“She even told

it was because she fell off a bike as a kid,” Liu Shuo grumbled.

It was Liu Shuo’s first ti, and while he was thrilled, he still couldn’t resist complaining a bit.

Reading Liu Shuo’s ssages, Zhou Yuwen chuckled. “Lu Hui isn’t unattractive, and she’s 25. It’d be strange if she had never dated before.”

“I know, I don’t really care about that. I just hate how she treats

like an idiot, as if I don’t know anything. (Grinning emoji),” Liu Shuo continued.

Zhou Yuwen replied, “Could it be true, though? Maybe it really happened when she was a kid?”

“No way.”

“Why not?”

As the conversation carried on, Zhou Yuwen leaned back on the sofa, chatting with Liu Shuo until late at night. Around midnight, Li Qiang called.

“Yo, Zhou, up for so Werewolf?” Li Qiang asked cheerfully.

“Now?!” Zhou Yuwen glanced at the ti. “Forget it, it’s so late, and didn’t Ms. Sun already tell us not to play?”

“Co on! We’ll play online!”

“Online?”

“Yeah, Chang Hao found a Werewolf app. Just download it and we can keep playing a few more rounds!”

Zhou Yuwen wasn’t particularly interested, but he rembered how disappointed Shen Yu and Lu Lin had looked earlier when they had to cancel the ga. Considering it was a rare chance for them to unwind, Zhou Yuwen decided to say yes.

“Is it just you over there?” he asked.

“Nope, Chang Hao’s in too. What about you?”

The idea had co from Chang Hao, but he was too embarrassed to call Zhou Yuwen directly and had asked Li Qiang to do it instead.

“Why not just admit you want to play with Yanyan?” Li Qiang teased.

“Stop talking nonsense!” Chang Hao denied hurriedly. “I only thought about it because Su Qing and the other girls seed interested in Werewolf earlier. We don’t get chances like this often.”

“Alright, alright. No need to explain. I’ll call him for you.”

Li Qiang dialed Zhou Yuwen and asked.

After agreeing, Zhou Yuwen said he’d check with the girls and hung up. He went to knock on Su Qing’s door. From inside, soone told him to co in directly.

When Zhou Yuwen entered, he found four girls in the room.

Among them, Zheng Yanyan stood out. While the others were dressed in pajamas after their showers, ready to sleep, Yanyan had gone all out. She was lying on the bed, showing off her long legs in white suspenders.

Shen Yu genuinely admired Yanyan’s boldness and carefree attitude. Her pink-dyed hair, her off-shoulder sweater exposing a lace strap—it was hard not to be captivated. Even as another girl, Shen Yu felt a bit smitten.

Yanyan, however, laughed at Shen Yu’s complints. “What’s there to admire? If you want, you can dye your hair too.”

“?” Shen Yu hesitated, then shook her head. “No, I’ll pass.”

Shen Yu had always been a reserved girl, unlike Yanyan, who lived life with wild abandon.

Zhou Yuwen couldn’t help but notice Yanyan, sprawled alluringly on the bed, propping her head up with one hand.

“Planning to sleep here tonight?” he asked.

Yanyan, seeing Zhou Yuwen, imdiately leapt up with a grin.

“Of course not! I’m spending the night with my hubby. Hubby, don’t I look beautiful?” she cooed, crawling to the edge of the bed and hugging Zhou Yuwen with a playful smile.

Zhou Yuwen couldn’t deny that she felt softer and slled sweeter, likely thanks to the hotel’s provided bath products.

He asked if the girls wanted to play Werewolf.

Shen Yu perked up. “Weren’t we done for the night?”

“Oh, Li Qiang said we could play online. You just need to download the app, but we’d have to play from separate rooms.”

“Separate rooms?”

“Yeah, you can’t all stay in one room,” Zhou Yuwen explained.

“That’s a hassle…” Shen Yu hesitated, feeling anxious about playing poorly and embarrassing herself.

“It’s not too bad,” Zhou Yuwen reassured her. “Want to give it a try?”

“Why not?” Yanyan jumped in enthusiastically. She had been ready to head downstairs earlier, only for Zhou Yuwen to co back up instead.

With Yanyan leading the charge, the others agreed hesitantly, and Zhou Yuwen suggested playing just a couple of rounds.

Typically, Werewolf required 12 players, but nine could work. They already had seven, so they just needed two more.

anwhile, Liu Shuo, still chatting with Zhou Yuwen, ntioned wanting to move out of Lu Hui’s rental.

“Her place is terrible. It’s just a partitioned room without a private bathroom. I swear, when we’re together, everyone can hear everything.”

“Isn’t that great? They’ll know how impressive you are,” Zhou Yuwen teased.

“…No way, it’s too awkward.”

The next morning, Liu Shuo took Lu Hui to a hotel.

“You’re still at the hotel?” Zhou Yuwen asked.

“Yeah, taking a break in the bathroom right now.”

“How many tis now?”

“Hehe…”

Liu Shuo had lost count after spending two days with Lu Hui, alternating between her place and the hotel. Chatting with Zhou Yuwen while in the bathroom, he sounded smug yet exhausted.

“Take it easy,” Zhou Yuwen advised. “Even the healthiest body can’t keep up at this rate.”

“That’s why I’m hiding here,” Liu Shuo admitted.

After a while, Zhou Yuwen changed the subject. “Want to play Werewolf? We’re short two players.”

“How do you play?”

