Chapter 64: Chapter 63 Biochemical Zombies
Di Que’s palm was bleeding as two people ambushed him from behind. He sank into despair, not expecting the enemy’s killing formation to be so tight; all nine of them had targeted him. Even though he blocked the enemies from the front and sides, he couldn’t stop the ones behind him. This killing formation is truly eerie and horrifying.
CLANG!
At that critical mont, Tian Can appeared, blocking the two attackers from behind with his large saber.
"Thanks, Ribs!" Di Que said gratefully.
But Tian Can replied, "Don’t thank
yet. Wait until you’ve made it out of here alive."
"Hahaha, I’ve always been hard to kill!" Di Que laughed.
Just as the two were preparing to counterattack, the remaining Ninjas appeared, descending on them from all directions in a decisive killing blow. The color drained from their faces.
At that mont, Black Fog rushed in and swiftly took out two of the Ninjas.
"Break!" Tian Can and Di Que shouted as they threw off their opponents.
The trio stood back-to-back. Tian Can and Di Que were clearly in bad shape, as both had sustained minor injuries. Their blood dripped onto the ground, and the sight was ghastly.
Black Fog said, "They can’t be called human anymore. To be precise, they’re killing machines, born only for slaughter! People like that are the most terrifying."
"So, what’s the plan?" Di Que asked, his voice edged with frustration. His irritation was understandable; it was impossible not to be annoyed when facing such troubleso opponents.
"See those lights?" Black Fog said. "You two hold them off. I’m going to put out the lights. In the darkness, they’re bound to reveal a weakness!"
"Alright, but be quick! I don’t think the two of us can hold out for long!" Tian Can replied.
Black Fog nodded. Just then, the Ninjas charged again, their coordination as flawless as ever.
"Kill!" Tian Can and Di Que roared, rushing forward to et them.
There were too many of them. Di Que’s stomach was slashed and Tian Can’s arm was cut. Just as the Ninjas pressed their attack with full force, the lights suddenly went out.
The Ninjas didn’t panic, but they were still caught off guard by the sudden darkness. This was when Black Fog made his move. There was a simple reason for his na: in the dark of night, his combat prowess was even more terrifying.
He moved like a phantom through the shadows, heading straight for the Ninjas. With a flash of his dagger, two of them collapsed, clutching their throats as they fell to the ground.
The remaining Ninjas swung their blades at him, but as their weapons descended, they heard the screams of their own comrades. Black Fog was simply too fast; they had struck their own n by mistake. While the last two Ninjas stood bewildered, Di Que smashed his palms onto their heads. Their skulls were instantly crushed, and the two killing machines collapsed.
When the lights flickered back on a mont later, both Tian Can and Di Que had sustained multiple injuries. Even soone as strong as Black Fog had been cut.
Their strength is terrifying, Black Fog thought. He knew that without the cover of darkness, it would have been incredibly difficult for the three of them to win. Against these nine, only Ye Fan could guarantee a victory.
Black Fog asked, "You two aren’t dead yet, are you?"
"Definitely not! You’re the one who shouldn’t go turning into a ghost," Di Que shot back.
This was, of course, just their usual banter. After finishing off their opponents, the trio quickly departed. The civilians who had been held captive were already streaming out, which ant their part of the agreent with Ye Fan was now in motion. Having dealt with nearly all the periter personnel, they swiftly retreated to another location to wait for Ye Fan, or rather, to wait for the high-level targets who were attempting to flee.
After solving the matters here, Ye Fan continued toward the factory’s basent. This factory was just a front. The upper floors were used to hold the civilians, but he believed the basent was the truly terrifying part—their secret core base.
Why is the Jintian Group detaining these civilians? Are they using them for hard labor? No, that’s clearly not it. If they wanted hard labor, there would be no need to lock them up and let them beco so emaciated. The situation is definitely not that simple.
Ye Fan arrived at the basent. In the corridor, four Ninjas rushed at him from two directions, trying to surround and kill him in the narrow space.
At that instant, Ye Fan quickly moved his ten fingers. As the four n closed in simultaneously, they suddenly scread, spewed blood, and collapsed to the ground, devoid of life.
An outsider would have been shocked, even terrified. The technique killed without a trace and was known as one of the King of Heaven’s ultimate killing moves. No one understood the principles behind it, nor where its power ca from. In fact, not even Ye Fan himself knew.
He had eliminated four n in a single move. All four possessed postnatal strength, making them world-class experts, yet they were killed in an instant. If word of this got out, no one would believe it.
After dealing with the four n, Ye Fan proceeded to the far end of the corridor. When he opened the door at the end of the hallway, he found himself in a laboratory.
Inside, several scientists were conducting research on human bodies. Yes, human bodies. Ye Fan finally understood what the civilians were being used for: they were test subjects. This experint is truly cruel.
Next to the scientists stood a team of Black-clothed Martial Artists. Seated in their midst was a man staring intently at a monitor.
A mont later, the heart on the screen stopped beating. The man said angrily, "It seems you have failed!"
"We did our best! Creating Biochemical Zombies isn’t that easy!" one of the scientists replied, shaking his head innocently.
These scientists didn’t appear to be from Hua Xia, Japan, or South Korea. They looked European.
The man said, "I don’t want excuses. I’ll give you ten more days. If I don’t see the results I want by then, you will all take your own lives!"
The scientists trembled. They were all top scientists from abroad, but they were also the ones who had been reported "missing." They had been kidnapped by the Jintian Group and imprisoned in this base to develop biochemical weapons. The scientists were distraught, as the task was simply impossible for them. However, in this dark, sunless base, perhaps death is the best escape.
The man turned to leave. He had just received a report that an unknown force was attacking the base, causing heavy losses. He was preparing to go out and deal with them himself.
However, as he turned, he saw Ye Fan.
Imdiately, the squad of Black-clothed Martial Artists went on high alert, positioning themselves in front of the man.
He asked Ye Fan, "Who are you?"
Ye Fan replied, "The man who’s here to take your life."
"Many people want
dead, but you won’t be the one to do it. The fact that you made it here proves you have so skill, but skill alone doesn’t guarantee victory!"
"At least, that’s what I think," Ye Fan said, stepping toward them one pace at a ti.
"Get him!" the man commanded.
The team of Black-clothed Martial Artists charged at Ye Fan. Their speed and strength were formidable, and they reached him in an instant. Ye Fan acted just as quickly.
He employed the King of Heaven’s ultimate kill, and in that instant, the entire squad of Black-clothed Martial Artists fell dead. His thods were eerie and unfathomable, for he had mastered this fatal strike in the blink of an eye—an accomplishnt others could not possibly achieve.
The man was clearly stunned by Ye Fan’s technique. Indeed, his power far exceeded his expectations.
Ye Fan asked, "And now?"
The man took a deep breath before saying, "You’re strong. You eliminated my personal guard in the blink of an eye. But your luck runs out here."
He pulled out a syringe filled with a green liquid and injected the contents into his bloodstream.
The next mont, his body began to convulse, and he started foaming at the mouth.
"Not good! He’s injecting the Biochemical Potion!" a scientist warned in halting Hua Xia.
Indeed, as soon as the scientist finished speaking, the man’s physique began to strengthen explosively. His clothes tore apart as his muscles bulged. He looked like a wild beast, and his very presence was suffocating.
