It’s already December 31, and tomorrow will be a new year but I’m in trouble because Ace discovered my secret. ’Right, I rember it’s Night’s birthday tomorrow.’ Why did he choose to go back when it’s his birthday tomorrow? He should have spent it with his younger sister. "I don’t understand him."
I’m too tired to think of anything else. If I at least have my phone I can text Ace and talk to her on the phone. Although it’s better to talk in person to avoid misunderstandings. ’I don’t want to keep secrets from her, but I don’t know what I should do.’ It’s too hard.

Why would I sleep with Night? We don’t need to put on an act. "I’ll be sleeping here." Rika nodded and helped
clean myself before I go to sleep. I don’t have an appetite after what happened with Ace, but I still can’t find anything to use for my explanation. Should I lie, or should I just tell her the truth?

Even though the sound of people celebrating all over the neighborhood filled my ears, I didn’t have the energy to celebrate with them. The new year should be happy, but why do I feel drained? "Should I wake up the lady before the clock strikes 12?" Rika asked while drying my hair.
"No need. I’ll wake up if I can." I said. If I’m still with my parents, we’ll probably be celebrating by now. Mommy will prepare delicious food, and daddy will bring gifts even though it’s already the new year and the Christmas is over. That’s just how he is.
"I wish I can talk to them and greet them." Grandpa Kenta didn’t say anything about my parents’ situation right now, and I didn’t bother asking. I’m going to trust him that they’re safe and well.
I went to sleep despite the loud sounds outside. ’Why is everyone so noisy?’ Or am I just being a killjoy? No matter how much I tried to fall asleep, I couldn’t because of the unstoppable noise. It can be heard throughout the whole neighborhood. It’s still 6 pm. Why are they already partying as if it’s going to be the end of the world?
"Ugh," I grunted as I got up from my bed. Now what? I can’t sleep despite being tired, and I don’t have my phone. Maybe I should try playing that ga Kaoru recomnded to , but it doesn’t work on my laptop. ’I guess you need a gaming laptop for that.’ I sighed. "Please, let
sleep in peace," I muttered while covering my ears with pillows.
That’s when I heard a knock on the door. "Who is it?"
"It’s , milady." I heard Kenji’s voice which made
get up again.

"I ca to give back the lady’s phone, and also, I must tell the lady the new information we acquired."
Information? About the mafia group chasing after ? "Get in." The door opened and Kenji ca inside wearing his black suit. "First, give
my phone." Kenji gave

Kenji chuckled. "You don’t need to apologize, milady. I am nothing but an attendant. You don’t need to worry about such things." He said, but I can’t help feeling like that. I’m not used to being rude to other people, and that’s not how my parents raised .
