Chapter 57: Chapter 57: I Was Thinking Too Small

Fang Chenyi rolled his eyes, a little exasperated:

"Well, of course. Haven’t you heard the saying? Anyone who dares to make a move on my woman has to pay the price.

The nerve of that guy."

Seeing Fang Chenyi’s teeth-gritting expression made Bai nghan, who was next to him, burst into a fit of sweet laughter.

Her laughter was infectious, and Fang Chenyi started chuckling slyly as well:

"Hehe, I have to say, I never knew my Xiao Hanhan had such a violent side. Man, I should’ve taken a picture of you holding that brick. You looked so badass, Xiao Hanhan."

"Oh, stop it. I was just worried you’d get hurt! Who knew you were such a good fighter? Seriously, all that worry for nothing."

Laughing and talking the whole way, the Lamborghini finally drove through the gates of Century Garden. But when she noticed they weren’t heading toward her building, Bai nghan turned to Fang Chenyi in confusion and asked:

"Chenyi, where are we going?"

Fang Chenyi smiled mysteriously: "Ho, of course."

As he spoke, the car arrived at the villa section of the complex. Staring at the long row of luxury villas before them, Bai nghan froze for a mont:

"Ho? Don’t tell

you bought a villa here?"

He reached out and gently booped her on the nose:

"Bingo. You got it right."

She pouted resignedly. It was then that Bai nghan understood why Fang Chenyi had bought so much bedding earlier:

"You’re really quite the big spender... I heard the cheapest villas here cost nearly thirty million. So, let

guess. A tycoon like you must have bought the most expensive one, Villa Number One, right?"

Hearing this, Fang Chenyi just smiled and shook his head.

"Not Number One? That can’t be. A big spender like you would definitely buy the most expensive one. Then... is it Villa Number Two? No, no, that’s impossible. Er, let

guess... you didn’t buy two of them, did you?"

Seeing Fang Chenyi shake his head, Bai nghan’s extraordinary mind kicked into high gear. With just a mont of analysis, based on his headshake and the sly look in his eyes, she arrived at her answer. By her calculations, this had to be the closest possibility.

Sure enough, as soon as the words left her mouth, Fang Chenyi was visibly stunned. He then glanced at Bai nghan in shock:

"How co you don’t play by the rules? I said it wasn’t Villa Number One, so logically, you should have guessed Number Two or Three next, shouldn’t you?"

Seeing Fang Chenyi’s shocked expression, Bai nghan smugly patted his head in return (PS: To all you veteran readers, she’s patting his actual head, the one with hair! Don’t you go corrupting pure Xiao Youzi!).

After patting his head, she grinned smugly and said, "Heehee, little brother, you’ve still got a lot to learn when you’re dealing with . With your tycoon status and that expression just now, I’d have to be an idiot not to figure it out."

Seeing Bai nghan’s smug little expression, Fang Chenyi let out a sly chuckle. He then sighed as he parked the car in front of Villa Number Three:

"Alas, what a sha. Your analysis was good, but you still guessed wrong... See? This whole row, except for the last two villas... I bought all of them."

Er...

After he spoke, under Bai nghan’s dumbfounded gaze, Fang Chenyi cockily got out of the sports car, rounded the vehicle, and gently opened the passenger door for her:

"Hehe, so, Xiao Hanhan? Are you blown away by your man’s grandeur? Haha, don’t worship . I’m just a legend."

The simple act of Fang Chenyi opening the car door for her was proof of his love, filling Bai nghan’s heart with sweetness:

"Sigh, alright. I guess I was thinking too small. But I have to admit, you have a good head for business. I’m sure these houses will double in value in less than ten years. Instead of letting useless money earn ager interest in a bank, it’s much better to acquire so assets. Heh, this counts as a type of investnt, I suppose."

’Investnt? A good head for business?’ Fang Chenyi wanted to scoff. ’If I really had this kind of money, I definitely wouldn’t have used it to buy so many villas!’

’To be honest, after being poor for over twenty years, I used to fantasize that if I ever had a hundred million, I’d quit everything, deposit it all in the bank, and live comfortably off the millions in annual interest. Wouldn’t that be the life!’

’Of course, that was just what I used to think. I don’t think that way anymore.’

’After all, the interest on a hundred million was now just enough to cover the cost of a few of my outfits.’

"Let’s go, Xiao Hanhan. Your man is going to show you sothing really good."

Seeing his wicked smirk, Bai nghan shot him an annoyed glare. She tugged at her clothes and muttered, "You’re so awful. It’s still broad daylight and you’re already having naughty thoughts."

’Seeing her playing coy like that made him desire her even more. Man, this girl is just too smart. I haven’t even said anything, and she’s already guessed my intentions.’

"Hehe, what’s going on in that little head of yours? Do you really think your husband is a man who only thinks with his lower body? I just wanted to give you a tour of our future ho."

As he spoke, Fang Chenyi stepped forward and swept Bai nghan up into his arms in a princess carry. Then, he strode toward the villa’s front door.

Held in Fang Chenyi’s strong arms, Bai nghan’s gaze grew hazy, and she felt a sense of intoxication. She was so glad, so glad she had captured the heart of such an outstanding man.

「An hour and a half later.」

Fang Chenyi was leaning against the headboard of the large bed in the master bedroom. He gently pulled the covers over the exhausted Bai nghan, sighing with emotion. ’I must have done a lot of good deeds in my past life to deserve such incredible fortune today.’

RING RING RING.

Just then, the ringtone of Bai nghan’s phone on the bedside table began to ring.

Completely spent, Bai nghan didn’t even lift her head, simply stretching a hand out toward Fang Chenyi. He shook his head with a smile, grabbed her phone, and handed it over.

"Hellooo...? Who is this...?"

She had fumbled for the phone and answered without even looking, her voice weak and listless.

Hearing her voice, the person on the other end of the line was stunned for a mont before a shocked female voice cried out:

"Oh my god! Oh my god! That voice! nghan, you-you-you... don’t tell

you... you went and did... did *it* with that handso guy..."
