“There’s nothing to even think about.” Zheng Yanyan pouted. Just now, aside from taking things all the way, she and Zhou Yuwen had practically done everything else.

Zheng Yanyan was only wearing a nightgown, and it hung loosely on her, half-falling off her elbow, exposing her fair shoulder. Her soft, pink hair cascaded down, covering her body.

Hearing Zhou Yuwen’s response made Zheng Yanyan feel a bit sad. "Oh, I’m like this, and you’re still thinking about it? So, do you just not want ? You don’t want to sleep with ?"

She was sitting on Zhou Yuwen’s lap, her petite figure bouncing slightly. She lay in his arms, like a kitten, trying to please its owner.

Zhou Yuwen wrapped one arm around her slender waist, resting the other hand behind his head. He chuckled at her words.

“Of course I want to, but I was just thinking... if we ever broke up afterward, wouldn’t that be irresponsible?” Zhou Yuwen replied.

“How could we break up? Honey, we’re going to be together forever!”

Zhou Yuwen had kept his distance from her for three days, during which Zheng Yanyan had thought of all kinds of things. Before, she had even thought about how, after graduating, she might need to go back to Beijing and maybe wouldn’t stay with Zhou Yuwen.

But over these three days, she felt like she was going insane.

It was strange; her head was filled with thoughts of Zhou Yuwen, hoping he’d ssage her on WeChat, yet dreading that he might bring up a breakup.

During those three nights, she would even dream of Zhou Yuwen. She’d see him with Su Qing, laughing and holding hands right in front of her, making her feel like an outsider.

In those dreams, she saw things from a third-person view, sotis even with her own thoughts, like “If you’re together, fine, I don’t need you.” But then, waking up, she’d realize she’d been crying.

She thought of every little mont with Zhou Yuwen—how, at her lowest point, he’d been the one to save her.

When the instructor brought them in front of the teacher, who joked about them being a couple…

Late at night, she’d look through the photos of them together, like the video they’d taken that night under the moonlight when they officially beca a couple. The more she watched, the more it made her want to cry.

At that mont, it felt like it didn’t matter if Zhou Yuwen went to Beijing. The city didn’t seem so enticing, and if it ca down to it, she could just stay in Jinling with him.

Lu Lin was right: she’d been acting stubborn, refusing to give herself to Zhou Yuwen. How could he have expectations for her when she wouldn’t et him halfway?

All of this tonight was sothing she had prepared herself for.

But what she hadn’t expected was that, at the last mont, Zhou Yuwen would stop.

Reaching out, she grabbed his lips, tugging at them playfully. “So, you don’t want to be with ? Hm? Don’t you want to be with your adorable wife forever? Hm?”

Kneeling in front of him, Zheng Yanyan looked especially cute.

Zhou Yuwen chuckled, “Of course I want to be with you.”

“But honestly, Yanyan, I thought a lot about things over these three days. I can tell that you’re a good girl and that you really care about your purity, right?”

“You’re a city girl, and I’m just a guy from a small town, getting by in Jinling with a modest family background. Are you sure you want to give yourself to ?”

Zhou Yuwen held her face in his hands, looking at her seriously.

Hearing his question, Zheng Yanyan’s gaze flickered. He continued, “While we haven’t taken that step, there’s still a way out. But once we do, there’s no going back.”

“This ti apart, I had a lot to think about.”

“You co from a well-off family in Beijing. If you wanted to, there’d be a whole line of guys chasing after you, treating you like a queen. I just got lucky enough to date you.”

“But you know what I’m like. You want

to coax you, cater to your every whim? That’s not going to happen. If we argue again like this, not that I’m expecting us to break up, but it’s a reality we’d have to face. Can you be sure you won’t regret it?”

Listening to him, Zheng Yanyan felt her nose sting. The fact that he was saying so much showed he had been seriously considering their relationship.

So, for three days, they had both been thinking of each other but were unwilling to say it out loud.

“If you like

so much, then why can’t you be a little nicer?” Zheng Yanyan whimpered, snuggling back into his arms.

“Hmph, bad guy,” she said, half-teasing, half-pouting.

She knew very well the kind of person Zhou Yuwen was.

If he pampered her endlessly, she wouldn’t even like him. But sotis, he was so stubborn she couldn’t help but wish he’d give in, just this once.

“Do you know how sad I was? If you had co to the girls’ dorm to apologize and hugged

right there, I’d have forgiven you instantly!” Zheng Yanyan said.

“How would I know what you’re thinking? If you didn’t like

anymore, then I’d be humiliating myself! Ever heard the term ‘simp’? If I went that far, wouldn’t everyone just think I was your simp?”

“You’re not a simp at all!” Zheng Yanyan instantly protested, snuggling closer. “I’m the simp! I’m your little Beijing simp, hmph. Your little simp wants a kiss.”

She climbed onto his lap, rubbing her face against his cheek.

“Hubby, hubby, look, your little simp is wagging her tail for you, hehe.” She found it fun to act like this.

Seeing her sprawled out in front of him, Zhou Yuwen couldn’t help but laugh and teased, “My pink-haired little simp!”

“What did you say!” Zheng Yanyan huffed, annoyed. “Here I am trying to make you happy, and that’s how you thank ?”

Zhou Yuwen, smiling, pulled her into his arms and kissed her cheek. “Alright, I was joking. You’re no simp; you’re my beloved little wife.”

He hugged her tightly, and the two of them lay down together on the bed.

“Why the ‘little wife’?” she asked, puzzled.

“Because you’re young, doesn’t ‘little wife’ sound cute?”

“Hmph, that sounds terrible. I’m your wife, plain and simple!”

“Alright, wife it is. Good girl.”
