The ga had a three-minute countdown to start.

In his dorm room, Chang Hao found himself distracted. Zhou Yuwen ntioning that Zheng Yanyan was showering had left an impact, and he couldn’t shake the thought. Was sothing going to happen between them, now that she was staying over at Zhou Yuwen’s place?

He tried to reassure himself, thinking Zheng Yanyan was fairly conservative. They hadn’t been dating long, so she wouldn’t be likely to take things too far.

Still, he couldn’t resist trying to get so confirmation. Casually, he asked, “Oh, by the way, Zhou, how co Yanyan’s staying over at your place?”

But no one answered through the headset.

anwhile, Zheng Yanyan, clearly feeling at ho, had kicked up her bright red, polished toes on the desk, spinning around in her chair with satisfaction. Zhou Yuwen shot her a look of annoyance, but she just smirked, going as far as to tease him with her feet, inching closer until she touched his hand.

Without missing a beat, Zhou Yuwen gave her a light smack on the top of her foot.

“Ow!” she yelped.

“What’s going on?” Chang Hao, hearing her cry out, was imdiately on edge.

“It’s nothing; soone’s just being a little brat,” Zhou Yuwen replied, maintaining his focus on the ga.

Chang Hao, in a faux-scolding tone, replied, “Hey, Zhou, don’t go around hitting people!”

Zheng Yanyan, whose foot was now a bit red, glared at Zhou Yuwen, then stood up with a mock-furious look, clearly about to make him pay for it.

Zhou Yuwen raised an eyebrow, asking, “What are you up to?”

Instead of answering, she took his headset off, then climbed right onto his lap.

“Co on, the ga’s starting,” he reminded her.

Once again, Chang Hao could hear a shuffling sound on the other end. He spoke up, “Hey, Zhou’s just joking around with you, Yanyan.”

However, since both Zhou Yuwen and Zheng Yanyan had taken their headsets off, they couldn’t hear him. Now, with her perched on his lap, Zheng Yanyan grabbed his chin playfully. “Who’s being bratty? Hmm? Who’s the brat?”

Zhou Yuwen sighed, “Co on, stop playing around—the ga’s started.”

But before he could finish, she pressed her lips against his.

It was clear she wasn’t there to ga; she just wanted to be close to him.

Zhou Yuwen sighed internally. They kissed for a while, the sound of their affection filling the silence. Having gone three days without any affection, Zheng Yanyan seed especially eager, and her kissing skills had definitely improved.

Noticing the ga’s opening, Zhou Yuwen quickly said, “Alright, alright, the ga’s started; ti to get back.”

This annoyed Zheng Yanyan to no end. Who interrupts a kiss halfway to talk about gaming?

Especially when he had his hand on her silky sleepwear and had just started feeling her skin underneath. The satin texture was soft to the touch, and, with nothing underneath, her skin felt even softer. Just when she was starting to enjoy it, he stopped.

Irritated, she demanded, “So, which is more important:

or the ga?”

“You—you’re more important. Now, get down; you’re holding up the ga.”

“No way! I won’t move.”

“Co on, if we lose because of this, we’re breaking up!” Zhou Yuwen retorted.

“Zhou Yuwen, what did you just say?”

“Alright, alright, sweetheart, please get down. They’ve already cleared our minions!”

Zhou Yuwen was exasperated. After all, she had insisted on playing, but now she was refusing to get serious. Where was her gaming spirit?

At least he was in the jungle, so even with her on his lap, it didn’t hinder him. But Zheng Yanyan, who was supposed to be playing marksman, had left her character sitting idle at the fountain. Even the assigned support was annoyed: “Is the marksman AFK?”

Chang Hao, who was handling the top lane well, defended her, saying, “Mind your own lane.”

Zhou Yuwen, still coaxing her, said, “Sweetheart, co on, they’re flaming you.”

“Fine, but only if you give

a kiss.”

He quickly gave her several pecks on her face full of youthful energy.

Finally satisfied, she sat down in her spot, three minutes behind and missing a full wave of minions, much to Zhou Yuwen’s annoyance.

Sliding on her headset, she announced confidently, “Don’t worry! I’m here to carry!”

One kill!

In the blink of an eye, she gave up a kill.

Zhou Yuwen, raising his eyebrows, shot her a look as if to say, I’ve seen noobs before, but not like this.

Even Zheng Yanyan, who was usually shaless, felt a bit embarrassed. “Just a minor misstep.”

“Play safely.”

“Relax, that was just a warm-up.”

Double kill!

She reappeared only to hand over a double kill to the enemy.

“Are you bots?” the opposing team taunted.

This ti, she turned red and whined to Zhou Yuwen, “Hubby, their farm is too high.”

“Then stay behind the turret if you can’t win,” he said in exasperation.

Chang Hao chid in, “It’s alright, two kills isn’t a big deal.”

Zhou Yuwen disagreed, “It is a big deal—two kills? Yanyan, how did you even get into college?”

After his mild scolding, Zheng Yanyan pouted and sulked. She tried to farm under the turret, but the enemy kept taunting her outside, nearly taking her down each ti she tried to last-hit a minion.

Seeing her low health, the enemy tried diving her.

“Hubby! He’s diving !” she called out in a flirtatious tone.

“Don’t worry; I’m here!”

Zhou Yuwen suddenly dashed in, casting a control spell, then finishing off the enemy with his ultimate.

“Woohoo! Hubby, you’re amazing!” she cheered, clapping her hands.

