"I advise you to back off obediently. Otherwise, you despicable villains will be the first ones Mr. Wang deals with when the battle ends."
Previously, so of these very Bounty Hunters had even ganged up on Wang Zhan, hoping to get the treasures from the Cat Demon Beast. If Hu Xianfeng hadn't appeared in ti, Wang Zhan might already be a corpse. So how could they have the audacity to say such things now?
The next mont, a Bounty Hunter stood up, stared at Han Junxiong, and spoke with a face full of disdain, "If Hu Lao said that, it might carry so weight. But what right do you have to say that to us? Have you forgotten you also attacked Mr. Wang?"
"Even though you're no longer a Bounty Hunter, have you forgotten what you did?"
"So don't stand there acting all high and mighty; you have no say in this."
The other Bounty Hunters all chid in agreent.
Han Junxiong's expression darkened. He clenched his fists tightly, staring at the crowd before him, and said in a low voice, "You bunch of losers, still daring to make such a racket? Do you believe I won't kill all of you right now?"
While they were prone to petty thievery, it couldn't be denied that they also provided a certain degree of help to the people of Kui City. After all, if a demonic beast attacked Kui City, they would step up to fight. Of course, this wasn't solely to protect Kui City's inhabitants; they were more interested in the treasures demonic beasts carried. But regardless, they would still end up fighting demonic beasts, wouldn't they?
Therefore, unless it was absolutely necessary, Han Junxiong had no intention of attacking these individuals. But now, with these Bounty Hunters relentlessly provoking him, Han Junxiong's patience had run out.
The Bounty Hunters, however, showed no worry on their faces; instead, there was even a hint of disdain in their eyes. They were indeed wary of Wang Zhan's and Hu Xianfeng's strength, but Han Junxiong alone wasn't enough to threaten them. Without Wang Zhan and Hu Xianfeng's help, they were confident they could crush Han Junxiong by joining forces.
A great battle was on the verge of breaking out.
Hu Xianfeng turned his head and shot them a cold glance. "All of you, shut up! Or I'll kill every last one of you right now."
Hearing this, everyone's expression changed. They quickly sat back down in their original spots, not daring to utter another word. After all, offending Hu Xianfeng would bring them no good. Even escaping would beco incredibly difficult.
Han Junxiong also fell silent. The duel between Wang Zhan and Qiu Lingdu wasn't over yet. For now, all attention had to be on Qiu Lingdu.
Hu Xianfeng also turned his head, glancing at Wang Zhan who wasn't far off. Hu Xianfeng squinted at Wang Zhan and said in a deep voice, "His strength is formidable. Wang Zhan's all-out attack didn't seem to cause him significant harm. If this drags on, Wang Zhan will surely not be his match."
Hu Xianfeng could tell at a glance that Wang Zhan was already heavily injured; his entire arm was even starting to tremble.
Standing nearby, Han Junxiong asked curiously, "Didn't Wang Zhan have the upper hand? How could he possibly not be a match for that guy?"
Hu Xianfeng shook his head, frowning. "It's not as simple as you think. Although Wang Zhan seed to have the upper hand, he clearly pushed himself to his limit in that last exchange. Qiu Lingdu, however, did not. Moreover, Wang Zhan suffered a backlash from that clash. Don't you see his arm? It's trembling so much now that it'll be difficult for him to unleash an attack of that caliber again. But Qiu Lingdu can still execute extrely powerful techniques."
"So, if they continue fighting, Wang Zhan will undoubtedly be defeated in an instant."
Hearing this, Han Junxiong's expression turned grim, and he quickly asked, "Then, do you need to help him?"
Hu Xianfeng narrowed his eyes, his gaze fixed on Wang Zhan, but he didn't answer Han Junxiong. Whether he should intervene or not depended entirely on Wang Zhan's intentions. But it seed Wang Zhan had no intention of retreating; his gaze remained locked on Qiu Lingdu in the distance.
Although Hu Xianfeng admired Wang Zhan's indomitable fighting intent, he had to admit it was putting Wang Zhan at considerable risk. After all, knowing he was no match for Qiu Lingdu, continuing to fight offered him no advantage. So, he naturally hoped Wang Zhan would quickly withdraw and let him take over.
But Wang Zhan remained immobile. And Hu Xianfeng had already promised Wang Zhan that he wouldn't interfere unless it was a matter of last resort. After all, he needed to give Wang Zhan the space to fully exert himself.