Zhou Yuwen explained the rules briefly. Liu Shuo, intrigued by the idea of playing with Zhou Yuwen and the girls, asked Lu Hui if she wanted to join.

“Hey, do you know how to play Werewolf?” Liu Shuo called out to Lu Hui, who was lounging on the bed with her phone.

At this mont, Lu Hui was lounging in nothing but a camisole. Despite her lukewarm feelings toward Liu Shuo, she had to admit he looked physically strong—but in reality, he was all show and no substance.

Lu Hui, now 25 and at a stage where her desires were awakening after a boyfriend-less stretch, figured she could try dating Liu Shuo for a while. At least he knew how to dote on her; he’d even ntioned renting a place for her earlier.

Still, her attitude toward Liu Shuo remained tepid, as though he owed her sothing.

Hearing his question about Werewolf, she replied casually, “Why?”

“My brother and sister-in-law are playing. They’re asking if we’d like to join.”

“I’m great at Werewolf! Back in school, I was practically unbeatable!” Lu Hui’s eyes lit up at the ntion of Zhou Yuwen playing, her enthusiasm suddenly reignited.

Was this an invitation into Zhou Yuwen’s inner circle?

As a college graduate who had drifted without clear goals, Lu Hui enjoyed social gas like Werewolf. She’d often upload carefully curated photos—sotis full-body or leg shots—to these apps, attracting a crowd of digital admirers.

In apps like these, appearances mattered. Players often dressed their avatars in premium outfits to stand out, and Lu Hui’s account reflected this culture. Her in-ga character was a vision of extravagance, with a wedding gown, sunglasses, and heels—boasting a staggering 999

charm score.

Lu Hui eagerly asked Zhou Yuwen which app they were using.

“Not sure yet. Any recomndations?” Zhou Yuwen, now treating her as family given her relationship with Liu Shuo, was slightly more accommodating.

Lu Hui quickly suggested an app she was familiar with, and Zhou Yuwen agreed. “Alright, download it and set up a room.”

“Got it!”

For Lu Hui, the past few days had been mundane, consisting mainly of physical encounters with Liu Shuo. This ga, though, brought a spark of excitent. She rushed to create a ga room.

The group of nine entered the room shortly after. While Zhou Yuwen and the others appeared as default avatars, Lu Hui’s fully adorned character imdiately stood out.

Back in their room, Zhou Yuwen and Zheng Yanyan were preparing to play. Lu Lin had joined them, while Yanyan lounged on the bed, her curiosity piqued by the dazzling character on screen.

“Hubby, who’s that with the 999 charm?”

“It’s Lu Hui. You’ve t her,” Zhou Yuwen replied.

“Oh, her.” Yanyan lost interest instantly. She clicked on Lu Hui’s profile out of boredom, finding the premium outfits unimpressive. Crawling onto Zhou Yuwen’s lap, she pouted, “Hubby, I want a skin too!”

“You don’t even know how many rounds we’ll play, and you already want a skin?” Zhou Yuwen teased.

“I just want one! I want to match with you as a couple!” Yanyan’s lips puckered in a playful protest.

Zhou Yuwen gave her a quick kiss and relented. “Fine. If you want it, go ahead and buy it.”

“Really? You an it?” Yanyan’s face lit up with joy.

“Of course.”

“Yay! Thanks, hubby!”

anwhile, Lu Hui, overhearing their exchange through the ga’s open mic, felt a pang of jealousy. It had taken her two years of grinding to reach her 999 charm score. Yet here was Zheng Yanyan, casually buying a high-value skin just for fun. Both won—but treated so differently.

When Chang Hao and Li Qiang joined the ga, Yanyan was still shopping for skins, considering her options.

Lu Hui’s cold voice suddenly interrupted, “Alright, everyone ready? Let’s start.”

Her tone was markedly different online—sultry and commanding, a textbook example of the "dominant older woman" persona.

Hearing her voice, Shen Yu couldn’t help but whisper to Su Qing, “Why does she sound so strange? Is she really one of Zhou Yuwen’s friends?”

“I think she’s from his company’s finance departnt,” Su Qing replied, finding the voice equally off-putting.

Li Qiang, on the other hand, was enthralled. “Wow, who’s the one with that voice? Another of Zhou’s recruits?”

He clicked on her profile, only to be greeted with a gallery of carefully curated photos—highlight reels of Lu Hui’s life.

One picture showed her night jogging in a camisole, her toned abs on display. Another was a June post from a few years back, where she posed in a gray office suit with nude stockings and heels, captioned: “First job! Wish

luck!”

Li Qiang’s eyes widened at the sight of her legs wrapped in stockings. He couldn’t help swallowing hard.

Lu Hui’s profile was a treasure trove of suggestive photos, including one where she flaunted her legs with the caption:

“My stockings tore! Which kind soul will sponsor

a new pair?”

The comnt section was predictably filled with replies like:

“Straight into my mouth!”

“I’ll buy you new ones, but you have to give

the old pair! (wink emoji)”

Li Qiang, unable to resist, imdiately sent a friend request.

“Hey, why’d you add her?” Chang Hao asked, baffled.

“To chat, of course! As Zhou’s buddy, it’s my duty to look after his subordinates,” Li Qiang replied with a grin.

Chang Hao rolled his eyes, exasperated.

anwhile, Lu Hui noticed the request from a user nad “Your Strength” and clicked on it. The account was clearly a throwaway—no profile picture, just a generic level-one account with a location marked as the capital.

“Beijing native?” Lu Hui muttered to herself.
