Chapter 205: Am I That Unreliable?

Eleanor pouted and turned her face away, with both arms crossed over each other on her chest. "I don’t want to guess. I’m still very upset with you for not keeping your promise."

"What if I tell you that I will be coming to your sports event today? Will you still remain upset with ?"

Eleanor slowly processed what her uncle just said and the next minute she scread, jumping from her seat, her eyes gleaming with joy.

"Really?"

"Yes dear. Your uncle readily agreed to co to your sports event today to cheer you on," Kathleen affird as she cast a knowing look in Jason’s direction who in turn shook his head helplessly.

Eleanor rushed over to Jason’s side and planted a kiss on his cheeks.

"You are the best uncle ever. Have I told you that you look particularly handso this morning?"

Jason grinned, not at all surprised at Eleanor’s complint. "I’ve always been handso, my dear Miss Universe. But thanks anyway."

This morning, he was wearing perfectly tailored dark pants and a well-pressed button-down shirt in a gentle green colour. Over the combination, he wore a classy blazer to give his appearance a more polished appearance.

"Isn’t it amazing to have such a stylish uncle? By the ti you show up at the school, I will proudly show you around for everyone to see." Eleanor couldn’t help but smile as she dug into her breakfast which sohow tasted extrely delicious than before.

Looking at Eleanor’s animated expression, Jason suddenly felt like a piece of ornant that was about to be taken for auctioning.

Elvis observed their interaction as he quietly ate his breakfast. They were two of a kind. He wondered why his sister was so good at flattery and his uncle so good at flaunting his good looks.

"Are you coming alone?" He vividly rembered their mom saying that Aunt Cheryl will also co.

"I’ll be coming along with Cheryl," Jason replied as he poured so juice into Eleanor’s cup who had sohow relocated to sit beside him.

"Better." Elvis relaxed after hearing that. If Aunt Cheryl is coming, they can be sure of their uncle keeping to his promise and possibly staying till the end of the event.

Jason’s eyes narrowed playfully at the little guy’s comnt. "Why do I get the feeling that you didn’t believe

when I said I’ll be coming until I ntioned coming with Cheryl?

"That’s because she will make sure you show up and will not allow you to leave before the event is over," Elvis said.

Jason felt wronged. "Am I that unreliable?"

Looking up from her food, Eleanor said, "Uncle Jason, I didn’t think so in the past but after last night, I don’t know. But I still think you are the best uncle," she added before he will change his mind and refuse to go with them again.

"Janice, what have you been teaching these two brats? How co they have such a low opinion about their wonderful uncle."

"No need to complain, just prove yourself to them and everything will be fine," Kathleen said over a bite of scrambled eggs loaded with assorted vegetables, which she had paired with a slice of whole grain toast and a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

I don’t think there is anything to prove. As far as I’m concerned I’m the best uncle ever, right, Miss Universe?"

"Absolutely, uncle. And that is why you must co to my school today so that everyone will see how aweso you are."

"I know I can always count on your support. As a matter of fact, I will be the one to drop you off in school today, "

Because her mouth was filled with food, she couldn’t talk, but at least her hands were free, so Eleanor clapped her hands together for her uncle’s thoughtfulness.

"Are you staying afterwards?" Elvis asked suspiciously. He didn’t believe his uncle will be cool with hanging around in their school till the event begins by 12.

Sure enough his uncle replied with a "no," and before receiving a disappointed look from Eleanor, he quickly added. "I have to go pick up Chery so we can co together."

Finishing her food, Kathleen wiped her mouth with a napkin and stood from her seat. "That’s good to hear. Since your aweso uncle is sending you to school today, can I be excused for the day?"

"Go on with your work mummy. I will tell you all about it when we get back," Eleanor offered.

"Just like that? Not even a "I will miss you," followed by a sad expression?" Kathleen asked in an aggrieved tone. "I see, as soon as the aweso uncle shows up, mummy is no longer needed."

"It’s not like that mummy, of course we would have loved you to be there and we will definitely miss you," Elvis comforted.

Kathleen smiled and ruffled his hair as she made to leave the dining room. "I was just joking dear. I will see you when I get back."

"Bye mom, we will miss you," Eleanor said gaily, her expression completely contradicting her words.

"Bye Sis, and do take care of yourself."

Jason who had finished his breakfast earlier started scrolling on his phone for so financial news as he waited for the children to finish up,

When they were done, after getting their backpacks, they headed to school with their uncle.

Eleanor was in one of her best moods as this was the first ti their uncle was dropping them off to school since they returned to Baltimore.

She had envied Sophia on several occasions each ti she told her that it was her uncle that dropped her off at school.

Today, not only will her uncle drop her in school he will also be coming over later for the sports event.

When they passed by Hudson corporations, Jason noticed the children’s lingering look at the building.

His sister had told him that she had opened up to them about their father, at least she had revealed his na to them.
