All disappeared!

The news from the Palace Guards ca a bit late, but it brought even worse news.

There were barely a dozen cultivators in the Unparalleled Tower, so it's possible they found nothing.

But Ye Hei dispatched the entire Palace Guard of White Emperor City, and not a single seed was seen?

"Sir, it's very strange. We even asked the city folks, and they have no idea about any seeds falling from the sky."

A Palace Guard stepped forward to explain.

They searched the city for the fallen seeds and mobilized the townsfolk according to Ye Hei's instructions, but everyone claid they hadn't seen any seeds fall.

It would be one thing if only a couple of people said so, but for the entire city's populace to say the sa, that's a big problem.

They dared not make a decision on their own and rushed back to report.

After exchanging glances, a few of them frowned, as Han Yu turned to the others. He knew he had indeed seen the seeds, and he went alone to chase the Ox, so the others should be the ones aware of the rest.

Ling Wuce wore a grim face. At the ti, the Blood Crow exploded, scattering seeds everywhere. They managed to intercept so, while the rest fell into the city before they could stop them, right before their eyes.

And now the seeds have disappeared?

"Everyone, make another round trip, and tell the townsfolk to stay indoors for now."

Ye Hei looked troubled. Things cannot simply vanish into thin air. Moreover, the Ox released those things so flamboyantly; it couldn't rely be for scaring people.

This batch of seeds is definitely a hidden danger!

If they are not cleared in advance, who knows what might happen then.

A few days ago, Han Yu encountered a mass of strange Thorny Vines. Those darn things could take root upon touching the ground, grow back when cut, and were immune to water and fire. If it weren't for Han Yu using Divine Power Fire at the last minute, it would've been exceedingly troubleso to clear.

"What's happening in White Emperor City? Why is it so eerily quiet?"

A slightly familiar voice ca from outside, and a peeking figure glanced inside the door curiously.

Bai Xiangsheng?

Han Yu was sowhat surprised. What was this guy doing here?

Seeing Han Yu also surprised the other person, thinking that this guy wasn't supposed to have been sent away kicking and screaming by Ou Mingdong? How is he back again?

Then he noticed the group of unfamiliar faces standing next to Han Yu.

"Where's Ou Mingdong?"

Bai Xiangdong looked around but didn't spot him. The Heaven-Asking Tower's bottom layer was finished, so he had been hurriedly sent by his sect.

He was planning to say hello since they'd be neighbors now.

But upon entering the city, sothing felt off, as Palace Guards moved through the city, persuading the townsfolk to leave one by one.

Shops were closing up one after another.

Han Yu sighed, briefly explaining Ou Mingdong's situation, which made Bai Xiangdong's expression turn gloomy.

Shoot! White Emperor City is in trouble again?

It's only been a short while, and the Corpse Refining Lineage is acting up again.

Am I just unlucky, always visiting when things go wrong here?

Bai Xiangdong spoke with a bitter expression, "Why is it that every ti I co, I run into such things? What's happening in the city again?"

That's a long story, and about the ti it takes to brew a cup of tea later…

Bai Xiangdong's first thought was to pack up and just return to his sect.

Let soone else deal with this ss!

He knew about the traitor issue at Langya Mountain where the senior disciple was killed, but didn't anticipate that the deeper reason was for a Dragon Blood Stone, and the traitor was actually a spy from the Corpse Refining Lineage inside the Nine Sects.

Ou Mingdong was also crippled because of a Dragon Blood Stone, with the assailants being two Transcendent Realm cultivators plus the Langya Mountain traitor.

Now it was Han Yu holding onto a Dragon Blood Stone, waiting for trouble.

All in all, it seed like a series of interconnected big troubles.

"Aren't you guys afraid of screwing this up?"

He looked at them strangely, even though he hadn't been involved in Dongling City's affair. Still, he knew that nearly forty percent of the sect brothers who went had died or were injured.

If sothing like that happened again, White Emperor City might be done for too.

Han Yu and the others were also looking somber. Initially, they just wanted to lure out the people behind the scenes, but they hadn't expected to bring out the Corpse Refining Lineage with it.

That middle-aged person might very well be the "Judge" ntioned by Qi Bai, and with the addition of the Ox, there were two Transcendent Realm figures causing chaos from the shadows. However, there were still no leads on this batch of seeds.

"However... I think I've seen those seeds you ntioned sowhere before?"

Bai Xiangdong suddenly perked up since there was sothing vaguely familiar about the seeds Han Yu described.

But he couldn't rember it at the mont.

"Actually, I also feel like I've seen them sowhere?"

Ling Wuce, upon hearing this, felt a similar recollection.

Slap!

Bai Xiangdong suddenly clenched his fist and pounded his palm, his expression turning suddenly enlightened as he exclaid, "Sowing Beans into Soldiers!"

"Thousand-Year Miscellaneous Discussion!"

Ling Wuce exclaid simultaneously, and after exchanging a look, they both nodded, realizing they possibly read the sa book.

The "Thousand-Year Miscellaneous Discussion" is a book that records strange tales in the Cultivator Realm over the past millennium.

Sound bizarre? Think cultivators seem gossipy like ordinary people?

So, this book is usually only read by cultivators as a pasti.

Bai Xiangdong read it out of personal interest, enjoying a wide range of books.

Ling Wuce was involved because the Spirit Realm Tower, besides the role of a Cultivator Institute, also held the responsibility of collecting various cultivation technique information.

