Chapter 81: Did that ring a bell?

"What you said last night, did you an it?"

My breath hitched as I took a careful step back, only to be pulled back against him. Hugo had his arm around my waist, blinking innocently, waiting for my answer. Did I an it? What I said last night...?

"What... what do you an last night?" I looked away while clipping my finger on his chest. "I an... which one? My mory isn’t really clear."

"Oh? It’s alright. I can just remind you." I felt him lean forward until I could feel his breathing caressing my ear. "You like my kisses that sotis you don’t want to stop. Did that ring a bell?"

I nearly choked as I heard my words co out from his mouth just like how I spoke it. Sweats broke out on my back while biting my lower lip. I could feel my blood slowly shoot up to my face.

"How about ’every ti I wrap my arms around you, you always feel secure and protected... to the point you sotis wish I don’t let you go?’ Sounds familiar?" he added as his tone lowered, resting his chin on my shoulder. "If you still don’t rember it, then how about when you agree to make pup --"

This ti, I couldn’t hold myself back anymore as I hastily stepped back to cover his lips. I pressed my lips into a thin line, almost on the verge of tears out of embarrassnt while covering his lips with both my hands.

"No — no more," ca out a weak, shaking voice. My eyes glimred as I took a deep breath, watching this devious man’s eyes squint as soon as our eyes t.

"Fine. I can rember everything clearly, alright? You don’t have to tease

anymore." His brows raised as his eyes remained squinting. I felt his lips stretch wider under my palm. He was enjoying this.

His brows rose as he blinked, averting his eyes for a second before his temple wrinkled as he smiled. Just when I wondered what just crossed his head, I withdrew my hand as if I was scalded when I felt his tongue on my palm.

"Hugh!" I yelled, but then felt my body pressed against his solid physique, filled with trained muscles.

"So?" he tilted his head with a mischievous smirk. "If you rember clearly, which one is the one you an and which one you don’t?"

I bit my lip as I lowered my head, breathing heavily at this close distance. It was not the first ti we were this close. Actually, there were countless tis we’re too close to each other. But sohow, it felt different. My heart was racing to the point it was painful, catching up to my breathing. I felt like my face would explode if more blood shoot up.

"E — everything." I breathed out while looking away, hearing my own swallow echo in my ear. "I an everything I said last night, including... the last part."

"Really?" Hugo planted his thumb on my chin, guiding it to face him squarely. "Everything?"

My eyes shook as I swallowed once again. "Everything. Happy now?"

"Well, of course." The side of his lips stretched into a playful smirk, eyes studying my flustered face. "How can I not be happy when you just admit you’re allowing

to do what I want?"

His golden eyes glinted as they drooped, lower lip falling slightly. "Do you have an idea how I cannot sleep fighting myself on not to wake you up? Rinnie, last night felt infinite. After stirring my emotions, how the hell did you think I will sit still and be an obedient dog waiting for my master to wake up to feed ?"

I frowned, studying him in silence. He was pissed, I could tell, and I understood where he was coming from. I didn’t think last night and just spoke my heart without thinking too much. My words greatly affected him more than they affected . My words, my responsibility.

"How are you going to take responsibility, Rinnie?" he inquired airily, brushing my jaw with the back of his fingers.

Silence enveloped the two of us as he held my gaze. He was right. I should take responsibility. I bit my lower lip, taking deep breaths as I mustered my courage to take responsibility.

When I let out a sharp breath, I clipped the drawstrings of his blouse with my index and thumb, pulling him down. At the sa ti, I stood on my toes, tilting my head to claim his lips with my eyes shut. His lips didn’t move for a second, so I mimicked what he would usually do and opened my mouth, slipping my tongue in between his lips.

It was a clumsy attempt, but I felt his body stiffen with this bold move.

"Mhm," he humd into my mouth and I felt his arm around my lean waist tighten, pulling

closer. With his other hand cupping my face, he finally responded in my kiss.

His body relaxed while pressing his lips against mine, tongue dancing in the sa rhythm. As we tangled in an honest kiss, not a curious one, I wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt hot. The second his lips moved and his tongue explored my mouth, sothing within

ignited.

There was this tingly sensation traveling under my skin. It was hard to put it in words, but it was a good feeling I wouldn’t usually feel.

"Hugh," I whispered when his lips parted from

and he proceeded to plant kisses on my jaw. It traveled down to the side of my neck, tickling

as I clutched his shoulder.

"Not... here..." ca out a distressed voice, making him stop as he drew his head back. His face was painted with pink, eyes glinting dangerously as he licked his lower lip.

"What do you an, not here?" he asked in his warm baritone voice, breathing heavily before the side of his lips curled into a playful smirk. "We’re just kissing, Rinnie, and no one is around."

"I know that, but..." I puffed my cheeks while gazing at him with disbelief. We’re just kissing now, but I felt like he would undress

at any second and I wouldn’t stop him. So, I didn’t want to be undressed in this place.

"But you don’t like to be undressed in this place?"

I gasped. "Can you actually read minds?!"

"No. But it’s written all over your face. Haha! So, you’re actually thinking like that, huh?" Hugo chuckled as he bent over, grinning from ear to ear. "Bad, Rinnie. I only want kisses, but it seems you’re already thinking about undressing."

"Stop it, Hugh!" I slapped his chest and huffed, looking away to hide my flustered face. "Stop teasing . How will I know what you are thinking when your actions say otherwise?"

"Haha! Kidding." Hugo held my wrist and pulled my body closer, closing the pinch-sized gap between us. "I didn’t just undress you in my head — I’m already doing what I want."

"Hugh —" the rest of my words were shoved back in my throat when Hugo sealed my lips with his, lifting

up as he walked in a direction.