Chang Hao saw the notification and dryly comnted, “Nice job.” He added with a chuckle, “If I were jungling, I could’ve done that too.”

But no one replied, as Zheng Yanyan only had eyes for Zhou Yuwen, clapping and smiling at him.

Zhou Yuwen instructed her to stay close to the turret.

“Don’t die again.”

“Okay, okay! Hubby, carry

to victory!”

Due to her poor early ga, the enemy kept trying to pick her off, so Zhou Yuwen used her as bait, reaping two kills whenever they overextended.

“Boohoo, I died, hubby…” she whined.

“It’s fine; your death was worth it—I got two kills avenging you,” he said with satisfaction.

Chang Hao, hearing their affectionate exchange, tried chiming in here and there, but it was clear they barely noticed him. Eventually, he gave up and only spoke when absolutely necessary.

In a later team fight, Chang Hao decided to show off and requested help from the marksman.

He dashed in, hoping she’d follow, only to find her character back at the jungle, leaving him to give up a kill.

The team was quick to complain.

Chang Hao, embarrassed, said, “Yanyan, why didn’t you help

out?”

Hearing no response, Zhou Yuwen replied, “She doesn’t have her mic on.”

Curious, Zheng Yanyan asked, “What’s going on?”

“Chang Hao said you didn’t back him up,” Zhou Yuwen told her.

“I couldn’t have done anything—there were three of them! He would’ve gotten

killed!” she replied.

Zhou Yuwen chuckled, “If you’d backed him up, you could’ve taken them out.”

“Yeah, right! Tell Chang Hao not to feed so much, or he’s buying us dinner if we lose!” she said, still mic-free, so Zhou Yuwen had to relay the ssage.

Zhou Yuwen raised an eyebrow, “Look at you, bossing him around, making him treat you to dinner.”

“Hehe.”

The match dragged on for thirty minutes, mainly because Zheng Yanyan kept dying, giving the enemy eight kills. Thankfully, Zhou Yuwen was unstoppable, scoring fifteen kills and carrying the ga. Even the opponents wondered why the jungle was so focused on his lane.

Despite her poor gaplay, Zheng Yanyan had ti to trade insults with the enemy, typing in chat, “That’s for killing

twice at the start! My boyfriend’s the jungler and avenged !”

One of the enemy players quickly responded, “Sweet voice! Wanna date?”

She retorted, “Buzz off!”

Exhausted but happy, they finished the ga, and Zhou Yuwen asked her to get him so water.

“Right away!”

She obediently brought him a bottle of water.

It was Zhou Yuwen’s first ti gaming with Chang Hao in this tiline. Back in their past lives, they’d been evenly matched. Now, with his reborn skills, Zhou Yuwen felt he could almost go pro if he trained seriously for six months.

In the mic, Chang Hao praised him, “Wow, Zhou, I had no idea you were this good!”

Zhou Yuwen replied modestly, “Eh, just

a little rusty.”

While he sipped his water, Zheng Yanyan gazed at him, adoringly saying, “Hubby, you’re amazing. I feel like there’s nothing you can’t do.”

“Just average.”

By now, it was 1 AM.

Chang Hao, having listened to their banter all night, finally asked, “One more?”

Zhou Yuwen considered it but then noticed water had spilled onto Zheng Yanyan’s pants, soaking through the thin fabric.

With her satin sleepwear wet, she decided she might as well skip the pants. “It’s just us here,” Zhou Yuwen remarked.

Agreeing, she slipped off the pants, revealing her smooth legs.

Hearing the commotion, Chang Hao asked, “Everything okay?”

“Yeah, Yanyan just spilled so water on herself,” Zhou Yuwen replied.

“Oh.”

Zhou Yuwen comnted, “Clumsy as always.”

But she just smiled, extending her long legs and showing off the gift he’d given her. “Look, hubby—your present!”

With a smirk, she shut off her mic and leaned in for a kiss, using her hands to guide his as she leaned close.

Chang Hao, still curious, wondered what gift Zhou Yuwen had given her, but he only heard silence.

The ga finally began again, and they went on to play another round.

This match was more challenging, and Zhou Yuwen was sweating from the intensity, but they managed to win.

Thrilled, Zheng Yanyan threw her arms around him, exclaiming, “Hubby, you’re the best!”

“If you hadn’t cost

two kills, I’d have done even better,” he joked.

She giggled, a little embarrassed.

They finished the ga, and Chang Hao happily said, “A win’s a win.”

“Another one?”

But at that point, neither Zhou Yuwen nor Zheng Yanyan was listening.

Only in her little red CK underwear, with her legs on display, Zheng Yanyan sat on his lap, looking every bit as though she was ready for what would co next.

Tonight, Zheng Yanyan was docile, and Zhou Yuwen, finally feeling a spark of interest, wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.

Feeling the shift in his mood, she didn’t resist but shyly looked away, pretending to be engrossed in his computer screen. “Wow, hubby, you scored thirteen kills!”

As his hand moved to her waist, Zhou Yuwen’s interest only grew.

Without further delay, he pulled her in for a kiss, which she returned, settling on his lap, her soft sounds filling the room.

“Zhou? Are you guys still there?”

They’d forgotten to turn off the mic.

Not wanting to let Chang Hao overhear, Zhou Yuwen quickly switched it off.

“Hello? Zhou? Why’d you turn the mic off?”

“Are we playing again?”
