“The Future Sight launched by Ms. Olympia was unexpectedly accurate.”
What Terrance didn’t expect was that not only was Ash here, but also the famous Professor of the Kalos region: Professor Augustine Sycamore.
This Professor, known for his research on ga Evolution in Kalos, had gained increasing fa in recent years as ga Evolution beca more widespread.
“I rarely do anything foolish, but this ti counts as one.”
Terrance, who had already fled the scene, was still shaken by the close call. Thankfully, Gallade was reliable, otherwise, if he had been discovered, his current identity would have made it nearly impossible to explain things clearly.
Because of his relationship with Jas… he completely forgot what the other person’s original profession was.
“The power of that Future Sight move…”
Sowhere in Anistar City, Terrance looked toward the Anistar Gym, his gaze deep and thoughtful.
He had heard of Gym Leader Olympia in the other tiline. Now that he had so direct contact, he realized she was far more formidable than the rumors suggested.
“Ash is probably about to challenge the Anistar Gym now…”
Terrance walked down the street again, showing no sign of what he had just done, swaggering boldly in a certain direction.
Anistar City Ecological Laboratory.
This was where Teresa’s father worked with his research team.
After arriving here, Terrance inquired at the front desk about Teresa’s father, hoping to et him, but was directly inford that he was not currently in Anistar City.
“Can you contact him?” Terrance pressed further.
The receptionist looked troubled and said, “But he really isn’t here right now. He should be back in about three days after completing so fieldwork.”
Terrance coming here to find him naturally indicated they weren’t very familiar. He didn’t even have the man’s contact information.
Under such circumstances, the assistant couldn’t just contact Teresa’s father and disturb him, and could only give Terrance a standard response.
“How about you leave your information and co back in three days?”
The assistant was already being very polite. Terrance could only nod helplessly, leave the na “Teresa,” and then take his leave.
Three days it is. No point rushing this.
“Well, three days should be enough for
to fully familiarize myself with Kalos of four years in the future.”
“This parallel world where ‘I’ don’t exist is quite interesting.”
Because his backpack was lost, Terrance had no money on him, and now he realized sothing important…
Even though he’d made it to the city, he still had to forage for Berries in the wild to stave off hunger.
“This…”
He rubbed his stomach and exchanged a look with the Rotom Pokédex floating near his shoulder, both of them showing troubled expressions.
“If only I had a Trainer identity… I could just head to the Pokémon Center’s public platform, pick up a couple of easy missions. Given my current strength, I could easily finish them and earn so money…”
“Sigh, Rotom Pokédex, is there anywhere nearby where I can eat and stay for free just by winning a battle, without needing any ID?”
“Stop daydreaming, Roto…”
Dragging himself through the streets of Anistar City like a zombie, Terrance’s face was full of distress. He hadn’t eaten for nearly a day.
Earlier, he’d been too busy to notice, but once the realization hit, his hunger only grew stronger!
“If worse cos to worst, I’ll have to head outside the city to look for Berries. Though with Gallade, dine and dash would be easy… but as a Top Coordinator, Gym Leader, International Researcher, and Senior Breeder, how could I stoop to sothing so disgraceful?”
“Uh… Team Rocket.”
Just as Terrance was about to leave the city, his eyes suddenly twitched. He had spotted two people in “disguise ” and a owth inside a fast-food restaurant.
“You three are even more brazen than I am.”
“Rotom Pokédex, let’s go. I’m going to collect my paynt.”
“Roto??”
Inside the fast food restaurant, the Team Rocket trio—Jessie, Jas, and owth—were slumped over the table in exhaustion, waiting for the food they had ordered, while still reflecting on their earlier operation.
“We were attacked, weren’t we, ow?” owth suddenly realized. Recalling it now, there were many suspicious points.
“Yeah, but why aren’t we hurt?” Jas was racking his brain.
“And what exactly was that bizarre attack that ca out of nowhere?” Jessie shuddered at the mory of those “wormholes” shooting out a wave of psychic blast. If that had hit them, the three of them would’ve been toast.
As the three fell into deep thought, one of the chairs at the small four-person table was suddenly pulled out, and soone sat down.
“That was the move Future Sight,” the newcor said in a low voice.
“You’re…”
“Who are you!!”
Seeing the brown-haired young man suddenly seated beside them, the trio was startled.
“Shh.” Terrance whispered, “Is that how you treat your savior?”
“If I hadn’t used Shadow Ball to block the attack for you, who knows where you’d have been blasted off to by now.”
At those words, Jessie, Jas, and owth’s pupils shrank. Was their identity exposed?!
But after a mont’s thought, the trio realized. This person might actually be an ally.
“Who the hell are you?!” owth glared fiercely, baring his claws under the table, ready to use his nearly useless move “Fury Swipes” at any mont.
“Since when did we of Team Rocket beco so timid and spineless?” Terrance said coldly.
We of… Team Rocket?!
Jessie, Jas, and owth were instantly dumbfounded.
“Hmph, if we didn’t co from the sa place, do you think I’d save you for no reason?”
“I saw how hard you were working and thought I’d put in a good word for you with Boss Giovanni, but now…”
The original ani series left the deepest impression on Terrance, so he figured he could bluff a little using that knowledge.
Barely holding back his laughter, Terrance watched the server place food on the table, his gaze coldly sweeping across the trio.
Jas, Jessie, and owth imdiately realized that this guy might really be the real deal! Otherwise, why would he save them? And he even knows Boss Giovanni?!
“You are…” In the next second, all three of them were beaming with smiles. Although they didn’t recognize Terrance, they could feel it. This guy had an outstanding aura. He must be soone high up in the ranks!
Otherwise, how could he possibly speak on their behalf to Boss Giovanni!
“Ahem, I’m a little hungry,” Terrance said.
“Please, eat first!” The trio imdiately pushed their food toward Terrance.
“Then I won’t be polite.” Terrance really didn’t hold back and began eating, mumbling through full cheeks, “Finally…”
“Ca to Kalos for a mission this ti…”
“Never thought… I’d et… soone from back ho.”
“I’m really touched…”
Team Rocket’s trio was also touched. Before they even realized it, Terrance had already finished all their food. But right after, his expression suddenly changed as he clutched his stomach and said, “Wait for , I need to use the restroom.”
The trio watched Terrance devour the food like a starving beast, and their hearts ached. This fellow Team Rocket mber looked like he hadn’t eaten in ages. Was he worse off than them?
Maybe we are pretty good at making money after all.
Watching Terrance walk toward the restroom, the three exchanged glances and gave themselves a little ntal pat on the back.
Ten seconds later, Terrance and Gallade appeared in a secluded alley. Rubbing his now round belly, Terrance let out a loud burp, looking utterly satisfied.
