Chapter 1225: Chapter 1237

Inside the banquet hall, Chu Ge found a place to sit, and Yuwen Kangli followed closely behind.

Chu Ge looked at him curiously and said with a smile, "I say, Young Master Yuwen, in this kind of setting, why aren’t you socializing? Why do you keep following ?"

Yuwen Kangli cleared his throat lightly and, sitting beside Chu Ge, gave an awkward laugh, "You see my current situation, who would still want to socialize with ? Instead of listening to their cold sarcasm, I’d rather find a quiet place to rest for a while."

Chu Ge chuckled softly, naturally understanding Yuwen Kangli’s thoughts.

Even if he wanted to find a quiet place to rest for a while, it didn’t an he had to keep following Chu Ge. He followed him because he knew about Chu Ge and Nangong Man Sha’s relationship.

He wanted to leverage his relationship with Nangong Man Sha to boost or regain his status in Upper-class society.

Chu Ge lowered his gaze slightly; it seed that this Yuwen Kangli wasn’t that foolish after all. At the very least, he knew how to use his environnt and the people around him to achieve his goals.

Yuwen Kangli noticed Chu Ge’s silence and felt uneasy. He scratched his head and said with a bit of an awkward laugh, "Mr. Chu, you wouldn’t still be holding a grudge against

for our past issues, would you?"

Chu Ge smiled and shook his head gently, saying, "I told you at the Gambling Stone Field that I’m not petty enough to hold grudges. Moreover, I’m going to help you improve your martial arts starting the day after tomorrow. If I bore a grudge against you, why would I agree to help?"

Yuwen Kangli was taken aback, then pondered for a mont, realizing the logic in his words. He scratched his head awkwardly and sat there, unsure where to place his hands.

Chu Ge glanced up at him with a slight smile and didn’t say more, instead picking up the tea in front of him and taking a sip.

Being able to drink tea at such a high-class banquet was indeed a rarity.

Nangong Man Sha knew that Chu Ge didn’t like drinking wine or champagne, so she specifically instructed the waiter to brew a cup of top-quality tea for him.

Yuwen Kangli looked at the tea in Chu Ge’s cup, sowhat puzzled, "Mr. Chu, why don’t you try so of the wine?"

Chu Ge smiled and said, "Wine is poison that passes through the gut. Moreover, for martial artists, drinking that kind of wine isn’t good for the body and can easily disturb the mind."

The wines they drank during cultivation were self-brewed rice wines, pure and sweet, far better than any wine sold on the market.

He was used to drinking that kind of wine in the deep mountains, and after coming to this society, he found it hard to get accustod to other wines.

Yuwen Kangli had never tasted the kind of rice wine Chu Ge ntioned. He glanced at the red wine in front of him.

For young n of Upper-class society like them, red wine and champagne are indispensable at every gathering. These should only be sipped lightly, not drunk to intoxication. If anyone hears about a young man or lady from a distinguished family getting drunk at a party because of red wine, it will surely make headlines the next day.

Watching Chu Ge sipping his tea lightly, seemingly oblivious to the world’s troubles and filtering out all the surrounding noise, Yuwen Kangli couldn’t help feeling curious. His curious gaze remained fixed on Chu Ge.

Chu Ge looked at him, puzzled, and asked, "What, do you want to try it too?"

Yuwen Kangli gave a couple of awkward laughs and nodded lightly, "Seeing you enjoying it so much, I can’t help but want to try a sip."

Chu Ge burst into laughter, took a teacup, pulled out a Small Jade Bottle from his chest, poured a drop of Spiritual Liquid into the cup, then added the tea.

Throughout the process, Yuwen Kangli was in a state of confusion, filled with curiosity, "Mr. Chu, what did you just add in there?"

While storing away the Spiritual Liquid, Chu Ge gently swirled the teacup and said, "It’s Spiritual Liquid, which I refine every morning during my exercises."

Seeing Yuwen Kangli didn’t understand, Chu Ge looked at him in surprise, "I gave a bottle to Old Master Yu Wen before, didn’t you know?"

Yuwen Kangli shook his head. He hadn’t heard about this from Old Master Yu Wen; in fact, the old master hadn’t ntioned anything about Spiritual Liquid to him.

"No worries if you didn’t know before. It’s not too late to learn now."

He handed the freshly brewed tea to Yuwen Kangli, gestured invitingly, and said, "Try the tea and see how it is."

Yuwen Kangli curiously picked up the teacup, steam rising from it with a faint fragrance emanating all around. Just the aroma alone was enough to give one a feeling of tranquility and comfort.

He brought the tea closer and sniffed it carefully; it slled wonderful.

Yuwen Kangli couldn’t help but praise it.

He took a light sip, finding it distinctly different from ordinary tea. Regular tea often left a slightly astringent taste with bitterness in the mouth, but this tea was noticeably different.

Yuwen Kangli scrutinized the tea, taking another sip, and remarked approvingly, "Truly extraordinary, Mr. Chu, this tea is really delightful."

As he drank, the cup was quickly emptied.

Chu Ge watched him with amusent and said, "You shouldn’t rush drinking tea; with your thod, you’ll soon fill up."

"Huh?" Yuwen Kangli was stunned, scratching his head in embarrassnt, "I just wanted the taste to linger a little longer in my mouth."

Chu Ge shook his head with a smile, "Take a sip, and the flavor will linger in your mouth for a long ti. Drinking tea is about savoring the taste. Now feel it, does the fragrance still linger on your tongue?"

Yuwen Kangli paused in surprise, then felt it and indeed sensed the fragrance lingering on his tongue.

"Try another cup, and this ti, drink slowly. You’ll have unexpected effects."

Following Chu Ge’s suggestion, Yuwen Kangli poured himself another cup.

This ti, he drank slowly and carefully, as Chu Ge had instructed, and indeed experienced a sense of detachnt.

Though noise surrounded him, he was able to calm his mind, unaffected by external disturbances, as if a barrier shielded him from the noise.

"This tea is truly remarkable, Mr. Chu. Didn’t you say my grandpa has a bottle too? I’ll ask him for it when I return and try it."

Yuwen Kangli couldn’t praise it enough, and seed to recall sothing, curiously asking, "Mr. Chu, if I learn martial arts, can I also extract these things?"

Chu Ge laughed and nodded, "Of course you can. However, depending on the level of your martial arts, the purity of the Spiritual Liquid extracted may vary."

Finding it sowhat unclear, Yuwen Kangli asked, "What happens if it’s not pure?"

Chu Ge shook his head with a smile, "Nothing will happen. This kind of thing will only be beneficial to your body, not harmful."
