The blood of the Ain flowed everywhere. The blood of these at-eaters slled like blood sausage soup. The highland weather was quite cold, but thanks to the warm blood drenching the ground, I wasn't cold. After I crushed the head of the Ain at the front with a stone, we began to hunt down and kill the Ain who were trying to scatter in all directions.

The Ain's dwelling was situated in a basin. This had its own clear strengths and weaknesses. As for its strength, the concave basin located in the middle of the mountain range was not easy to find on foot. From a distance, it was not easy to tell that what looked like a re ridge was actually a mountain embracing the Ain with a sunken barrier.

As for its weakness, the basin was shaped as if it had been struck by a bucket, aning if the entrance was blocked, escape would not be easy.

Except for the entrance we had invaded, the basin's cliffs rose up as if they were sheer precipices. Given the Ain's small numbers, it was clear they hadn't thought of moving their base elsewhere.

"Kuaaaaargh!"

"Aaaaaargh!"

These bastards seed to have surprisingly low ntal resistance. When we charged, covered in hides, they were all busy screaming their heads off and fleeing. Thinking about it from their perspective, it would have been fucking terrifying. If these lizard bastards ca at us wearing human skin, the soldiers would all run away.

I grabbed the neck of an Ain within my reach, threw it to the ground, and then smashed its head with my mace. The mace, now with a claw enchantnt, was efficiently piercing the Ain's head, making it like styrofoam poked with a finger.

As the knights' armor blocked the Ain's claws, the Ain were in a panic state. When the average knights were hit by the Ain or herded them around, the knights wielding flails and clubs coated with claws shattered the Ain's heads.

One by one, we thodically killed off the Ain. I don't know how many young these bastards spawned, but there were a trendous number of Ain in the surprisingly large basin.

"Save ! Save ee!"

"How did you bastards treat the people of the Northern Region! We have not forgotten your atrocities!"

The knights, their voices filled with emotion, struck down an Ain who was begging on the ground. When a knife was shoved into its mouth, the Ain, whose scales had been impervious to the blade, trembled and perished instantly.

"Fuck. This is going to be endless."

I muttered while smashing an Ain's head. Their numbers were certainly too great compared to the knights. I was picking out and beating to death all the Ain who seed likely to regain their senses, but still, there was no sign of their numbers decreasing. It was because the knights were taking too long to take down each Ain. I surveyed my surroundings.

If the Ain were to co to their senses like this, we could be counterattacked. It was because there was nowhere for the Ain to escape in this basin. I shouted.

"All of you, retreat!"

The knights killed only the Ain they had caught and then all stopped their movents. We were still only a few steps from the entrance. The Ain had backed away and were staring at us. Once the entrance was blocked, the bastards had nowhere to go anyway. Thanks to that, the Ain had stepped back a few paces and were watching us.

The knights, savoring the unabated excitent of battle, asked .

"Are you going to retreat just like this?"

"No. Just a mont...."

I picked one of the wounded knights and had him go back down to the village. I wrote down the supplies to be drafted under my authority and ordered him to co back with the soldiers. The Ain were cowering in a corner, trembling. There was no way to get out of this basin.

But a counterattack was not an option either. The Ain knew it too. That if we just blocked this narrow entrance and held our ground, charging in was nothing short of a crazy act.

It seed their king had died during the chaotic battle, as the Ain didn't even seem to be properly commanding each other. Had all the action-leader level personnel died? Among them, a relatively large-bodied Ain shouted.

"B-Back off! We will et your demands!"

"You'll do anything?"

"Ye-Yes! We'll do anything!"

"Then can you co out alone for a mont?"

The Ain ca forward, trembling. He shouted in a heroic voice, despite his trembling.

"E-End this tragedy with my life!"

"Wait a mont."

I had no intention of trusting these bastards. If we happily retreated, they were the kind of bastards who would move their base to another part of the mountain range and then repeat even more fucked-up guerrilla warfare. I couldn't stand by and watch that happen.

After forcing the Ain flat on the ground, I stepped on his head and watched the movents of the other Ain. The Ain could not rashly attack. I instructed the other Ain.

"Get right up against the wall."

"The wall?"

"Fuck, hurry up."

When I hurried them, the Ain pressed themselves against the wall my mace was pointing to. How much ti had passed? Thus began our strange confrontation with the hundreds of Ain pressed against the wall. I waited for the cart to co up, with my foot on the head of the prostrate Ain.

For a full day, we took turns sleeping and faced off against the Ain.

"My Lord!"

And then, in the afternoon of the next day, the long-awaited shout was heard. The Ain trembled at the knight's voice calling my na. And following behind him, various materials were being brought up. Behind them ca about 10 barrels of oil. The knight, his arm now healed as if he'd been treated by a priest in the anti, handed

a knife. It was the sa knife used to skin the Ain.

The Ain under my foot trembled in fear when I brought the knife to him. I was contemplating.

"Now I have to lure those bastards to the entrance here...."

The operation itself was a bit impromptu, so I hadn't thought about how to provoke them. I had to create a sure-fire provocation that would make those bastards charge into this entrance where we were. Should I just skin this bastard until he dies?

