"Only a small minority believes that Shen Zhou Martial Arts must not be trampled upon. They reason that since it has flourished for thousands of years, there must be a reason for its resilience. As they see it, if the European Church Court dares to attack the Divine Land Martial World, they will fight with everything they have."

"I’ve missed you so much," Heather said softly.
As the Progenitor Queen of the Vampire Clan, she was known for her stern expression. Perhaps it was only in Ye Fan’s presence that she revealed such a tender side.
"I’ve missed you too," Ye Fan replied.
The two of them talked for a long ti. Heather was a remarkably steady woman. It was no easy feat for her to shoulder the weight of the entire Vampire Clan alone. She hosted a banquet for Ye Fan—a private banquet for just the two of them.
"I listened to you," Heather said softly. "I don’t drink blood anymore."
Ye Fan was surprised she had actually done it, as he had only ntioned it casually back then. "That’s good," he said.
"But... why is it that every ti I see you, I have an overwhelming urge to drink your blood?" Heather confessed. "Drinking your blood would give
even greater strength. It makes
feel as if a new transformation is underway!"
Ye Fan found this amusing. It’s only natural for Heather to be interested in my blood. After all, the five elders of the Yan Clan said my blood is of the Divine Grade.
He didn’t say this out loud, however. Instead, he told Heather, "If you’d like, you can drink my blood anyti you want in the future."
Hearing this, Heather, the Vampire Empress herself, actually blushed.

This was what puzzled him the most. Knowing the European Church Court’s typical thods, war with the Vampire Clan was inevitable, and they always preferred a swift and decisive battle. For them to delay this long, there had to be sothing suspicious going on.
