Chapter 221: Chapter 220: Inferior in a Direct Confrontation

Ye Fan said, "Why wouldn’t I dare? Your Fla Valley has harassed

ti and again. Do you really think I’m easy to bully? Today, I’ve co to Fla Valley to demand an explanation!"

"An explanation? You’re not qualified!"

He charged at Ye Fan, each move exuding an endless, domineering aura. Ye Fan surged forward to et him.

When their fists collided, the top of the tower instantly collapsed, and both n fell into the structure below. Just as Ye Fan grew alert, his opponent attacked again. They engaged in a brutal flurry of kicks and punches.

BOOM!

They traded another blow, the thunderous impact sending them both staggering back several steps. It was evident that neither was significantly stronger than the other; they were evenly matched.

"Kill!" the man roared, attacking once more.

However, at that mont, the wooden plank beneath Ye Fan’s feet suddenly shattered, and he plunged down unexpectedly. This was the third level, and it was pitch-black. In the darkness, Ye Fan was on full alert. There was nothing special about this level, save for the countless wooden stakes jutting out, all studded with horrifying iron spikes.

Then, the very thing Ye Fan dreaded ca to pass. The stakes began to move. He watched in shock as they surged toward him, intending to crush him.

Ye Fan swiftly dodged, trying to leap out of the tower, only to discover that the windows on this level were forged from solid black iron. This wasn’t a tower; it was a death trap. The stakes closed in from behind. As two of them bore down on him, Ye Fan acted. He grabbed them both and slamd them into each other.

BOOM!

The two stakes shattered, and all the others ground to a halt. Just as he thought the danger was over, a volley of countless arrows rained down from above. Ye Fan moved, pushing his speed beyond its limits as he expertly dodged the deadly projectiles.

However, just then, a powerful hand appeared and struck him squarely on the back before he could react.

"Pfft!"

Ye Fan spat out a mouthful of blood. The force behind that palm strike was no less than his own; taking such a blow was an absolute disaster. He was sent flying backward, smashing clean through one of the black iron windows.

At that mont, the middle-aged man stood triumphantly before him.

Ye Fan shouted, "I will soon avenge what you’ve done today! Fla Valley, you’d better rember this!"

He quickly turned to flee.

"Where do you think you’re going?"

The middle-aged man gave chase, but the darkness and the treacherous terrain gave Ye Fan the opening he needed to escape.

The middle-aged man was inwardly shocked. He knew Ye Fan was a formidable enemy. If he wasn’t eliminated, the sacrificial ceremony might not go as smoothly as planned.

Just then, his subordinates rushed to his side. He commanded, "Search with all your might! If you find any strangers, kill them on sight!"

"Yes, sir!"

The disciples of Fla Valley sward down the mountain, searching for Ye Fan.

Ye Fan finally reached a village at the foot of the mountain, where he couldn’t help but vomit another large mouthful of blood. Being ambushed by a master of his own level had left him with severe injuries. He knew it was his own carelessness. If he had been more cautious, his opponent would never have had the chance to attack him from the shadows.

He staggered forward and saw a light on in one of the houses. He went to the door and knocked. When it opened, he saw it was the sa elder he had t earlier that day.

"Young man, it’s you!" the elder exclaid, quickly helping Ye Fan inside.

Inside the humble, dilapidated ho, he said anxiously, "Young man, why haven’t you left? The group that broke into the small world was captured. They’ve searched the village again, and all the able-bodied n have been taken away. All that’s left are us old folks and the children who aren’t yet adults!"

Ye Fan replied, "I was ambushed by the Valley Master of Fla Valley. He wounded

badly. Once I recover, I will kill him!"

As he spoke, Ye Fan grew furious. He could accept being defeated in a fair fight, but being wounded by a cowardly ambush left him feeling indignant and unreconciled.

The elder asked in shock, "You really fought the Valley Master of Fla Valley?"

"Yes. He’s not stronger than , but he ambushed

in the Fla Tower and left

severely injured!" Ye Fan said.

The elder was terrified. He said with great apprehension, "You dared to enter the Fla Tower!"

"What secrets does it hold?" Ye Fan asked.

"It is said they are nourishing a devil inside the Fla Tower," the elder said, his voice trembling. "All of their sacrifices are ant to help that devil revive!"

Ye Fan imdiately understood. So there really is sothing wrong with the Fla Tower.

He then said, "Old sir, I must go. They’re searching for

and will be here soon. I’ll only bring you trouble if I stay."

"Young man, you’re badly injured," the elder said suddenly. "You can’t leave now. Stay here! Hide in the cellar. They won’t find you!"

"No, I can’t risk it. If they find , Fla Valley will never spare you!" Ye Fan refused, not wanting to implicate these innocent people.

"What hope do I have left?" the elder said, his voice thick with tears. "I’m all alone. I would have no regrets if I died right now! I have no burdens to leave behind!"

Just then, the light of torches and a commotion could be heard outside. The elder quickly pulled aside a pile of straw, revealing a dark cellar. "Young man, don’t co out, no matter what happens! If you truly wish to thank , then you can give

a proper burial!"

He then pulled the straw back into place, hiding the entrance completely.

Hiding in the cellar, Ye Fan heard the front door being forced open.

"Search!"

A group of n began to ransack the house, showing no regard for the old man. But they failed to find the inconspicuous cellar he had dug.

About ten minutes later, everything fell silent. Ye Fan struggled to climb out.

To think that I, the great King of Heaven, would end up in such a wretched state. It’s truly heartbreaking.

But just outside the house, a large group of villagers was surrounded by the Martial Cultivators.

Their leader spoke. "Folks, I’ll give you one last chance. Hand over the stranger, or we’ll have to take you all back for the sacrifice."

The villagers wept, protesting their innocence, but it was useless. These n were cold-blooded and cruel. The elder who had hidden Ye Fan trembled.

Getting no information, the leader of the Martial Cultivators barked, "It seems you won’t be satisfied until you’re staring at your own coffins! n, take them all away!"

"Yes, sir!"

The n moved forward, brutally whipping the villagers.

"Wait!"

A loud shout cut through the air. All eyes turned to see Ye Fan stepping out.

"Young man, you...!" the elder gasped, shocked that Ye Fan would reveal himself.

Ye Fan said, "I’m the one you’re looking for. These villagers are innocent. Let them go!"

"Let them go?" The leader laughed. "Hahaha, why would I do that? These people dared to defy the laws of Fla Valley. They deserve to die! n, take them all!" he jeered.

"Since you’re so eager to die, don’t bla

for being rciless," Ye Fan said coldly.

He moved in a flash, lunging for the leader of the Martial Cultivators.

What? He can still fight?!

The leader was stunned. He never imagined that Ye Fan would still have any strength left, let alone be so powerful. In the blink of an eye, Ye Fan was right in front of him. Before he could even react, Ye Fan’s hand clamped around his head. With a sharp twist, he tore the man’s head from his shoulders.

Everyone was horrified. The villagers scattered in panic while the remaining Martial Cultivators stared at Ye Fan, their faces pale with fear. Even in his weakened state, Ye Fan’s every move was enough to intimidate them. They surrounded him but dared not get any closer.

Just then, an imnse wave of power struck. Ye Fan dodged, but his injured body was a step too slow. He was hit by another heavy blow and sent flying backward.

At this mont, Ye Fan was at his absolute weakest.

The newcor was none other than the Sect Master of Fla Valley. He sneered, "You dare cause trouble in my Fla Valley? You’re courting death!"