Nearby, Han Junxiong anxiously clenched his fists, his face etched with extre worry. If Hu Xianfeng wasn't joking, then Wang Zhan was indeed in grave danger. He couldn't understand why Wang Zhan hadn't retreated yet. Is he really planning to fight to the death?
anwhile, Wang Zhan remained suspended in mid-air, gazing at his right hand, his eyelids growing heavy.
Clearly, he had a firm grasp of his own condition.
In that last clash, Wang Zhan had already reached the end of his rope.
Even without Hu Xianfeng stating it outright, he had already sensed it.
His arm was now practically unresponsive; even launching a simple attack would be difficult.
Let alone contend with Qiu Lingdu?
However, during the previous exchange, Wang Zhan had opened his control panel and quickly checked it. Seeing that the System still showed no changes, a new idea ford in his mind.
He had to find a way to further stimulate the System's potential.
He squinted at Qiu Lingdu nearby and beckoned to him with a finger. Instantly, the Fire Deity Armor enveloped him, and Wang Zhan's aura surged once more. Yet, despite this, Wang Zhan's arm still trembled uncontrollably.
Clearly, no matter how he tried, he no longer possessed the strength to fight on.
But evidently, Wang Zhan wasn't going to waste any more ti.
Wang Zhan clenched his fist, glanced at Hu Xianfeng next to him, and spoke with a smile, "Don't forget what you promised . If things really get to a desperate point, rember to take action imdiately."
Hu Xianfeng nodded gravely. Although he didn't know what Wang Zhan intended to do, he chose to respect Wang Zhan's wishes.
Everyone stared at Wang Zhan, their faces filled with shock. Han Junxiong, too, watched Wang Zhan in shock, clenching his fists. "What in the world is he doing? Doesn't he know he's playing with his life?"
Wang Zhan, however, seed to ignore him. In the next instant, he sheathed his Deep Fire Blade and channeled all his remaining power into his body. Fire Light flared around the Fire Deity Armor, its defensive power clearly pushed to the maximum.
At that mont, Han Junxiong finally understood. Wang Zhan was preparing to endure Qiu Lingdu's attack head-on, using only his own body!
Realizing this, Hu Xianfeng clenched his fists, his eyes filled with profound worry. He didn't know why Wang Zhan was doing this, but it was undeniably an incredibly dangerous gamble. The slightest miscalculation could cost him his life. He knew Wang Zhan's Fire Deity Armor possessed formidable defensive capabilities and even resonated with him, but Wang Zhan was still in a perilous state.
How could he just stand by and watch Wang Zhan march to his death?
Hu Xianfeng clenched his fists so hard his knuckles turned white. He turned his face away, gritting his teeth, his eyes becoming red and moist. He looked like soone facing an unbearable, final parting.
Wang Zhan, still in mid-air, turned his head and glared at Hu Xianfeng. "Old man!" he gritted out. "Don't forget what I said! Don't get distracted! Keep your eyes on ! If I really can't take it, you intervene imdiately! Otherwise, this guy will definitely beat
to death!"
Hu Xianfeng snapped back to reality and forced a grin at Wang Zhan. "Hmph, I was worried sick about you, but you don't look worried at all, you brat! Truly infuriating."
Wang Zhan rely smiled, not saying anything more.
High in the air, Qiu Lingdu shot upwards, streaking towards Wang Zhan. Qiu Lingdu clenched his fist and slamd it ruthlessly into Wang Zhan's chest.
A red glow pulsed from the Fire Deity Armor, and an instant later, Wang Zhan felt an excruciating pain in his chest.
At that very mont, Wang Zhan opened his control panel. He clearly no longer cared about his own life.
He had to find out what was wrong with the System.
Since defeating those demonic beasts didn't raise his cultivation, then perhaps taking a direct hit from Qiu Lingdu would.
Maybe only this could reactivate the System's potential.
However, Qiu Lingdu's strength far exceeded Wang Zhan's direst expectations. Even the Fire Deity Armor emitted a faint, ominous hum.
The next second, Wang Zhan felt an irresistible force crash into him, sending him hurtling backward. His aura was also rapidly weakening.
Simultaneously, Hu Xianfeng shot into the sky, positioning himself in front of Qiu Lingdu.
"Your opponent is ."
