Chapter 460: Chapter 459: Difficult to Resolve

At the sa ti, the Mingde Saint Envoy’s aura grew more formidable. He declared from on high, "Boy, you have caused our European Church Court to suffer such heavy losses. Now, I will tear you to pieces!"

"Is that so?" Ye Fan replied coldly. He gathered his Pure Yang Divine Gang as Heather also made her move.

"Holy Light Judgnt!"

The power of the judgnt descended like an inexhaustible spring, surging toward Ye Fan with lethal intent. When his Pure Yang Divine Gang collided with it, both forces dissipated. The Mingde Saint Envoy imdiately pressed his attack.

A fist flew toward Ye Fan’s head. The blow connected, leaving him dizzy as the Mingde Saint Envoy sent him flying.

Heather summoned the Blood Demon Gate, but the Holy Light of the Church was the natural counter to the Blood Clan’s power. The gate began to weaken, and Heather was struck, sustaining even heavier injuries.

Ye Fan gasped. The envoy was too strong, overwhelmingly so. The sacrificial power of the European Church Court was far more potent than that of the Vampire Clan.

Ye Fan launched another assault, trying to kill the Mingde Saint Envoy as quickly as possible. But even with his immortal physique, he was still a step too slow and was sent flying once more.

Impossible. How can I not be his match? Although the Mingde Saint Envoy’s power is colossal and verging on the Reincarnation Realm, he has not actually reached it. Moreover, this power isn’t his own, yet he wields it with such precision. This was completely unexpected; neither Ye Fan nor Heather had anticipated it.

"Die!" the Mingde Saint Envoy commanded.

"Is that so?" A mocking smile played on Ye Fan’s lips. He had seemingly found a weakness and struck out in an instant.

"Ancestral Slaughter!"

"Power of Judgnt!"

The two forces collided, neutralizing each other. The Mingde Saint Envoy reveled in the feeling of infinite power coursing through him—a sensation one had to experience to understand. But in that mont of hubris, Ye Fan attacked again.

The Yuanhong Sword shot toward him with unstoppable montum. The Mingde Saint Envoy was shocked. He had never anticipated Ye Fan’s attack would be so fast. It completely took him by surprise. At such speed, he had no ti to launch a second attack.

He could only stretch out his right hand, attempting to block the Yuanhong Sword.

"ARGH!"

The next mont, the Mingde Saint Envoy scread as the blade pierced through his palm.

"Impossible!" The Mingde Saint Envoy stared in disbelief. With his current strength, blocking a high-grade Spiritual Artifact should have been no problem, yet his palm had been pierced.

Ye Fan retorted disdainfully, "Nothing is impossible. No matter how strong your body is, it can’t withstand my Yuanhong Sword."

He swiftly swung the Yuanhong Sword, and the Mingde Saint Envoy’s right hand exploded completely. The envoy scread, staring at Ye Fan in utter disbelief.

"How confident are you now?" Ye Fan asked.

"I want you dead!" Holy Light of the Church erupted from the Mingde Saint Envoy as he charged at Ye Fan with unimaginable speed.

Ye Fan quickly slashed out, cleaving through the envoy’s Light Power. He then thrust his sword forward, piercing the man’s body. Corroded by the supre Evil Qi of the Yuanhong Sword, the Mingde Saint Envoy grew severely weak. The power he had gained through sacrifice dissipated in an instant, and he sank weakly to his knees.

Ye Fan stood towering over him. Heather arrived at his side.

The Mingde Saint Envoy couldn’t believe it. Even by joining forces, the four Holy Envoys had failed to kill Ye Fan. Ninety percent of the credit for their defeat belonged to him. Heather had rely provided assistance. His heart felt like dead ashes. At that mont, he recalled Scarlett’s words: Ye Fan was a creator of legends and miracles.

"This is the price for making an enemy of ," Ye Fan said disdainfully. "You thought you were so clever, that you controlled everything, but you are nothing. You must bear the consequences."

"It seems I underestimated you!" the Mingde Saint Envoy retorted. "But don’t get cocky! The Pope will awaken soon, and once he does, all your efforts will have been in vain! BWAHAHAHA!" He laughed wildly.

"Do it!" Heather urged Ye Fan.

He nodded. But just as he raised his sword, a figure struggled out from the ruins. It was Scarlett. She had been imprisoned by the Mingde Saint Envoy and had only just managed to escape. She was incredibly weak. If not for the chaos of the battle, she would likely still be a captive. "Stop!" she cried out to Ye Fan.

Ye Fan looked at Scarlett. "Are you pleading for him?"

"Yes!" she nodded imdiately.

"I won’t accept it," Ye Fan stated flatly.

"Why? He was just montarily confused! I tried to persuade him, but he wouldn’t listen. He should be forgiven!" Scarlett pleaded.

Heather interjected, "It seems you don’t know what just happened. Ye Fan trusted your father unconditionally, but your father colluded with the other three Holy Envoys to ambush and kill him. Do you think we would let a tiger go, only for it to return and cause more harm?"

Scarlett was stunned. She knew her father wanted to deal with Ye Fan, but she never imagined he would go to such lengths.

The Mingde Saint Envoy, seeing his chance, cried out, "Scarlett, beg him! Beg him to spare my life!"

Scarlett was at a loss. After everything that had happened, she felt she had no right to ask Ye Fan to spare her father. Still, she gathered her courage and said, "I will bear all the bla. Please, spare him!"

"You don’t need to bear his guilt," Ye Fan said. "For what he has done, he must die."

As he spoke, the Yuanhong Sword fell, and the Mingde Saint Envoy’s head tumbled to the ground with it.

"AAAAH!" Scarlett let out a heart-wrenching scream of pure despair. Her father, the man who had always pampered her and indulged her every whim, was dead. His death was filled with bitter resentnt. The mont his head fell, Scarlett’s heart turned to ice. She never imagined Ye Fan would be so ruthless, acting without a mont’s hesitation.

Heather, however, understood completely. The Mingde Saint Envoy had to die. Ye Fan had trusted him without reservation, yet the man had tried to have him killed. Their enmity, even with Scarlett caught between them, was irreconcilable.

Scarlett glared at Ye Fan with pure hatred and said coldly, "I’m going to kill you!" She then charged at him, lost to reason.

Ye Fan struck out with a single palm, and Scarlett instantly collapsed, unconscious.

I’m sorry. It was either him or . There was no way to resolve things between us. He had to die.

He knew his actions would wound Scarlett deeply, but he had no other choice. Even if given the chance to choose again, he would do the sa.

Heather watched Ye Fan holding Scarlett, her own feelings a complicated mix. This was the reality of their relationship. Though they shared him, seeing him hold another woman in his arms still brought a pang of pain. Besides, Heather hadn’t yet matured emotionally—she was still just a girl in the pri of her youth.

She said, "The four Holy Envoys of the Holy Court are dead. The Pope and my grandfather might awaken soon. I need to head back to the Blood Clan base to prepare."

"I’ll go with you," Ye Fan told her.

But Heather shook her head. "You should take care of her first."

Looking at the unconscious Scarlett, Ye Fan felt a headache coming on. He had no idea how he could ever get her to understand. When she finally woke up, how would he even face her?
