Chapter 799: Genius and Genius

"Then... why did you want to buy Float Stones?" Just as Terrance was surprised by the true nature of the Float Stone, Sabrina suddenly spoke.

"It’s for the Pokémon inside your Poké Ball, isn’t it? I sensed psychic waves from inside, just like those from Float Stone."

As Sabrina finished speaking, Terrance, astonished, touched Pupitar’s Poké Ball. She could even sense it through the Poké Ball?

What a monster...

"That’s right. My Pokémon’s breeding thod relies on the Float Stone," Terrance replied with a smile, not hiding anything. "Its weight is too heavy compared to others of its kind. Without finding a new breeding thod, it might not have been able to move properly."

"So it really is like that..." Sabrina nodded.

At the sa ti, Mr. Sam also spoke: "Sabrina, do you need that many Float Stones for training your psychic power technique? Why not give so of the extras to Terrance?"

"I just realized that using one or two is enough," Sabrina said calmly. "But if you want to take sothing from , I have a condition."

"Please, Miss Sabrina, go ahead." Terrance was delighted. There was still hope for the Float Stones after all; he’d almost given up.

"A battle. I want you to battle

with that Ralts you brought the first ti. Though, back then, it had already evolved into Kirlia, and it should have evolved again by now, right?" Sabrina said.

So she still hasn’t forgotten about Ralts...

Terrance smiled wryly inside. Back then, Sabrina wanted Ralts to follow her, but Ralts refused. Now, it seed this Psychic Queen just wanted to see how strong Ralts had beco to satisfy her curiosity.

"I accept," said Terrance. "Is it a 1vs1 battle? So as long as I win, you’ll sell

the extra Float Stones at the original price?"

"If you win, you don’t need to pay," Sabrina shook her head, then pointed to another Poké Ball at Terrance’s waist. To Terrance’s surprise, it wasn’t Pupitar’s Poké Ball, but Kirlia’s...

"In addition to that original Kirlia, let’s include this one as well. You seem to really like Ralts, you’ve managed to catch so many unique ones..." Sabrina’s beautiful eyes flashed. Sensing the psychic waves from inside that Poké Ball, she was surprised by their special nature, so she decided on a 2 vs 2 battle.

"Alright, 2 vs 2 then," Terrance nodded. "But I didn’t bring my Gallade, so I’ll need to transfer it over."

"Okay, I’ll go wait for you." Without another word, Sabrina disappeared from the room. Terrance was left a bit stunned. Mr. Sam explained, "She probably went ahead to the battlefield to prepare."

"I see..." Terrance sighed slightly. Teleport again—if only his own psychic power could reach that level...

"Heading to the Pokémon Center? I need to pick up a Pokémon too. Let’s go together," said Mr. Sam.

"Alright," Terrance nodded.

On the way to the Pokémon Center with Mr. Sam, Terrance thought of Sabrina’s purpose for collecting Float Stones and couldn’t help but ask, "Mr. Sam, does Miss Sabrina always train her psychic power like this? Using Float Stone to practice psychic power techniques. It’s really unbelievable."

After practicing the ditation thod, Terrance had gained a deep understanding of the world of psychic power, but almost all psychic users trained through ditation. To research the psychic power application inside Float Stone, which had effects completely opposite to the move Gravity. Sabrina was just too ahead of her ti. Just how strong was the current Saffron Gym Leader, really? Terrance was extrely curious.

"Haha, you’ll get used to it. She’s been like this since she was little." Mr. Sam shook his head slightly, feeling complicated inside but also extrely proud. After all, Sabrina was his own child!

"When Sabrina was young, she wasn’t born with psychic powers. I was actually very disappointed at first, but later I realized I was wrong. When she started psychic power training from scratch, she showed incredible talent! She was utterly absorbed in it! The first ti she practiced, she bent a spoon with ease, and her strength kept increasing. She could even crush a building easily. She was only five or six years old then, but her psychic power was already stronger than mine."

"Miss Sabrina really is a genius..." Terrance imdiately flattered Mr. Sam.

"Hah... she is a genius, but not in the traditional sense of the psychic world. I’ve heard there’s a little girl in Unova who’s even more terrifying. Apparently, she awakened psychic powers as strong as Sabrina’s without any training after she was born, and her powers just keep getting stronger as she ages." Mr. Sam said with emotion.

Even for an old-tir in the psychic world like him, that kind of talent was astonishing.

"You an... the new Unova Elite Four, Caitlin?" Terrance asked in surprise. He had heard of this Trainer, too. Rumor had it that Caitlin, who could now control her imnse psychic power, was the strongest Elite Four of the present day.

"Yes, Sabrina and her are opposites. Caitlin was born with trendous psychic power but didn’t have the ability to control it. Sabrina, on the other hand, is incredibly gifted in how she uses psychic power. Teleporting, moving objects with her mind, altering the potential of Psychic-type Pokémon; she could do all this easily as a child, not just using psychic powers to destroy." Mr. Sam explained. These things weren’t secrets and were already widely known in the psychic world. Even so outsiders knew, like Terrance.

"I see, I think I understand now why Miss Sabrina is so powerful..." Terrance smiled slightly. Sabrina’s exploration of psychic power truly knows no bounds. Using the Float Stone to contemplate thods of applying psychic power. This probably isn’t the first ti Sabrina had done sothing like this. With her personality, Terrance felt that she might be more likely to reach the pinnacle of psychic power compared to Unova’s natural-born psychic.

"But this child does have a flaw. She’s too reliant on her psychic power. Compared to the one from Unova, Sabrina as a Trainer isn’t outstanding," Mr. Sam shook his head. "She only wins every battle by using her psychic power techniques to strengthen her Pokémon, which is kind of a shortcut. So, Gym Leader Terrance, if you get the chance, don’t hold back. Give it your all and defeat her. Maybe then Sabrina will properly face her role as a Gym Leader, and only then can she go further."

"Of course, I’ll fight with everything I’ve got," Terrance nodded. Although he didn’t quite agree with Mr. Sam’s view that using psychic power was a shortcut, he would have to win anyway if he wanted the Float Stones.

Psychic Queen Sabrina and Caitlin, implicitly hailed as the strongest Elite Four, were both geniuses among geniuses. Terrance might not be on their level in that respect, but he had his own philosophy as a Trainer and would never give up easily.

So the outco of this 2 vs 2 battle was still uncertain.

After arriving at the Pokémon Center, Terrance spent so ti talking with Kotoko and had her transfer over Gallade who had been training alone.

Now, Gallade’s strength was no less than that of an Elite Four’s main Pokemon. Its bizarre battle style was formidable and tough to deal with. And that wasn’t even counting the ga Evolution item in Terrance’s possession. In short, besides Altaria, Gallade was Terrance’s strongest Pokémon!
