Chapter 697: Chapter 698: Su Changfeng Appears
"You’re quite a good assistant, but how can I make you follow my orders?" Pangolin muttered, thinking about this past tournant. Even though it was over, a fiery excitent still coursed in his heart.
He desperately needs soone to break through the current situation. Liu Chao is completely unreliable, and that guy has beco Pangolin’s hope. However, that person’s strength also makes Pangolin cautious. Soone like him likely won’t obey orders and work for Pangolin, which troubles him.
"If I say your voice sounds like a friend of mine, it might not be a good way to approach you." Pangolin chuckled bitterly, thinking this was a stupid idea. It was no better than suddenly eting a beautiful woman and saying she looks like his future wife.
Just then, the cell suddenly shook a bit, though it was very subtle, people could still notice it.
This kind of situation has happened many tis before, and Pangolin wasn’t surprised by it at all.
Small earthquakes like this happen frequently, sotis several tis a day. Because of these earthquakes, Pangolin was further convinced that Purgatory is indeed situated at the center of the Earth.
Yet he is still shocked at how they managed to create such a large space underground. So far, he hasn’t asured the true size of Purgatory.
In another cell, Su Changfeng frowned, having experienced earthquakes like this in the dark room several tis before. At first, he thought they were indeed caused by earthquakes, but when he carefully sensed the quakes, he realized they felt different from usual earthquakes. However, Su Changfeng couldn’t determine how this feeling was produced.
In a special area of Purgatory, Wilson, half-dead, was lying on the ground. In front of him, a beam of strong light shone, under which soone was the author. Due to the dazzling light, Wilson could only see the silhouette, unable to make out the person’s appearance.
But Wilson knew clearly that this person was the most powerful one in Purgatory. It was also this person who allowed him to fight Su Changfeng again after leaving the dark room.
"I’m sorry I didn’t complete the task you assigned, but this ti it was due to my negligence. Please give
another chance to redeem myself. I promise I won’t fail your orders." Wilson pleaded to the person sitting in the bright light.
"Haven’t you realized you can’t beat that guy? Even if given 10 more chances, you can’t kill him." The person said coldly. His voice was imnsely profound, definitely very deep.
These words frightened Wilson completely. Although it’s a rule in Purgatory not to kill prisoners, if he angers this person before him, his fate would only be death.
"It’s impossible. How could I lose to that guy? It’s because I underestimated him, which gave him the chance. If you give
another opportunity, I will prove my strength to you." Wilson quickly explained, knowing full well that if he loses his usefulness, his life ends here.
"I no longer need useless people like you. Soon there will be an ace to replace you. Now there’s only one way left for you..." The person paused and then continued, "Which is to die."
Wilson looked terrified and sohow found strength within himself. He quickly stood up, knelt before the person, and repeatedly kowtowed, pleading, "I beg you to spare
this ti. Give
another chance to prove myself. I will absolutely complete the task you’ve assigned."
The silhouette said nothing, rely raised his hand.
Several Purgatory staff, seeing this scene, moved toward Wilson.
In despair, Wilson helplessly closed his eyes, marking the end of his days in Purgatory.
After Wilson’s death, the figure in the intense light revealed his true appearance. His face was so exquisite it was terrifying; the word handso couldn’t describe him anymore, especially when he smiled—it resembled a wicked angel.
"Clean this place up for . The stench of this trash is intolerable." The person spoke softly; his voice had also changed, becoming more enchanting.
This person seed to have no flaws, undoubtedly a nearly perfect individual.
"I didn’t expect it. That kid indeed has so skill, which surprised
a bit. But with his current strength, he isn’t qualified to be under . For the tough battles ahead, if you can persevere, I’ll grant you an opportunity. If you get killed, then you’ll be fish food in the sea."
A period later, even when it was ti for prisoners to go out for activities, the cell door where Su Changfeng was held didn’t open. Clearly, Purgatory deliberately kept Su Changfeng locked up.
Pangolin, on the other hand, felt curious whether the masked man was still in Zone B, suddenly feeling the urge to investigate.
However, the cell door opened. If he changes his activity route recklessly and is discovered by Purgatory staff, he will be kept in the dark room for a long ti, so Pangolin could only keep this idea in his mind.
Two weeks later.
During free ti, in the dedicated space for activities, many prisoners clustered together. Many of them were here to gather information about Purgatory. They gathered and exchanged the information they had.
But this information was almost useless because these people usually stayed in Zone B, only knowing so overall structure of Zone B. As for other information about Purgatory, it was like a blank sheet of paper. This was also why Purgatory allowed these people to communicate with each other.
Because Purgatory is extrely self-confident, it never worries about these people finding useful information.
On the surface, Purgatory is a cage. However, the conditions for residing in Purgatory are unmatched by any hotel in the world, but this requirent only pertains to money.
In short, if you have money, you can bring people into Purgatory.
But getting out from inside is undoubtedly a daunting challenge.
Pangolin squatted in a corner, watching the prisoners exchanging the information they held, unable to stop laughing. This group of people was probably sent in by soone or so power, or even a country, hoping they could investigate the core information related to Purgatory.
