Chapter 231: Kathleen Has Made It!

Taking in Kathleen’s professional appearance, she asked, "Are you the secretary to one of the new executives?"

A line appeared between Kathleen’s brow.

"Sothing like that, and I’m almost running late for the eting. If you don’t mind, we will et over a cup of coffee to talk more so other ti," Kathleen said and went straight for the elevator.

"Sure," Betsy replied with an intriguing look.

The more she stared at Kathleen’s disappearing back, the more she felt she was no longer on the sa level with the rest of them.

She even looked more refined and way out of her reach, just like those big shots in the magazines.

She seed to recall the brand na of the handbag Kathleen carried just now. She was a bag freak herself and could tell that the bag alone could pay her one year salary, not to talk of the rest of her attire.

"Kathleen has made it," was the only conclusion she could arrive at.

The elevator stopped on the 10th floor and oblivious of the mysterious web her appearance today had woven in poor Betsy’s head, Kathleen headed to the boardroom where the shareholders and new executives were already gathered.

They comprised three forr directors whom she had retained from Beazell Group, the rest were newly recruited executives and of course Dr Kendrick, the head of production from KC Wyatt Pharmaceuticals, who will be in charge and also stand in for her until everything stabilizes.

Everyone turned their attention to the door that just opened and instead of a middle aged man, a gorgeous lady with a face that would have been best suitable on a runway in a high end fashion show sauntered in, exuding an air of authority and confidence.

No one dared to look down on her even though they felt she was way too young to be the person they have been waiting for.

So even thought like Betsy, that she was the secretary to the new owner since he was yet to appear.

They were professional enough to know that no one was to be underestimated when it ca to the business world.

Apart from two major stakeholders of the Beazell group, whom Kathleen had personally t with before the company was declared bankrupt, the rest had no idea who she was.

Thus when Kathleen noticed the uncertainty and skepticism in their expressions, she wasn’t surprised, rather, she maintained her composure and strode purposefully to the head of the table.

Murmurs rippled through the room and they exchanged puzzled looks when they saw her take the seat at the head of the table without scruples.

They clearly did not expect her to be the new director they were waiting for.

"Good morning, everyone," she began as her purple orbs swept over the small gathering.

"I am Dr Janice Wyatt and am honored to stand before you today as the new owner of this esteed company. My purpose here is clear: to lead, innovate, and drive this organization to unprecedented heights."

The shareholders and other executives straightened up in their seats, instinctively drawn to her commanding presence.

Her voice complented her intimidating presence, commanding the attention of everyone as it resonated through the room.

"I understand your doubts and concerns but I want to assure you that your investnts are in safe hands."

Her voice was steady, unwavering, and filled with conviction and each word she uttered carried weight, instilling a sense of confidence and determination within the room.

"As we are all aware of what led to the present state of the Beazell group, we need to watch out for such pitfalls in the future and that is why we will not tolerate any high handed behavior and attitudes that will have a negative impact on moral values."

She went on to reiterate the need to restore the trust of the people once again.

They listened with rapt attention as she outlined her strategies and plans to lead the company forward, giving so instances of her past feats and achievents with KC Wyatt Pharmaceuticals.

In all these she did not ntion her connection to the Wyatt’s family. She only introduced herself because she believed they were matured enough to handle it

"As a way of rebranding the company, we will need to change its na,"

"From now onwards the company will no longer be known as the Beazell Group but will go by the na, KC Wyatt Pharmaceuticals."

"The future of WC Wyatt Pharmaceuticals in Baltimore will be defined by relentless dedication, innovation, and unwavering commitnt to our goals."

They all nodded in agreent, captivated by Kathleen’s authoritative yet inspiring address.

Her commanding voice echoed with a sense of purpose, leaving an indelible impression on everyone present.

She gave room for questions which she accurately answered.

One of the Shareholders who has worked with Director Beazell raised his concerns over the remaining shares that a mber of the Beazell family still held.

"That share is insignificant and cannot affect anything," she dismissed.

At most she would just consider it as handing sothing over to the less privileged, but that will not go on for long though.

"At this point I will be introducing to the house my assistant in the person of Dr Kendrick Fowler."

She paused as Dr Kendrick stood to acknowledge everyone with a nod.

"He has been in charge of several branches of KC Wyatt Pharmaceuticals and has an unbroken track record of excellence and productivity."

"I want everyone to give him the maximum support and respect as you would accord . Feel free to et him for anything in my absence."

"And I am confident that with our collective efforts, we will achieve greatness," Kathleen concluded.

A pin could be heard from the silence that ensued after her speech.

Then soone among them clapped his hand in applause which was imdiately followed by several others.

Kathleen left the board room afterwards to Wyatt Corporations leaving Dr Kendrick to hold a eting with all the departntal heads.
