Chapter 277: Chapter 276 Extrely Bizarre
The cruise continued its voyage as Ye Fan lay on the deck sunbathing, basking in comfort. Even better, the Japanese beauty, Miyaji Aoi, was massaging his shoulders.
Suddenly, Ye Fan felt a pair of beautiful eyes gazing at a certain part of his body. "What are you staring at?" he couldn’t help but ask.
Admittedly, being stared at by a woman made him a bit uncomfortable, even though he enjoyed looking at certain parts of won himself.
With a coquettish look, Miyaji Aoi replied without any reservation, "I really want to try out my master’s size!"
PFFT!
Ye Fan was speechless. Were Japanese won this bold?
He coughed. "Ahem, that’s not sothing you can just try out whenever you want."
Seeing Miyaji Aoi about to reach out and feel for herself, Ye Fan fled imdiately, leaving her behind with a charming smile. It turned out the great King of Heaven could be shy, after all.
The luxury cruise ship was swift. After two days, they had sailed into the vast, open sea. At that point, Mo approached him and said, "Leader, we’ve left the waters of the Divine Land. Ahead of us are international waters!"
"What does that an?" Ye Fan asked.
"Leader, this is an area where no single country has jurisdiction. Because of that, there are many pirates and even sea monsters. For years, any ship that passes through here is either destroyed by pirates or vanishes without a trace."
"Are you scared?" Ye Fan asked.
"Not at all!" Mo stated firmly. "Even if there are pirates, I will show them the might of the Heavenly King Hall!"
Ye Fan nodded. "Keep moving forward. I don’t care if it’s pirates or sea monsters. If they dare block the path of the Heavenly King Hall, we’ll send them to feed the fish!"
"Yes, sir!"
The ship pressed on. In the dead of night, the luxurious yacht floated alone on the surface of the sea. Ye Fan stood on the deck, peering into a thick fog that had settled ahead. He had a feeling this fog wasn’t ordinary, but at his level of power, he feared neither pirates nor natural phenona.
Suddenly, a large ship erged from the mist. Ye Fan grabbed his binoculars and focused on it.
Could it be a mirage?
Ye Fan was stunned. The vessel before him didn’t resemble a modern industrial ship at all. It was an ancient and extrely dilapidated wooden vessel. He suspected it might be an illusion. Mirages typically occurred in deserts or on the deep sea, where reflections could easily cause people to beco disoriented.
"Leader, that ship is heading straight for us! Our steering has failed completely; we can’t evade it!"
At that mont, even Mo began to panic. He had never encountered a situation like this before.
Ye Fan remained calm. "What’s there to be afraid of? It hasn’t hit us yet, has it? Use the cannon and blast it! It might just be an illusion, a mirage!"
"Yes, sir!"
Mo imdiately gave the order. They brought out the cannon they had prepared and fired.
BANG!
The first shot missed. After firing three more, they still failed to hit the target. The whole situation was bizarre.
"What’s going on?" Ye Fan demanded. When the cannonballs were fired, not only did they hit nothing, but there wasn’t even the sound of them splashing into the water. It was as if the shells had simply vanished into thin air.
"That ship isn’t an illusion!" Mo reported quickly. "There seems to be a magnetic field or a protective barrier nearby. Our cannonballs can’t get through!"
"Then what are our options?" Ye Fan asked.
"Leader, the best solution right now is to get control of that ship’s rudder and steer it away from us!" Mo said at once.
"Alright, I’ll go check it out!"
Ye Fan leaped from the deck. Tapping his feet lightly on the water’s surface a few tis, he skimd across the sea and approached the mysterious vessel.
There really is a protective barrier!
Ye Fan was sowhat shocked. He sensed that this ancient ship was protected by an array, one that functioned like a natural magnetic field. He shouted, drew the Yuanhong Sword, and slashed at the barrier.
CRACK!
The magnetic field vibrated violently and then, in an instant, it shattered into countless pieces. Ye Fan successfully boarded the ship. He rushed to the helm and wrenched it hard, turning the ship just in ti. It scraped past his own luxury yacht in a perilous close call before the dilapidated vessel ca to a dead stop.
Walking around the deck, Ye Fan found many dried bloodstains, a clear sign that nurous people had died on board.
"Leader, are you alright?" Black Fog asked as he jumped aboard.
"I’m fine," Ye Fan replied. "This ship is incredibly strange. Soone placed a powerful array on it that’s very difficult to break. It looks like this is a ship of destruction. Any vessel it encounters ets only one fate: being smashed to pieces. I’d really like to know who could be so cruel as to destroy other people’s ships this way!"
Ye Fan was determined to find out. He had a premonition that this ancient ship’s appearance was no coincidence. Soon, several more martial artists from the Heavenly King Hall boarded.
Black Fog asked, "What should we do now?"
"Destroy it!" Ye Fan ordered imdiately. Since the ship had claid so many innocent lives, the best thing to do was to obliterate it to prevent it from harming anyone else.
"Yes, sir!"
They all leaped from the ancient ship. But just as he jumped, Ye Fan distinctly heard the sound of breathing coming from within the vessel.
"Wait!"
As Ye Fan started to rush back, the others moved to follow him.
"Stay back," Ye Fan commanded. "I’ll go check it out myself. I don’t know what other dangers are inside, and I don’t want to sacrifice any of our brothers here!"
"Yes, Leader!" The others returned to their cruise ship.
Ye Fan, however, ventured deep into the ancient vessel. A thick stench of blood hung in the air as he moved toward the faint sound of breathing.
WHOOSH!
An arrow shot down toward him. Ye Fan used his Inner Strength to shatter it, but it was imdiately followed by a volley of more arrows. He dodged them with ease; even if he hadn’t, they would have been unable to penetrate his defenses.
Continuing forward, he found his path blocked by a stone door. With a loud shout, he slashed at it with his sword, and the door instantly crumbled. He had now arrived at the central hall, which he sensed would be the most dangerous place on the ship.
Inside, a man was imprisoned. His body was bound by iron chains, and his hair was so matted and wild that it obscured his features.
Ye Fan asked, "Who are you? Why did you call
here?"
The man lifted his head. "I never thought that after all these years, another one who doesn’t fear death would arrive."
Ye Fan couldn’t guess the filthy man’s age, but he could tell he was incredibly strong, perhaps even on par with himself.
"What do you an by that?" Ye Fan asked.
"Because everyone who cos here shares the sa fate," the mud-caked man said tauntingly, his eyes flashing with a greedy green light. "They beco my food!"