Back then, with the mindset of "better than nothing," he also included this book, just happened to browse it for leisure, but the content is already a bit fuzzy in his mory.

"Sowing Beans into Soldiers? It doesn't seem like that!"

Han Yu was utterly confused; although he hadn't read this book, he knew the story of "sowing beans to grow soldiers," wasn't that supposed to be soldiers erging after scattering a handful of beans?

"That's the fictional tale told among mortals; the Sowing Beans into Soldiers in the miscellaneous discussion isn't a re spell."

Bai Xiangdong tried to recall the content of the book and explained slowly, Sowing Beans into Soldiers recorded a cultivation system.

According to legend a thousand years ago, a cultivator accidentally stumbled into a secret realm, thinking it to be an otherworldly paradise, but it turned out to be a hidden sect, self-contained in a domain, where the cultivators were different from the outside world, and various bizarre cultivation thods were dazzling.

There, cultivators could arrange a formation with a few stones to make land levitate, perform rituals to make the dead move again, and he was most impressed by a type of cultivator there, who could summon strange things using unusual seeds.

Simply sowing seeds could either spawn a walking forest or man-eating flowers, such a cultivation thod was unheard of.

"Why are you all looking at

like that?"

Once Bai Xiangdong finished speaking, he looked up to find everyone giving him strange looks, yet no one spoke.

"The first should be similar to the Mo Family's chanical Technique?"

Han Yu's mouth twitched; if you replace the stone arranged formation with chanisms arranged using spirit stones, it would mirror the Mo Family's chanical Technique; after all, the Mo Family a thousand years ago hadn't started using spirit stones as a dium to create new types of artifact refining.

This is just pure nonsense, is the Corpse Refining Lineage so advanced?

And the ritual to make the dead move again, is it Corpse Refining Technique?

When fighting the Ox, didn't he use Thorny Vine, which moved?

Which ans...

"Is everything recorded in this true?"

Han Yu truly felt like swearing; traces of the Corpse Refining Lineage appeared everywhere, yet even this miscellaneous talk referenced it.

"Damn!"

Bai Xiangdong, who also realized it, could naturally relate to the content, having seen it in reality: the Mo Family, the Corpse Refining, and the Ox they encountered.

This was supposed to be a story, yet it carried elents of truth.

"Are there any follow-ups?"

Han Yu urgently inquired, Bai Xiangdong frowned in contemplation, "I rember in the record, that cultivator escaped from the so-called otherworldly paradise after being discovered, told those around him, but no one believed him, and one day after it rained, he grew leaves all over and died."

The whole story seed like a casually fabricated tall tale, making it unsurprising that people in the Cultivator Realm didn't take it seriously.

"I think I know where the seeds have gone?"

Ling Wuce's face was as dark as water, no wonder no seeds could be found in the whole White Emperor City.

"Are you suggesting the seeds have all parasitized in the residents of White Emperor City?"

Ye Hei guessed partway, his expression unpleasant.

"It's raining."

Huangfu Liang, leaning against a stone pillar listening quietly, suddenly felt a coolness on his head, and when he looked up, under a clear sky, a gentle drizzle began falling.

Everyone's faces changed, and they rushed out in unison, Han Yu flew straight up to the sky.

At the faraway city gate, a small black silhouette appeared again, but this ti the Ox disappeared without waiting for Han Yu.

The continuous drizzle carried a slight chill, still slowly falling; Han Yu frowned and cast a fla that instantly burned the rain cloud away.

Upon his descent, Ling Wuce stepped forward with a heavy expression, carefully examining the rainwater in his palm.

"This isn't ordinary rainwater; these contain a tiny amount of spiritual power, the opponent must have used corresponding cultivation techniques to induce it."

Being a genuine Transcendent Realm Cultivator himself, Ling Wuce was undoubtedly accurate in such judgnts.

Pa-ta! Pa-ta!

First ca a series of noises from the outer courtyard, then wails began to echo.

Upon rushing out, they found over ten Palace Guards with twisted expressions, writhing on the ground.

"It hurts! It hurts so much!"

"It's so itchy! It itches to death!"

"Soone's biting my back; help !"

Among the group, so cried out in pain, so yelled about itchiness, and others kept scratching their backs.

"They just got drenched by the rain."

Ye Hei astutely noticed that none of the fallen were dry, indicating they did not avoid the gentle drizzle.

"Quick, check their backs."

Without warning, Han Yu spoke, already stepping forward to grab one and ripping off his upper garnt, his expression shifting imdiately.

On the originally smooth back of a Palace Guard, there now grew a palm-sized tumor, which throbbed and gradually unfolded, forming a pattern resembling a sunflower.

Soon, a distorted, eerie face began to surface at the heart of the flower.

"What the hell is this monstrosity?"

Elsewhere, several other individuals tore open the Palace Guards' clothing, startling them.

Every single Palace Guard bore the sa grotesque growth on their backs.

"The pain is excruciating, sir, please save !"

One Palace Guard clambered unsteadily to his feet, suddenly lunging towards a few of them.

Upon getting close, he abruptly opened his mouth, and Han Yu, being the nearest, was almost bitten on the shoulder by the cultivator.

"Mmph..."

But his bite seed feeble, as though biting into a steel block, losing a few teeth in the process.

Han Yu swiftly chopped him unconscious, looking out to see the still writhing, pain-stricken Palace Guards simultaneously attacking Ye Hei and the others...
