Chapter 19: The second Tenant

Selina’s voice rang out.

At this mont, she no longer paid attention to the corpses lying on the floor. Her legs trembling, she walked toward Rover’s room.

Chisaki and Nanoe were both startled and turned their eyes toward Selina.

She ca to stand in front of them. When she saw Chisaki’s delicate and adorable face, she suddenly felt a twinge of anxiety in her heart.

After all, compared to her current state, Chisaki’s appearance was clearly better at a glance.

"I... can I beco your [Tenant]?" Selina’s voice trembled slightly, but she still forced herself to speak.

Hearing that, Nanoe was overjoyed. She had not expected Selina to make a decision so quickly.

Chisaki was stunned when she heard Selina’s words. Her teeth clenched tightly, and for so unknown reason, an uncomfortable feeling rose in her heart.

She pressed her lips together, wanting to say sothing, but in the end she held back. She let out a soft sigh, then lowered her head and left, leaving behind only a single word of thanks.

Seeing Chisaki’s back as she walked away, Selina asked in a panic, "She..."

"Hahaha..." Nanoe said with a laugh, "She only ca to borrow so food. Of course, I will only help her once. Whether she survives after this has nothing to do with ."

"You are different, Selina. You have a second chance. Let

talk to Rover."

Happily, Nanoe went back into the room. A mont later, she ca out with Rover and said with a smile, "Rover, this is Selina. Please take her in. I guarantee that once she has bathed and eaten properly, her looks will be no worse than mine, maybe even a bit better."

Rover glanced at Selina, his eyes openly filled with scrutiny.

Selina did not feel embarrassed. She tried to smooth out her hair with her hands, straightened her back, and displayed her curves so Rover could see her more clearly.

After all, she was a model. She faced countless kinds of gazes every day, including greedy and lustful ones. That was why she did not reject Rover’s gaze. On the contrary, she even felt a faint sense of anticipation.

Rover looked at Selina and said softly, "Have you really decided? Once you decide, there is no turning back."

Selina pressed her lips together. She hesitated for one second, then imdiately said, "I have decided. I... I want to follow you."

Rover sent a Tenant invitation to Selina, and she accepted it right away.

[Congratulations, you have obtained your second [Tenant]: Selina.]

[Na: Selina]

[Role: Tenant - 2705]

[Appearance: 68 (87)]

[Affection: 80%]

[Yield: 72 Omni Points. Note: Omni Points will be provided after having sex. Only effective once per day.]

In that instant, Selina felt a strange connection form between herself and Rover. That bond made her realize she truly had no way back. She had completely beco his slave.

Rover was about to say sothing more when another notification window suddenly appeared in front of him.

[Because Room Owner 2401 has beco your Tenant, you now possess ownership of Room 2401. You may sell, gift, or trade it as you wish.]

Right after that, a key appeared in his hand.

Rover was startled and looked at the key in his palm. Next to it, another information panel appeared.

[Room 2401 Key]

[Note: If a Room Owner dies because of monsters during events, the key will disappear and no one can take over that room. However, if a Room Owner is killed by another Survivor, that person will obtain the key to the dead person’s room.]

After reading the information, Rover thought to himself that this was probably the System’s restriction to prevent Survivors from freely occupying the rooms of the dead.

This ant there would be many empty rooms, but free Survivors still would not be able to use them. They would be forced to choose between two options.

One, beco a [Tenant].

Two, kill another Room Owner and seize the rights to that room.

Rover held the key in his hand and let Selina into the room. Nanoe brought her a few light snacks, then Rover called her over to the bed.

He told her everything he had just learned, then handed Selina’s room key to Nanoe. "I believe you know how to maximize the benefits of this key."

Hearing that, Nanoe nodded and said happily, "Thank you, Rover. I definitely will not let you down."

Rover nodded and said, "I am going to take a bath."

"Heh?!" Nanoe was startled and quickly asked, "There... is water here?"

"Right." Rover smiled and said, "Random upgrade. The bathtub has been upgraded, it can provide a fixed 200 liters of water every day. However, the water in the bathtub cannot be drunk. It is not a defensive structure, but it can help us relax."

"I will leave the water for you after I am done. You and Selina should take a bath too. Ah, the sink and the toilet can be used now as well. But we cannot waste water."

Nanoe’s mouth fell open, her eyes filled with disbelief as she looked at Rover. Although she had started out as a free Survivor, she was very smart and knew that in a world where people were beating each other to death over a single bottle of water, being able to bathe or even just have a toilet to use was an unimaginable luxury.

"The bathtub was upgraded after I slept with you. The toilet and sink were upgraded just now, after Selina agreed to beco my [Tenant]."

With that, he did not care whether Nanoe believed him or not and went straight into the bathroom.

Watching Rover’s back, Nanoe thought to herself, ’So before this, I actually doubted that he said all that just to gather more won. Looks like... I misunderstood him.’

’Besides, so what if he gathers more won? The fact that Selina and I can eat our fill, have a bathroom to use and live safely here already makes us far happier than those people still struggling to survive out there.’

Nanoe was not a child. She was an adult who understood very clearly how terrifying the outside world was, and she knew that the reason she and Selina could live safely and comfortably like this was all because of him.

Rover was the first pillar holding up this safe roof. In her heart, Nanoe beca even more determined to help him gather more won.

If Rover’s upgrade ability was random, then that ant the more won he had, the more things he could upgrade, and the safer this room would beco.

Nanoe knew very well that this ga seed to have no end. If this was truly an infinite ga, then the monsters that appeared later would definitely be countless tis more terrifying than zombies.

The reinforced steel door might be able to stop zombies now, but what about other monsters?

Nanoe gripped the key tightly in her hand, her gaze shifting from the bathroom door to Selina, who was calmly eating canned at, then she imdiately opened the chat window and began to make full use of her abilities.

In the bathroom, Rover enjoyed the relaxation the bathtub brought. Of course, he did not soak in it, he only used the shower.

After all, he was a man. He had never had the habit of soaking in a bath before, and that did not change now.

After washing up, Rover received 25 Omni Points, 20 from the bathtub and 5 from the sink. His total Omni Points had now risen to 96.5.

Rover ca out, feeling extrely refreshed, but noticing there was no towel, he decided to leave his hair wet and go to sleep, finishing the remaining 2 hours he still owed.

Seeing that, Nanoe hurriedly used an expensive suit jacket to help him dry his body.

Rover pulled Nanoe into his arms, lowered his head and moved in to kiss her lips.

Nanoe said shyly, "Selina is still here..."

"She is mine now anyway. We will be sleeping together in the future, there is no need to be shy." Rover said with a laugh.

Then he lowered his head and pressed his lips against Nanoe’s. The two kissed, completely ignoring Selina, who was sitting in the corner eating. Their kiss grew wild, accompanied by soft moans and wet, sticky sounds.

Selina trembled, her eyes drifting toward Nanoe and Rover as they kissed, and an indescribable sense of anticipation rose in her heart.
