Chapter 67: Chapter 67: A Change of Plans

Fang Yun didn’t know exactly where the Cyan Spirit Flowers were grown.

Since he didn’t know, he’d have to ask around.

He knew one thing for sure: the Cyan Spirit Flowers would be growing in the area with Tier One Middle Grade Spirit Fields.

Many of the disciples tending the Spirit dicine here were Inner Sect Disciples at the Qi Refining Seventh Layer.

"Excuse , Senior Brother." Fang Yun flagged down an Inner Sect Disciple.

"Oh, it’s Junior Brother Fang! What can I do for you?"

Over the past month, his influence within the sect had risen by another percentage point, now at 15%.

For a cultivator at the Qi Refining Sixth Layer who wasn’t even an Inner Sect Disciple, reaching this level of influence was impressive. Moreover, most of that influence ca from his reputation.

By now, most disciples in the sect knew of him, and many could recognize him on sight.

"Senior Brother, I’d like to know where the Spirit Field area for the Cyan Spirit Flowers is," Fang Yun asked, getting straight to the point.

"The Cyan Spirit Flower fields? I can take you there, Junior Brother," the senior brother offered warmly.

"There’s no need to trouble you, Senior Brother. Just pointing

in the right direction will be enough."

Fang Yun valued his own ti, and he assud others valued theirs just as much.

Leading him there would take up a fair bit of ti.

Upon hearing this, the Inner Sect Disciple quickly gave Fang Yun directions.

After thanking him and learning his na, Fang Yun hurried toward the area.

This was a perk of having a good reputation. Many disciples who knew of him were quite friendly, clearly hoping to build a connection.

From a distance, Fang Yun saw the Spirit Field area where the Cyan Spirit Flowers were grown.

He picked up his pace again.

With his experience, he could tell just by looking at the plants roughly when they would be ready for harvest.

Before long, Fang Yun found seven mu of Tier One Middle Grade Spirit Fields where the Cyan Spirit Flowers would be ready for harvest in about a month.

On these seven Spirit Fields, an Inner Sect Disciple was tending to the Cyan Spirit Flowers.

Before Fang Yun could even say hello, the Inner Sect Disciple looked up, saw him, and stopped tending to the Cyan Spirit Flowers.

"Well, if it isn’t Junior Brother Fang Yun."

"That’s ," Fang Yun nodded. "May I have your na, Senior Brother?"

"My na is Che Junfei."

"Ah, Senior Brother Che."

"Junior Brother Fang, you must be here for the Cyan Spirit Flowers."

Looking at Fang Yun standing on the path above, Che Junfei had no trouble guessing his reason for being there.

Although he hadn’t actively sought out information on Fang Yun, he’d picked up quite a bit from conversations with other disciples.

So of the disciples who grew Cyan Spirit Flowers here had ntioned Fang Yun buying from them when they set up stalls at the Disciple Marketplace.

Cyan Spirit Flowers are a key ingredient for Refining Cyan Jade Pills. Fang Yun has great Alchemy Talent, and it seed he’d been Refining Cyan Jade Pills recently.

"That’s right, Senior Brother Che."

"These seven mu of Cyan Spirit Flowers of mine will be ready for harvest in thirty-three days. How many do you need, Junior Brother?"

Che Junfei was happy to have a buyer in advance. This would save him a lot of ti selling them at the Disciple Marketplace later on.

"Thirty plants," Fang Yun answered quickly.

’After Refining thirty more batches and getting sixty Upper Grade Cyan Jade Pills, I’ll have enough to reach the peak of the Qi Refining Sixth Layer.’

’Once I reach the Qi Refining Seventh Layer and beco an Inner Sect Disciple, my situation will change drastically. I might even be able to start taking Alchemy assignnts from Dan Cloud Peak.’

"No problem," Che Junfei replied.

After turning in enough of the harvest from his seven mu of Cyan Spirit Flowers to complete his sect assignnt, he would still have ninety-seven plants left over.

All ninety-seven of those leftover plants were of inferior grade.

Currently, a third of the Cyan Spirit Flowers he grew were inferior grade, while less than a tenth were superior grade.

Compared to the last ti he grew Cyan Spirit Flowers, this was much better.

"Junior Brother Fang, you can co pick them up in thirty-three days."

"Alright, Senior Brother."

The two chatted for a short while and reached a deal.

This was a verbal agreent.

There was no need for a deposit.

Che Junfei trusted Fang Yun not to go back on his word. After all, the junior brother’s reputation spoke for itself.

Fang Yun thought the sa. His reputation was his collateral. Even if other disciples ca along wanting to buy Cyan Spirit Flowers in bulk, Che Junfei would surely save thirty plants for him.

Instead of heading back to his residence after leaving the Spirit Fields, Fang Yun decided to make a trip to Battle Peak.

’This trip to Battle Peak isn’t just for Magical Combat practice. I should also see if I can pick up so Artifact Refining jobs.’

’I won’t be doing any Alchemy for the next month.’

’I get a lot of Talent Points from Alchemy each month. Since I’ll be doing less of that, I can make up for it with Artifact Refining. It’ll supplent my Talent Points and bring in so extra Spirit Stones—all good preparation for reaching the peak of the Qi Refining Sixth Layer.’

’Without Alchemy, I’ll have more free ti in general.’

’I can use that ti to read more books on Alchemy, Artifact Refining, and planting. I’ll expand my knowledge and earn so more Talent Points at the sa ti.’

’I can also fit in a bit more cultivation, but not too much.’

Taking an average of thirty Upper Grade Cyan Jade Pills a month—one a day—was already considered long-term, high-dosage consumption. His own regin was even more extre.

Fortunately, he was absorbing Upper Grade Cyan Jade Pills, so it wasn’t an issue. However, if he increased his current dosage too much, problems could arise.

Fang Yun had calculated all this carefully.

Reaching the peak of the Qi Refining Sixth Layer by June, then breaking through to the Qi Refining Seventh Layer, was the ideal path for him.

「At the foot of Battle Peak.」

Fang Yun had just arrived.

"Hey, Junior Brother Fang!"

Fang Yun turned at the sound of the voice. He had a good impression of this particular senior brother.

He mainly rembered him as the first person to invite him on an outside mission, though he’d had to decline due to his planting assignnt.

"Senior Brother Zhang."

"Hahaha! Junior Brother Fang, we really are fated to et," Zhang Wenyu said, beaming when he saw Fang Yun. "We t at the foot of Battle Peak last ti, too."

"That’s right." Fang Yun rembered that as well.

"You probably don’t have an opponent yet, right, Junior Brother Fang?"

"Not yet."

"How about , then?" Zhang Wenyu asked.

Lately, most of the people Fang Yun practiced Magical Combat with were Inner Sect Disciples at the Qi Refining Seventh Layer; he rarely faced opponents at the Qi Refining Sixth Layer like Zhang Wenyu.

"Of course," Fang Yun accepted.

"Haha, I knew it!" Zhang Wenyu was even more delighted to have secured another match with Fang Yun.

They made their way up Battle Peak.

In the distance, they saw a large crowd of Sect Disciples gathered around the base of a Dueling Platform.

"Junior Brother Fang, let’s go check it out, what do you say?" Zhang Wenyu’s curiosity was piqued by the sight.

"Alright."

Even though it was very far, Fang Yun could still see a familiar figure on the Dueling Platform.

He also wanted to go over and see what was happening.
