Chapter 700: Obtaining Carbink
Only after experiencing those powerless encounters did they realize just how much this companion of theirs had sacrificed for them.

Terrance turned around, and Mismagius once again constructed the Illusionary Space, pulling the Carbink leader into it.

Terrance arranged a reasonable training plan for the six Carbink.
First was their courage and ability to react and adapt in the face of danger; this was the most important quality. As wild Pokémon, if they wanted to avoid danger in the wild, this quality was absolutely essential.
The training thod was to have Mismagius apply pressure through its illusion skills.
Next was their ability to disrupt. Terrance mainly taught them Double Team, a move that could be used both for escape and in battle.
And finally, the crucial ans of showcasing their fighting ability. Terrance focused their training on three moves: Harden, Sharpen, and Gyro Ball.
He did not choose Rock-type offensive moves that all Carbink could use, but instead two status moves and one finishing move that had to be learned from scratch, Gyro Ball, an attack relying on spinning force. Mastering these four moves was their entire task for the seven days.
Harden could strengthen Carbink’s already formidable defenses.
Sharpen enhanced the sharpness of Carbink’s body, effectively raising its offensive power.
Combined, these two moves can indirectly increase the threat their bodies posed to enemies. Being hit by such a Carbink would give anyone a headache, and that’s not all. Paired with Gyro Ball, which is highly mobile and can attack, defend, and evade, Carbinks would be able to fully unleash all their advantages.
With these four moves as the core of their training, the seven days quickly passed.
Of course, during these seven days Terrance couldn’t possibly devote all his attention solely to the Carbink. He also divided his focus to continue training Larvitar, Ice Vulpix, and Ralts.
Besides Larvitar working on its foundations, Ice Vulpix learning Hail alongside Castform, and Ralts practicing Teleport with Gallade, the three little ones also frequently sparred with the Carbink, allowing both sides to accumulate battle experience.
While Terrance trained the six Carbink, the Carbink leader alone was not here. It seed to have gone off sowhere by itself for special training. Not wanting to be easily defeated by its companions, it didn’t dare slack off and didn’t waste the seven days, working hard as well.
However, training alone, it definitely couldn’t progress as fast as the six Carbink that had the triple support of Rotom Pokédex, Mismagius, and Terrance. On the day of the battle, the six Carbink took turns fighting the Carbink leader.
The result was that under the six Carbink’s Gyro Ball, no defensive barriers, no Stealth Rock; none of it had the slightest effect. In the face of absolute strength, they were shattered instantly. That overwhelming spinning force let the Carbinks again and again defeat the Carbink leader.
The outco did not surprise Terrance, but it left the Carbink deeply shocked. They hadn’t expected that after just seven days of training, they could gain such incredible strength.
“Well? Convinced now? What they’ve shown is only a fraction of their true power.” Terrance looked at the Carbink leader.
The Carbink leader, after six defeats, losing to the very companions who once needed its protection, felt utterly dejected.

The truth was right before its eyes. What Terrance said was correct. After only seven days, its companions no longer needed its protection. Each one of them now had surpassed it in strength.

At that mont, the Carbink also began to persuade it. After seven days of training, they had co to understand Terrance’s true nature. He was an exceptionally outstanding human. To be chosen by Terrance was sothing they sincerely envied their companion for. At the sa ti, they also hoped their companion could join Terrance to witness a bigger stage.
