Chapter 132: Chapter 127 Crimson Corruption!!!
Doslepo, belonging to one of the Demon Clan Four Heavenly Kings’ battle groups.
Each of the Demon Clan Heavenly Kings possesses several battle groups, each of which is divided into smaller squads led by various generals, and Doslepo is the army leader of one of these smaller squads.
Seems like a minor role?
But in reality, this position is already supre over tens of thousands, each army leader is a candidate for general, and it is not an exaggeration to call them quasi-generals.
Just by himself, he could annihilate the city of Val, but for so reason, he chose to slowly corrupt the city with dozens of his subordinates in secrecy, using the Fallen Demon Egg to increase the number of cannon fodder, eventually turning it into the City of Flesh!
So why did he do this? What good does turning the city of Val into a spectacle do for him, other than unnecessarily provoking crusades?
All of this originated from a change within the Demon Clan; the old priest who adhered to tradition was killed, and the newly appointed priest boldly broke the traditions, bringing about a series of reforms.
It is precisely because of this reform that Doslepo had to rack his brains to build wonders in this continent.
"Got all that recorded?"
In the pool of Blood, he held a cup of liquid, slowly sipping, not knowing whether it was red wine or fresh blood, revealing ease yet emanating power.
"Yes, my lord, as per your orders, we have filled ten Image Stones," his subordinate, a bat-shaped monster nad Keje, bowed in response.
"Send soone to deliver these to the other nine army leaders, and the last one to the Priest."
Doslepo’s expression was very smug, talking to himself:
"This ti, my score will definitely surpass everyone else."
"Lord, you are definitely the pri choice for the next general," Keje flattered tily, then said, "The human alliance is almost here; subordinates have sent out Conversion Species to intercept them, but they will likely not last half an hour."
Conversion Species, a term used within the Demon Clan for those transford from humans to demons by the Fallen Demon Egg.
Just two days in the blink of an eye, two days have passed since Bed City officially deployed troops, the alliance is about to reach Val, and war is imminent.
"Good,"
Doslepo’s mouth curved into a sly and cunning smile.
There’s no need to worry about the Conversion Species dying in large numbers; they were originally human, this is essentially humans killing each other."
He looked up at the sky, strands of blood-colored silk converged towards the City of Flesh. Whether the dead were Conversion Species or humans, the city could absorb their residual flesh.
Not only the City Lord’s residence, but the entire city has turned into writhing flesh, as if sothing was incubating within.
It’s unimaginable how many innocent people had to be slaughtered to create such a City of Flesh.
The resentnts attached to the flesh seed to have transford into dark clouds in the sky, the sky today was so dark it seed to collapse, with ominous thunder rolling among the clouds.
"The growth is not bad,"
He wiped his eyes with a finger, activating farsight magic, and saw the battlefield not far away.
Thousands from the Alliance were slaughtering the Conversion Species, this Cannon fodder ant nothing to the battle-hardened adventurers.
This ordeal is certainly a certain Dungeon.
It took less than half an hour for the Alliance to clear the first wave of Conversion Species and reached the forefront of Val City.
They were all shocked by the twisted and bizarre City of Flesh before them, the fierce blood scent causing so of the less-enduring guards to start vomiting.
"Hehe," Doslepo smiled smugly.
He noticed a lavishly dressed man in the Alliance giving orders, organizing priests and magicians to launch attacks on Val City.
That must be a noble amongst the humans, worth capturing.
Doslepo thought for a mont, and at that ti, a second, more potent wave of Conversion Species burst from the ground toward the Alliance.
But the latter did not panic; as if they had anticipated this attack, they thodically resisted. Behind these infantry, catapults and other war machines were slowly advancing.
"Hehehe, planning to conduct a siege, typical human thinking,"
He withdrew his gaze, "We’ve been silent for too long. The world has forgotten the horror of the Demon Clan, it’s ti they experience it firsthand."
Keje also revealed a sinister smile, then Doslepo said to him:
"Go to the Dungeon, call all our kin, it’s ti to satisfy their thirst for blood."
"When I massacre the humans to the point of disarray, everyone will co out and let them feel despair, not letting a single one escape!"
Keje continuously applauded and flattered.
"By the way, make sure to capture my heroic stature,"
Doslepo added: "It will definitely earn points."
Outside Val City, Charon grimly stared at the City of Flesh.
Compared to a city, Val now resembled a gigantic fort, completely different in appearance from before, its existence a blasphemy to all gods.
"Sir, the siege weapons are ready," his personal guard reported.
"Do you really think a few stones will be effective against this evil entity?" Charon countered.
"Then..." the guard was at a loss for words.
"Against the Demon Clan, Holy Light is naturally the best option; just protect the priests’ group well, let the siege weapons standby."
"Yes!"
Once the guard left, Charon then turned to a rcenary beside him.
This man wore a cow-horned helt, a body robust as a bear’s and covered in strong muscles, adorned with a cape made of so unknown wild beast’s fur, looking utterly wild.
"Do you really have a way to deal with them?" Charon furrowed his eyebrows deeply, a tone full of distrust.
"Since we have chosen to cooperate, do not doubt," the rcenary’s voice was rough, resembling a beast’s growl.
"No one knows Doslepo better than ."
"..."
Charon paused for a mont, then said:
"When the Holy Light Church makes their move, you guys go ahead, try not to be too conspicuous."
The rcenary silently stared at the towering City of Flesh, showing disdainful ridicule.
The second wave of Conversion Species was clearly targeting the priests, but they were vigorously protected by everyone and failed to succeed.
