Chapter 286: Chapter 285: Return to the Divine Land

As expected, after news of the events on Musashi Mountain spread, Japan’s entire martial world was in an uproar. Even Japan’s official powers were stunned. The nation’s major forces mobilized their resources to investigate who was responsible for this catastrophe—an attack that had annihilated the entire Musashi Sect, including their Emperor Level Shadow Stream Master. As a result, Japan’s various powers decided to impose a national lockdown.

anwhile, Ye Fan evaded Japan’s blockade, using his luxury yacht’s subrsible capabilities to covertly set sail for the Divine Land. Along the way, they passed the spot where he had first seen the dilapidated ancient ship. Ye Fan turned to Nangong and asked, "Don’t you want to go back and take a look?"

"Not yet," Nangong replied imdiately. "I still lack the power to challenge them. I won’t act rashly, but one day, I will reclaim what I lost and avenge that humiliation!"

His ability to be flexible didn’t an Nangong was cowardly; it was a strategy to preserve his strength. It was the sa strategy he had used against the Shadow Stream Master. Previously, he knew he was no match for his foe, so he lay in wait, biding his ti for the perfect mont to strike. Nothing felt more satisfying than that victory.

Ye Fan told him, "When you decide you’re strong enough to challenge them, I will fight by your side." That was his promise to Nangong.

"Thank you!" Nangong said gratefully.

"There’s no need for such formalities between us." Ye Fan smiled, and Nangong smiled back. After all, Nangong had helped him countless tis and even saved his life. And though Ye Fan had been the one to help him escape his confinent, Ye Fan still felt a deep sense of gratitude. For him, there was truly no need for such formalities between them.

Upon returning to the Divine Land, Heavenly King Hall began to regroup. Ye Fan knew that given the power of Japan’s various forces, they would eventually trace everything back to him. However, he wasn’t afraid. His only goal had been revenge, and he had achieved it.

A rare calm settled in, but it was tinged with an eerie feeling. He knew it wasn’t just the powers in Japan who would co looking for him. Sooner or later, the Divine Dragon, right here in the Divine Land, would not allow him to continue his rampage. Perhaps the Divine Dragon was already making moves to deal with him.

I have to be careful. He secretly searched for news of the Divine Dragon, but information about the organization was impossible to find, even for him, a forr mber. The Divine Dragon had many strongholds. He had visited the ones he knew from his past, only to find them deserted. Their sudden disappearance left him clueless as to their current location.

What he could be sure of was that as the Divine Land’s sharpest sword, the Divine Dragon had only grown stronger over ti. Ye Fan now had Heavenly King Hall at ho, King Hall abroad, and many allies, but he still didn’t believe he could contend with the Divine Dragon. That was the gap in power. An organization hailed as the Divine Land’s strongest would not be so simple. Even though he had killed the Shadow Stream Master, the pressure on Ye Fan’s heart hadn’t lessened. After all, there were far too many unknown enemies.

One day, upon hearing that Ye Fan had returned, his subordinate He Yu ca hurrying over. "Brother Fan, how have you been lately?" he greeted him.

"Busy, of course," Ye Fan teased. "Unlike you, free all day, traveling everywhere. Living the good life, huh!"

Ever since Ye Fan had helped him secure the Underground Boxing Ring in Shangjing, He Yu had dived headfirst into the business and now reeked of money. Of course, he had also beco a crucial source of funding for Heavenly King Hall’s expansion.

But He Yu quickly replied, "Brother Fan, you’re destined for great things. How could a small-tir like

possibly compare! By the way, Brother Fan, do you have any free ti in the next few days?" he asked tentatively.

"I do!" Ye Fan replied. "You’re not planning to ask

to go on a trip, are you?" This guy, he brings

both his triumphs and his troubles. Still, I can put up with it. He’s not a bad person, and he’s on my ship now, for better or worse.

"You guessed it, Brother Fan!" He Yu bead. "I’m here to invite you on a trip!"

"Where to?" Ye Fan smiled. I don’t even like to travel. As a martial artist, I have no interest in the playboy lifestyle.

"A trip to Thailand, of course," He Yu said imdiately.

Ye Fan found the suggestion odd. "Thailand? Why would we go there? No, I’m not going."

"But don’t you want to know *why* I’m inviting you?" He Yu pressed, not giving up.

"Fine," Ye Fan said. "Enlighten ."

"The Underground Boxing Ring in Thailand is about to kick off its new season, and I’ve accepted an invitation to participate in the wagers for the championship challenge. The stakes are going to be unbelievably high!" he continued excitedly. "If we can secure the title of Underground Boxing King, we’ll control more than half of Thailand’s entire underground boxing market! That’s a business worth tens of billions! So, Brother Fan... are you interested?"

Ye Fan knew that Thailand’s underground fighting market was several tis larger than the one He Yu controlled in Shangjing. The Shangjing operation netted them over two billion a year, whereas the Thai market was worth tens of billions. If they could really seize control of Thailand’s underground boxing market as He Yu claid, Ye Fan would have more than enough funds to strengthen Heavenly King Hall. He had to admit, he was tempted.

Still, he maintained a calm facade. "You know my sole focus is the Martial Arts. I have no interest in that right now."

He Yu instantly grew anxious. "Brother Fan, you have to help

with this! Brother Fan, I forgot to ntion sothing. For this bet in Thailand... I’ve already staked over half of our shares in the Shangjing boxing market! If you don’t step in, Brother Fan, we don’t stand a chance of winning!" he finished, his voice full of desperation. He knew Ye Fan might kill him for this, but at this point, he was past caring.

Hearing this, Ye Fan’s eyes went wide. He glared at He Yu. "You little bastard! All you ever do is cause trouble. I really fucking want to kill you right now!"

"Brother Fan, just help

this one last ti! I’m begging you," He Yu pleaded.

"Fine!" Ye Fan snapped. "I’ll help you one more ti, but this is the last ti!"

"Yes, yes, of course!" He Yu nodded frantically. At this point, he didn’t care about anything else. As long as Ye Fan agreed to help, nothing else mattered.

"When do we leave?" Ye Fan asked.

"Tomorrow. I’ve already arranged everything. I’ll co pick you up, Brother Fan!"

"Fine," Ye Fan nodded.

Despite having such an unreliable brother, Ye Fan had to admit He Yu had helped him out of so major jams. And so, he decided to go to Thailand.

Even though things seem calm on the surface, there are crises lurking everywhere. I have a feeling this trip will be fruitful.
