Chapter 118: Na Your Price.

At her silence and stunned expression, Steffan knew he was right again. He was deeply impressed with himself and gave himself so accolades. ’Steffan, you are definitely a genius. Maybe I should also consider a career in the Central Intelligence Agency. I could make a great CIA agent.’

Apart from his own personal interests, if she is truly Kathleen, wouldn’t that also an she is Shawn’s wife? The woman his friend has been pining for, who had almost turned him into a ntal wreck for so many years.

It was going to be a huge ss if the woman he was in love with turned out to be his best friend’s wife.

Kathleen, who had finally recovered from her shock, and had seen the smug smile on his face earlier on was nonplussed.

’What is he so proud about? Is it not just a re discovery that he made about ? Or is there sothing else? I wasn’t hiding anyway,’ she thought.

Her only concern was the children’s relationship with Shawn being exposed before she was ready to jump that huddle.

"What if I am Kathleen?" she asked, lifting her chin, a challenging glint dancing in her purple eyes.

Steffan was once again trapped by her enchanting face and had a hard ti keeping his hands from holding her in a tight embrace and getting lost in the beauty of those bewitching eyes.

But this ti around, he wanted to make the best use of the opportunity presented to him and not waste it.

He forced himself to look away from her and was able to recover quickly.

"It is not that simple my dear."

"What do you an?" Kathleen demanded impatiently.

A mischievous grin played around Steffan’s lips which left Kathleen puzzled. He took his precious ti before releasing his next bomb which without fail exploded in Kathleen’s heart without rcy.

"Does President Hudson know you have a son for him? To be precise, two children?"

"What do you want?" Kathleen repeated but this ti, her eyes turned cold and even the sun had to reduce the intensity of its brightness around them at the mont.

"What do I want?" Steffan chuckled, now that the ball was in his court, he had to do his best to serve it accurately and skillfully to his advantage.

He struck a carefree pose while rolling his car keys in his fingers. "It all depends on you."

"Na your price." Kathleen smirked. She already knew these type of n. They love doing one thing; taking advantage of people when they were at their lowest.

They either go after your money or after your body or even both. ’But I have several ways to deal with them,’ Kathleen thought, so she was not afraid in the least.

"No," Steffan shook his forefinger, his head shaking in consonance with the movent of his finger as he instantly refused Kathleen’s suggestion.

"As you can see, I’m not a poor needy beggar. He slowly turned around, brushed off an invisible dirt from his customized suit and gestured towards his limited edition Lamborghini.

"My price is way beyond what you can afford." But I wouldn’t mind, though, if you are willing to pay the price."

"Just say it already," Kathleen snapped. ’What’s the use of flaunting your assets when it is obvious he was a kept man.’

"Be with ."

"Never," Kathleen’s rejection was spontaneous, without any form of deliberation.

Just like she had imagined, he was after her body. ’I knew nothing good was going to co out of him anyway so I am not disappointed.’

"Why?" Steffan was hurt at her outright rejection, but he pretended not to be affected and still kept his tone in a carefree manner as he asked,

"Are you rejecting

because of the father of your children?"

He stepped closer to Kathleen. "Or could it be that you are still head over heels in love with him?" taunted Steffan.

"Get lost."

Steffan lifted his head and let out a peel of laughter. "So very "Shawnlike" in language. That answers my question without doubt.

"What question?"

"You still love him," stated Steffan.

She was again reminded of the kiss she shared with Shawn, no, the kiss Shawn forced on her at the hospital and her anger flared up.

Because of that kiss she had spent most of her free ti thinking of the explanation she was going to give to Dr Sullivan when next they et and how to face them.

She had not forgotten the curious looks they had on their faces when she was being kissed by Shawn.

Worst still, she didn’t even know what Shawn might have done or said to them after she rushed out. ’Damn that son of a b**ch.’ she cursed under her breath.

Turning to the annoying man by her side, she just hissed.

"I don’t have ti for your nonsense, I can see you are jobless so early in the morning, but so of us still have sothing to do for a living."

She made to open her car but was again stopped by Steffan’s words.

"Hold on, are you sure you want Shawn to know that you have kept the identity of two precious bloodlines of the Hudsons hidden for so many years?"

Her hand on the door handle stilled. She had nearly forgotten why she stopped to listen to his nonsense in the first place.

She closed her eyes for a few seconds, breathed in, then out. "et

at Club Dynamo by 6pm today." Kathleen got into her car and pulled out of the parking lot.

Seeing that most of the cars had driven away from the parking lot, leaving enough space for her, an idea suddenly ca to her mind.

After starting her ignition, she deliberately floored the pedal, screeched her tyres in reverse and narrowly missed an inch of the man standing by with his mouth hanging agape.

As she zood off, the dust almost choked Steffan to death.
