Hearing Su Qing's weak voice, Zhou Yuwen found it quite amusing.

"Miss Su, I don't think I know you," he said.

"Well, we could get to know each other through chatting. Zhou Yuwen, I'm also from Xu Zhou First High School. We t at school before!" she replied.

"So you had a crush on , huh?" Zhou Yuwen teased.

"If you want to put it that way, then yes, I had a crush on you."

"I didn't notice."

"Are you feeling a bit smug now?" Su Qing asked.

"Not really. Miss Su, I don't plan on dating in college," Zhou Yuwen said.

"Really?" Su Qing felt this was too flattering for her ex-husband, who now seed to have an inflated ego.

"Of course. I need to focus on my studies."

"Ha!" Su Qing laughed, which offended Zhou Yuwen slightly.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing. I just think you'd be better off writing novels with your free ti. You're quite suited for it."

"But I have no interest in writing novels."

"You're just bragging!"

In Zhou Yuwen's previous life, his biggest achievent was his success in writing novels. Su Qing firmly believed that writing novels was his ultimate path to success. Making millions a year through novels had already established him as an elite in society.

In this reborn life, Zhou Yuwen did have so thoughts about writing novels, but he would never admit it to Su Qing. He was talking to her from his dorm room, and although they were divorced, they held no deep grudges against each other. Teasing his ex-wife was one of his amusents.

They chatted like this for about half an hour. Su Qing wanted to add Zhou Yuwen on WeChat.

"But I don't want to add you on WeChat," he said.

Su Qing pouted, "Co on, just add . More friends, more paths."

In their past life, Zhou Yuwen pursued Su Qing in college. She had always maintained a cold deanor. Now, reborn, Su Qing wanted to rekindle their relationship. Their roles reversed, with Su Qing now chasing Zhou Yuwen, who remained aloof. Of course, Su Qing didn't know Zhou Yuwen had also been reborn.

If one day she discovered that the Zhou Yuwen she was now fawning over was the sa Zhou Yuwen from the future, she might be furious.

After Su Qing's persistent requests, Zhou Yuwen reluctantly added her on WeChat. They continued their conversation there, with Zhou Yuwen maintaining a distant tone, which only fueled Su Qing's competitive spirit.

Thinking, "If I could win you over in the last life, there's no way I can't do it this ti."

Su Qing, overjoyed, returned to her dorm and continued chatting with Zhou Yuwen. Her cheerful deanor caught Zheng Yanyan's attention.

"So happy? Did your future boyfriend reply?" Zheng Yanyan teased.

"Future boyfriend? What do you an by that?" Su Qing retorted, displeased.

"If not a future boyfriend, then what?"

After thinking montarily, Su Qing corrected, "Prospective boyfriend!"

Zheng Yanyan laughed at this.

After a brief chat on WeChat, Zhou Yuwen said he would sleep and ended the conversation. It was already eleven o'clock, and Lu Yuhang was already in bed. Chang Hao was playing Warcraft III on his laptop, and Li Qiang was watching.

"Didn't you bring a laptop?" Chang Hao asked.

"No, I thought I'd buy one in the second year," Li Qiang replied.

Chang Hao scoffed, "Who goes to college without a laptop?"

Li Qiang explained that the admission office said there weren't many courses needing a laptop in the first year.

"Besides, I'm here to study. Why would I need a laptop?"

Chang Hao seed to understand the real reason but didn't say anything. He took a cigarette from his pack, lit it, and started smoking while playing.

Seeing Li Qiang eyeing his cigarette, Chang Hao offered, "Want one?"

"Is it okay? I've already taken a few."

"It's just a few cigarettes. We're roommates now; we should look out for each other." Chang Hao was generous.

"Thanks, Brother Hao!" Li Qiang grinned, taking a cigarette.

"Want one, Zhou?" Chang Hao asked.

In his previous life, Zhou Yuwen had the habit of smoking. Even when he first got reborn, he couldn't help but smoke a cigarette to calm down. But after accepting his rebirth, his urge to smoke vanished.

"You guys go ahead, I won't," Zhou Yuwen declined.

"Brother Zhou, you don't know how to enjoy life. Brother Hao's offering good cigarettes," Li Qiang said, puffing away with Chang Hao.

Zhou Yuwen glanced at Lu Yuhang, wrapped up in his blanket, and said, "Once you finish that, it's enough. Yuhang's trying to sleep."

Chang Hao agreed. Zhou Yuwen didn't force them but didn't enjoy the smoky dorm atmosphere either. He took a can of cola and left the room.

On the first day of school, despite it being eleven at night, the boys' dormitory was still noisy. Zhou Yuwen walked to the end of the corridor, passing brightly lit rooms with open doors. Each dorm had its unique stories, yet they were all similar. First ti away from ho, eting new friends. They were all excited, wearing shorts and baring their torsos.

So dorms were chugging beer, and others were playing music. Finally reaching the window, Zhou Yuwen looked outside. The sky was clear, with a bright moon hanging high.

This bright moon couldn't be seen in the future. Seeing it now, it appeared exceptionally luminous. He opened his can of cola, the fizzing sound accompanying the carbonation release. Taking a sip, he enjoyed the mont.

Then his phone rang. Expecting a ssage from Su Qing, he checked and saw it was his mother.

Settled in?

Seeing the note, Zhou Yuwen paused. After marrying Su Qing, he rarely contacted his family. His father was a stern man who seldom showed affection. In his youth, Zhou Yuwen felt his father didn't like him. Only when his father gave him a million yuan for a house upon marriage did he understand silent fatherly love. His mother, on the other hand, always cared for him.

Rembering his first day at university, his mother had called him. They chatted for hours, with him excitedly sharing his college experiences. Until she asked, "Do you miss ho?" He reflexively said yes, then felt hosick, realizing he was 500 miles away.

Receiving his mother's call now, he felt a twinge of anxiety. Adjusting himself, he answered, "Hey, Mom."

"Hey, are you adjusting well?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"I wanted to take you to school, but your dad insisted you must be independent. Rember to eat on ti, and don't stay up late. If you need money, let

know. It's your first ti away from ho..." Her voice choked up.

Zhou Yuwen smiled, "Mom, I'm doing great here."

"That's good," she replied.

A silence fell. Zhou Yuwen couldn't chatter endlessly like before, and his mother didn't know what else to say. She likely called just to hear his voice. Now reassured, she said, "It's late, get so rest."

"Mom," Zhou Yuwen called out as she was about to hang up.

"Yes?"

"I miss you and Dad," he said, smiling. Despite his efforts, his nose tingled with emotion. He hadn't seen his parents in two months, and he missed them.

His mother laughed, "Such a softie! It's only been two days!"

"Yeah, only two days," Zhou Yuwen said, looking at the moon, feeling nostalgic.
