Chapter 702: Chapter 703: Mute Beauty
"Initially, I thought you were just rubbish, unworthy to even be my dog. But seeing this, you’ve exceeded my expectations a bit. Interesting, truly interesting."
The man finished speaking with a cold sneer on his face.
In Su Changfeng’s cell, the woman he brought back lay flat on the place where Su Changfeng rested, waiting like a lamb to the slaughter.
She was very beautiful, with a great figure, but Su Changfeng brought her back not to satisfy any carnal desires.
"Have you been to those places inside Purgatory? Besides Zone B, how large is the entire area of Purgatory?" Su Changfeng asked the woman.
The woman lay on the bed without answering.
It seed impossible to pry open her mouth as expected, and Su Changfeng had foreseen this. He continued, "I understand that answering my questions could implicate you, but what would make you willing to tell ?"
The woman still did not answer, simply removing her already light clothing.
Su Changfeng glanced at her, feeling no stirrings in his heart. Towards won other than Tang Qiulu, Su Changfeng felt no desire. Even lingering for another second felt like a sin to him.
"If you’re willing to tell
sothing about Purgatory, one day I will take you out of here." Su Changfeng offered this bait, though unlikely to work, it was worth a try.
At this, the woman sat up from the bed, opened her mouth, and then shook her head.
Seeing the woman’s actions, Su Changfeng frowned imdiately. Could it be that she couldn’t speak at all?
"Can’t you talk?" Su Changfeng asked.
When the woman nodded, Su Changfeng gave a bitter smile. Purgatory was indeed ticulous; to prevent leaking information, they made her unable to speak entirely.
"Get so sleep; you’ll probably be taken away tomorrow," said Su Changfeng, lying on the floor and leaving the cell’s only bed for the woman.
She looked confused, slightly furrowing her brows, seemingly unable to understand why soone like Su Changfeng would have no interest in her.
"I have a wife whom I love dearly, so I have no interest in other won," Su Changfeng said, lying on the ground.
The woman smiled as she dressed.
The next day, before the usual outdoor activity ti, soone ca to take the woman away, and it seed Su Changfeng no longer had the right to go outside.
During the outdoor activity ti, many were discussing the last boxing match, and Su Changfeng’s image in these people’s minds had risen significantly.
However, the Pangolin believed this situation made things even more dangerous for the hooded man; he could foresee many more matches targeting him in the future, with opponents growing stronger. How long could he hold out?
"I don’t understand. Why do you care so much about soone unrelated to you? Whether he lives or dies has nothing to do with you," said Liu Chao helplessly.
Liu Chao watched Pangolin thinking about sothing. He knew Pangolin was definitely contemplating matters related to the hooded man, which puzzled him. Why expend such effort on a person who had no relation to him?
"Whether we can leave Purgatory, that person plays a crucial role," Pangolin said.
"What! How is he related to us leaving here?" Liu Chao asked softly. He cared deeply about getting out of here, as it determined what kind of life he would have in the future.
"You don’t need to know these things," Pangolin said coldly. Liu Chao’s value lay in sending out the signal, and if Purgatory discovered it, Liu Chao would surely perish. So such crucial matters didn’t need to be disclosed to Liu Chao.
"Pangolin, we’re now in the sa boat. Why shouldn’t I know these things? If you encounter any problems, I can help you think of solutions," Liu Chao said.
Pangolin looked at Liu Chao with disdain, relying on this useless person for ideas. It would be better to just be imprisoned in Purgatory for life.
As day after day passed, Pangolin continued to carve lines on his arm after each outdoor session to count the days. Ti flew by, and three months passed. During this ti, the hooded man never appeared, and rumors spread that he had been secretly executed by Purgatory.
This made Pangolin particularly worried. If the rumors were true, the problems he now faced would remain unsolved, and by the ti he naturally died, he still wouldn’t know how to leave Purgatory.
Jiang City.
On the cold, windy streets, everyone wore cotton-padded jackets, and heavy snowfall enveloped Jiang City in a sheet of silver.
Dozens of cars were parked at the gate of the Mountain Villa; leading them was Zhu Lie, waiting quietly outside the gate.
When the villa’s door opened, Tang Qiulu ca out with a smile. Dressed in a cotton-padded jacket, she appeared a bit bulky, particularly around her protruding belly.
"Brother Lie, I’m just going to the hospital for a casual check-up. Is it really necessary for so many people to accompany
every ti?" Tang Qiulu said with a face full of bemusent.
Zhu Lie looked very serious, saying, "How could this not be enough? I didn’t even call everybody. You going to the hospital for a check-up is extrely important. Before Chang Feng left, I promised I’d take good care of you. If anything goes wrong, I wouldn’t be able to face him when he returns."
When Zhu Lie first learned of Tang Qiulu’s pregnancy, he was shocked for a week. He never expected that even after Su Changfeng left, he left behind such a significant responsibility.
Su Changfeng had gone to Purgatory, and whether he could return was unknown, yet Tang Qiulu carried his child.
Perhaps if he had known about Tang Qiulu’s pregnancy, he wouldn’t have rushed into Purgatory.
"Please don’t. I’m just an ordinary person and don’t want any special treatnt," Tang Qiulu said quickly, understanding Zhu Lie’s character and knowing he would keep his promises.
"You are not just an ordinary person. Chang Feng’s wife and child are exceptional people, far from what you’d call ordinary," Zhu Lie said.
Tang Qiulu felt helpless. Knowing Zhu Lie’s persistence, she understood nothing she said would make a difference, but it also showed how much Zhu Lie valued Su Changfeng.
"Why are you all standing there? Hurry and help the sister-in-law up!" Zhu Lie said to Feng Bin.
