Chapter 109: Chapter 100: Sneak Attacking Yao Ning
"I never thought this fishing thod would work so well!"
Nie Yun smiled as he looked at the two corpses on the ground.
He was, of course, the one who had placed the gold on the ground. He had swindled 810 gold bars from Li Fu and had barely spent any of it. He never imagined it would co in so handy now!

"Hmph. Trying to keep it all for yourselves? Just wait, I’ll force you to hand over those gold bars soon enough!"
He assud his three subordinates hadn’t returned because they were planning to pocket the gold bars for themselves.
He grunted and continued toward the gold bars up ahead. He had only taken a few steps when a sudden premonition sent a shiver down his spine. He whirled around just in ti to see a radiant axe-light whistle through the air, tearing through space as it chopped down at him!
"Hmph!"
His pupils contracted. King Ning tapped his feet and shot backward as his body twisted into a ferocious, terrifying form. He had begun his Demonization!
His Demonization was different from the others they had seen. His entire body was covered in green scales, and his head resembled that of a beast. It was as if he had transford into a Demon Beast in an instant!
"Beastification?"
A cry of surprise ca from behind the axe-light at the sight of his transformation.
"You’re knowledgeable, but your strength is pathetic! How dare you ambush ? Today, you die!"
Hearing the cry of surprise, a sinister grin spread across King Ning’s hideous face. He stopped his retreat and t the descending axe-light with his scale-covered right hand.
Beastification was a form of Demonization. Once a Demon activated it, their body would beco like that of a Demon Beast—covered in scales and possessing astonishing Defense!
This ability was similar to a human’s Dantian Attribute. It was impossible to master without innate talent and was thus quite rare. To think they would run into soone who had it here!
"My death day? I think you an *your* death day!"
King Ning’s laughter had barely faded when a cold shout erupted from behind him. Simultaneously, a massive Palm Seal ca crashing down.
The Palm Seal didn’t cover a large area, but it carried the undeniable might of the Qi Sect. It was obvious at a glance that the attacker was a Qi Sect level expert!

With no attempt at defense, he t both attacks head-on, his right hand shooting toward the axe-light while his left t the Palm Seal.
"Useless? What about ?"
Suddenly, a massive shield ca hurtling in from the side with a great WHOOSH!
The shield was pure gold, its surface shimring with flowing light. It radiated a grand and righteous aura of majestic authority.
"The Divine Wind Golden Shield? Spike, erge!"
A grave expression finally appeared on King Ning’s face. A sharp spike suddenly jutted from his forehead. It looked just like the horn of a Demon Beast—jet-black and incredibly hard.
The three ambushers were, of course, Nie Yun and his companions. Upon spotting King Ning, Nie Yun and Nie Xiaotian had used the Fiery Fla Axe and the Ultimate Venerable Great Compassion Hand to draw his attention. The true killing blow was City Lord Luoo Zhanhao’s Divine Wind Golden Shield, saved for last!
The Divine Wind Golden Shield was a high-grade weapon of a Marquis Clan, a treasure bestowed upon City Lords by the Divine Wind Empire. Much like an Official Seal, it carried the authority of the Divine Wind Imperial Family. Its presence was overwhelming even before it struck, exuding a terrifying and irresistible power.
