car approaching, he quickly stepped forward to greet them, grinning at Bingtong: “Sister-in-law, indeed your charm is great. Elder Jian suggested many tis that we dine together, but Mr. Chu always refused. Thanks to sister-in-law, we’ve all got to bask in your light this ti.”

Bingtong had a faint smile on her face. She looked up at Chu Ge and asked, “Really? So, Chu Ge is usually this stingy with you all?”

Lin Dong hurriedly waved his hands, chuckling, “Not stingy, it’s just that we hardly get a chance to have a al with Mr. Chu, he’s too busy.”

Bingtong made an elongated “Oh” sound, coughed lightly and, glancing sideways at Chu Ge, asked, “So, no ti to dine with them, but ti to accompany a beauty, is that what you an?”

Chu Ge: …

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong imdiately realized he had said the wrong thing. He raised his hand to slap his own mouth, apologetically saying to Bingtong: “Sister-in-law, I misspoke; I didn’t an it like that, what I was trying to say is…”

Oh no, if his careless words caused any disagreent between Bingtong and Chu Ge, he would be the one at fault.

Chu Ge cast a resentful glance at Lin Dong, then slightly curved his lips and said to Bingtong, “Alright, let’s go in. Uncle Jian and the others are all getting anxious.”

Bingtong was just teasing Chu Ge and didn’t actually an to take it seriously. She followed behind Chu Ge, heading toward the hotel.

Just then, as luck would have it, just as Chu Ge and Bingtong walked into the lobby, they encountered soone.

The man in the garish pink suit was standing at the front desk talking with a clerk. Hearing a sowhat familiar voice, he couldn’t help but turn his head for a look. At that glance, he was first captivated by Mu Bingtong’s aura and beauty.

Yuwen Kangli’s eyes brightened up. After seeing hot beauties like Nangong Man Sha, it was hard for him to be impressed by others, but the woman before him was different from the fiery allure of Nangong Man Sha: a mix of innocence with a hint of coldness that made her stand out imdiately.

Educated as he was, Yuwen Kangli certainly wouldn’t act like a street ruffian whistling at attractive won. He straightened his clothes, then approached in the direction of Mu Bingtong.

Because of an issue with her shoes, Mu Bingtong had stopped for a mont, falling behind Chu Ge. When Chu Ge realized she hadn’t followed, he turned around and saw Yuwen Kangli approaching Mu Bingtong.

“Miss, haven’t we t sowhere before?”

The clichéd pick-up line made Mu Bingtong frown slightly. She glanced sideways at Yuwen Kangli with an icy tone: “Sorry, sir, but I do not know you.”

With that, she tried to step around him.

Yuwen Kangli hadn’t yet obtained Mu Bingtong’s phone number and would not let her go easily. He stepped forward with a smile, blocking her way, and said, “Miss, we didn’t know each other before, but now we’ve t. That’s how relationships work, isn’t it? Familiarity cos with ti.”

Mu Bingtong responded with a slight curl of her lips, her smile cold and distant. “But I’m not interested in getting to know you.”

Had it been soone else, Yuwen Kangli would have exploded by now, because in the Capital City, not many won dared to disrespect him like this. They usually flocked to curry favor with him.

Thinking Mu Bingtong didn’t recognize him, Yuwen Kangli introduced himself: “Since you don’t know , let

introduce myself. My na is Yuwen Kangli, the future heir to the Yuwen Family, one of the Six Major Families of Kyoto. Surely you’ve heard of

in the Capital, haven’t you?”

Mu Bingtong didn’t care whether he was from one of the Six Major Families or so heir. “Sorry, I am not from the Capital City, so I don’t know what you’re talking about. Please, step aside; I have matters to attend to.”

From the beginning, Mu Bingtong had never shown Yuwen Kangli any favor, to be precise, she had never looked him straight in the eye.

This deeply wounded Yuwen Kangli’s pride. His face darkened as he scoffed, “Don’t be so arrogant. It would be your good fortune to have

fancy you!”

Mu Bingtong found him ridiculous. With a side glance and a sharp, cold gaze, she addressed Yuwen Kangli: “I’d rather not have such fortune. Move aside, please! If you don’t, I will call for help!”

Glancing around, Mu Bingtong inadvertently caught sight of soone hurriedly approaching. Looking over, she saw Chu Ge returning. The coldness on her face softened for a mont, revealing a gentle smile.

Yuwen Kangli, srized by the smile on her face, felt an intensified desire to win her over.

But he wasn’t a fool; it was clear the smile was not ant for him. Yuwen Kangli followed her gaze and turned around to see Chu Ge approaching.

“It’s you?” Yuwen Kangli frowned, scowling, “Seems like a small world full of nuisances!”

Chu Ge gave him a chilly look, saying nothing but walking over to Mu Bingtong, inquiring, “What’s the matter? Are you okay?”

Mu Bingtong shook her head, then said to Chu Ge, “It’s nothing. Let’s go upstairs.”