While I was pondering, a knight ca up beside

and said.

"I have a good idea."

He held out his hand as if asking for the knife, so I handed it over. As soon as the knight received the knife, he plunged it into the Ain's neck.

"Keuk....."

The Ain perished instantly. The Ain watching from a distance gritted their teeth and glared at us. The knight gritted his teeth and grunted as he skinned the Ain. The peeled skin was handed over to the knights and passed to the rear. Behind them, the construction of a barricade was in full swing. And along the basin's ridge, barrels of oil were being carried up to the top.

Leaving the completely skinned Ain, the knight started to build a campfire.

"Wh-What is this! What are you doing!"

The Ain shrieked in terror. The knight cut off the dead Ain's arm and impaled it on a tree branch.

"D-Didn't you hear

ask what you are doing!"

"Skewers."

Did I just hear that right? With a dazed expression, I looked back and forth between the knights and the Ain's arm impaled on the branch. The knights had a nonchalant expression at this knight's bizarre behavior. After exchanging a few words among themselves, they spoke to .

"It's delicious if you add seasoning."

"Have you tried it?"

Crazy bastards. It's not like they're Ain slaughterers, are they eating Ain because there's nothing else to eat?

"When the Adjutant was alive, we tried it once or twice when food was scarce. It was edible."

The Ain were now unable to contain their shock.

"You crazy bastard! Are you even human! How can you eat a Dragonian! You cruel bastard! You savaaaage!"

"Have a bite."

"Mmm. It lts in your mouth."

I gave a thumbs-up to the knights' skewer skills. If it's this delicious, I have to admit it's good. I wonder if Kagan Draca actually ate Nagas because they were so fucking delicious? A few of the Ain, unable to bear this outrageous behavior, finally charged.

"I'll kill youuuu!"

Clang!

Of course, the charging Ain beca lumps of at in one shot. It might be different if we fought in an open area, but as long as we blocked the valley, there was no way those bastards could charge and win. After all, they were all the real deal, ard with Ain scales and claws.

And so, behind us, the barricade that would protect our rear was being completed. I skinned another Ain corpse and started roasting the at with the knight. The knights, tired from the long fight, sat next to

and began to tear at the at together.

"Ugh.... uh.... ughhhh....!"

The Ain were trembling uncontrollably as they glared at us. Having filled my stomach moderately, I stepped forward, and the other knights began to eat the Ain at. It was more fucking delicious than I thought. A taste like a mix of chicken drumsticks and breast, perhaps? The chewy texture from the firm muscles was exceptional.

"What did this Ain do?"

I asked the remaining Ain while rummaging through the Ain corpse lying on the floor. Then, one of the remaining Ain shouted.

"He was the great historian of us Dragonians! And a warrior! Do you know what you've just done!"

"Your history is aweso."

"Uwaaaaaaah!"

The Ain charged again. This ti, all of them were charging, having lost their reason. Rage had consud their rational judgnt. They had clearly finally snapped at the sight of us blocking the entrance for a full day, eating corpses and degrading them. The provocation was very effective.

As hundreds of Ain charged, the knights regrouped their formation. They raised their shields and clashed with the Ain charging at the front. As if plugging a leaking hole, the entrance was packed tight with Ain. But blocked by us, not a single one could advance. Hundreds of Ain were charging, but the Knight Order was only facing about 5 of them.

Those who tried to jump over the Knight Order got stuck thrashing on the sturdy wooden palisades built by the soldiers and were beaten to death by the knights waiting behind.

As a bottleneck was forming at the entrance, I shouted to the soldiers holding carts at the top of the basin.

"Pour!"

At my voice, the soldiers threw the oil barrels to the ground. The Ain, struck by the black oil barrels, were either knocked out or looked up, covered in oil. They seed to be confused by the terrible sll.

"Set them on fire!"

And then torches flew towards the Ain crowded in the back. In the original work, these bastards didn't have any kind of fire resistance.

"Kuaaaaaaargh! Aaaaaargh!"

The Ain began to burn rrily. Covered from head to toe in oil, the Ain collided with each other, screaming and spreading the inferno even further. Further panicked by the fire scene that erupted behind them, the Ain charged recklessly to break through us. We slowly retreated, smashing the Ain's heads.

Go forward, and your head gets smashed. Retreat, and a fiery hell awaits. Trapped in a situation where they could do neither, the Ain died helplessly.

"Hoo...."

After smashing the head of the very last one, we searched the tents for survivors. Once we found and killed all the Ain hiding in the tents or lurking in corners, the basin finally seed clean. Besides the Ain we beat to death, there were also many Ain who had burned to death.

Interestingly, the scales were barely burned by the fire; it seed they simply died from their flesh being cooked by the heat. There were more than a few corpses that looked perfectly fine on the outside, with steam rising from their entire bodies. I skinned one, and the at was well-cooked.

"Wow. It's like it was cooked in a ceramic oven."

I cut off a suitable piece, put it in my mouth, and looked around. It was filled with the corpses of the Ain. And just like that, we annihilated all the Ain. This is really the end, right? Right?