At the sa ti, the priests finished chanting, gathering everyone’s strength to unleash a King Tier Holy Light Magic!
Like an angel descending, the glow gathered above Val City, and the dark clouds were instantly dispersed, just waiting to be fully ford to bring down cleansing light upon the City of Flesh!
"Boom boom boom—"
The earth suddenly began to tremble.
"Ah? Does Holy Light have this effect, why does it feel like an earthquake?"
"Have you lost your mind? How can this possibly be the effect of Holy Light, hurry the hell up and look over there!"
Everyone cried out in shock.
"Val City is standing up!"
Under everyone’s gaze, the bottom of the City of Flesh suddenly writhed out four gigantic legs, and this monstrous creature stood up with a roar, towering a hundred ters high!
This scene reminded people of a classic Warhamr joke.
You travel to a world just like the dieval era, thinking it’s ti to give the feudal nobles a little 21st-century shock. You work hard to develop productivity, leading a big group in rebellion to overthrow the decaying rule of the nobles, but when you arrive in front of the nobles’ castle—
"What do you an the Lord’s castle has stood up?"
Above the City of Flesh, Doslepo was laughing wildly.
In his eyes, the colossal beast beneath him would definitely crush the Alliance like bugs.
What was left to do was wait for Keje to lead the Demon Clan kin out from the Dungeon, allowing humanity to experience despair!
Val Underworld.
The Demon Clan utilized technology bestowed by the Priests to discover this silent Dungeon and forcefully opened the Teleportation Gate, gradually eroding Val City from this origin point.
Right now, the strongest Conversion Species and the Pure Demon Clan were on standby inside, always ready to rush out and give humanity a major Demon Clan shock.
Keje, looking like a humanoid bat, rushed into the Val Underworld full of urgency, and as soon as he entered, he shouted loudly:
"Hurry up, get ready to et your blood and glory, you bastards!"
The scattered Demon Clan loitering on the empty ground suddenly lifted their heads, showing delightful expressions.
"Why are there only a few of you?"
Keje asked puzzledly because there were only a few Demon Clan here.
The few Demon Clan looked at each other with odd expressions, wanting to say sothing but unable to speak.
Eventually, while sweating coldly, they revealed smiles as if they were covering up sothing.
Keje imdiately thought of the answer, his forehead vein throbbing
"Are these idiots still sleeping!? I’ve warned them already; today, absolutely no laziness is allowed!"
He stord into the Bronze Ruins, winding through complicated pathways until he reached a dormitory door.
The dormitory door was tightly closed, seemingly with people soundly sleeping inside.
In an inconspicuous little corner, there grew indescribably bizarre things, resembling so kind of fungi; so pale, so bright red, those with claustrophobia would surely be scared to death.
If Shattered Star General Latan were here, he certainly could recognize it—that was...
Keje, unable to suppress his anger, kicked the imnsely thick bronze door, and with a "bang," the door flew open.
The Demon Clan lying on the bed didn’t move, seemingly determined to stay in bed.
Keje took a step forward and angrily dragged down a corpulent Demon Clan!
"Still sleeping, you bastard still dare to sleep? You—"
He suddenly choked up.
This obese Demon Clan... his body was covered with bizarre, mushroom-like things; his richly nourished body was the best cradle for corruption to thrive, his expression was utterly horrified, as if he had seen sothing terrifying.
Keje was stunned for a mont before it dawned on him.
It seems like he’s sowhat dead.
"What’s going on?"
A bad premonition surged in his heart, then he pulled over several other Demon Clan, and the sa situation was found!
Is this so kind of curse or contagious disease? When did it appear inside the Dungeon?
"Cough, cough,"
Keje suddenly coughed twice, his expression turning grim.
Had he, too, been infected?
He dashed out of the door, kicked open another dormitory, but as soon as the door opened, he was sprayed in the face with a red mist!
"Ugh!"
Keje retreated repeatedly until he hit a wall, coughing frantically as if trying to expel what he had just inhaled, but it was dood to be in vain.
He could clearly feel sothing taking root inside him, sprouting, and about to bear fruit.
The creature that sprayed his face with mist was a round, seemingly unthreatening organism.
[Terrestrial Ascidian ?? Crimson Corruption Version]
That’s right, taking root and sprouting within the Bronze Ruins was the nightmare from the "Elden Ring"—Crimson Corruption!
This could be called a disease, a curse, or even considered an outer god’s blessing, but nevertheless, any creature infected by it was dood to painfully perish amidst the corruption.
This was millions of tis more lethal than being poisoned, even the mighty demigods would be tornted by the Crimson Corruption to a state worse than death, not to ntion these Demon Clan.
Keje suddenly vomited a large mouthful of fresh blood; he felt his life force rapidly decaying.
Unknown and fear occupied his mind, he saw on the way there that, unknown when, the area had beco filled with Terrestrial Ascidian, these creatures continuously spraying out Crimson Corruption toward the outside.
Run, he must run!
Keje flapped his wings and turned to run, rushing through to the latter part energetically, praying that there was none of the strange red mist there, hoping to find a cure there.
However, just as he entered the latter area, a line of text suddenly appeared in front of him.
[Be careful, don’t let them notice you]
What not to let be noticed?
Keje didn’t have ti to react, he charged deeper inside.
There, he locked eyes with a stooped figure.
The instant he saw the other, his eyes itched intensely, as if seeing a blotch of yellow fire.
The true identity of that figure was—
[Forbidden Old Man]
