Typically, Zheng Yanyan liked to take things slow. Recently, she had even watched a few instructional videos in her dorm to improve herself.
anwhile, Su Qing, who was hiding in the storage room, froze when she overheard Zheng Yanyan’s soft voice coming from the living room.
Wait, was Zhou Yuwen telling the truth?
That bold, high-and-mighty campus queen, Zheng Yanyan, was now acting so docile and agreeable?
Su Qing couldn't believe it. Her curiosity overwheld her, and she cracked open the storage room door for a peek.
At that mont, her heart raced wildly.
"No way... that girl?"
Su Qing’s gaze was equal parts critical and intrigued, but she couldn’t tear her eyes away. It was impossible to reconcile the Zheng Yanyan she knew with the submissive figure she now saw.
Zhou Yuwen, seated on the sofa, was calm and composed. Zheng Yanyan, however, had taken a far more humble stance, leaning toward Zhou Yuwen, her deanor utterly unfamiliar to Su Qing.
From her vantage point, Su Qing could clearly see everything. If Zheng Yanyan so much as turned her head, she’d spot Su Qing imdiately.
Zhou Yuwen noticed Su Qing’s peeking and shot her a stern glare, silently urging her to retreat.
But Su Qing couldn’t look away, her feet seemingly frozen in place. Despite Zhou Yuwen’s increasingly obvious gestures, she pushed the door open slightly wider, stepping forward for a better view.
Zheng Yanyan, oblivious, remained focused on Zhou Yuwen. She adjusted herself on the carpet beside him, propping her head against his thigh. Her expression showed hesitation, as though she were considering her next move.
“Focus here, baby,” Zhou Yuwen said to Zheng Yanyan, disguising his subtle warning to Su Qing.
Reluctantly, Su Qing retreated, pouting as she eased the door shut.
“Sorry, baby,” Zhou Yuwen said to Zheng Yanyan, his tone softening as he slid down from the sofa to sit beside her on the carpet. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
“I was too hasty,” he admitted.
“Hmph! I know you were eager,” Zheng Yanyan muttered, puffing her cheeks. “But you don’t need to rush. I’m yours, completely yours. Are you afraid I’ll run away or sothing?”
Zhou Yuwen chuckled, stroking her hair. “You’re such a good girl. Co here—let
kiss you properly.”
His gentle approach imdiately lted Zheng Yanyan’s irritation. She let herself relax in his embrace, her pout transforming into a shy smile.
“You’re so good to , hubby,” she said coyly.
“Of course,” Zhou Yuwen said, tightening his arm around her. “You’re my baby, after all.”
In the bedroom, Zhou Yuwen and Zheng Yanyan’s laughter echoed, their closeness bringing them peace. The earlier tension between them—stemming from the rumors and pressures caused by Tao Tian—dissipated completely.
anwhile, Su Qing fud in the storage room. She couldn’t stop replaying what she’d seen in her head.
Her fists clenched tightly at her sides, her mind racing.
“Zheng Yanyan, how could you? You’re supposed to be the proud, untouchable queen. And yet…”
Though Su Qing had stepped back into the storage room, her thoughts stayed fixated on the living room.
The sound of soft murmurs and giggles filtered through the walls, stoking her annoyance even further.
“This should have been my place, my mont with him…”
Just then, the doorbell rang, interrupting Zhou Yuwen’s thoughts.
He was about to get up and answer the door, but Zheng Yanyan, now dressed after her shower, was already on her feet.
“I’ll get it!” she said sweetly, flashing a grin at him.
Zhou Yuwen smiled faintly as she went to the door, her deanor as cheerful as ever.
