Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Such a Man Is Too Charming

"Holy shit, another special system reward? It doesn’t get any better than this!"
Just as an excited Fang Chenyi was pulling the black card from his woven bag, a beautiful figure hopped right in front of him:
"Hey! Hehe, making a contribution to environntal protection again, are we? How’s it going, have you been waiting long? Co on, I’ll go shopping with you."
As she spoke, Bai nghan stepped forward and hugged Fang Chenyi’s arm.
Upstairs, Su Tantan’s frown deepened as she watched the scene unfold. ’How could nghan fall for a guy like that? And that arm she’s hugging—it was just inside a trash bag!’ At this point, Su Tantan couldn’t take it anymore. ’As Bai nghan’s best friend, I absolutely can’t watch her get dragged into a ss like this!’
With that thought, Su Tantan stopped watching. She trotted to the door and, without even changing, ran downstairs in a pair of cute slippers.
Of course, Bai nghan didn’t hear Su Tantan’s muttering.
"Uhh... Xiao Hanhan. Can you let
finish picking up the trash first?"
Helplessly stuffing the black card into his pocket, Fang Chenyi spoke, looking speechlessly at the two trash cans he hadn’t gotten to yet.
"Of course, no problem! Co on, I’ll help you."
As she spoke, Bai nghan, dressed in a youthful long dress, prepared to step forward and help Fang Chenyi pick up trash. The sight startled Fang Chenyi, and he quickly grabbed her hand. "No, no, no! Look, you’re dressed so nicely, you shouldn’t get your hands dirty. Just watch from the side. Just watch."
’Are you kidding ? If I let Bai nghan help, not only will I get no reward, I’ll actually be punished by the system. There’s no way I can let her help .’
"Hehe, it’s okay. A good wife should follow her husband, for better or for worse, right? If you’re going to pick up junk, then I’ll help you. It’s not like I don’t know how."
As she spoke, Bai nghan snatched Fang Chenyi’s trash grabber and prepared to start.
Fang Chenyi slapped his forehead. "Alright, alright, my dear lady. I don’t care if I’m a dog or a chicken. We’re not picking anything up today. We’re done. Let’s go buy that bedding."
With that, he took the trash grabber from Bai nghan’s hand, tossed it into his woven bag, and then pulled her by the hand toward his sports car. ’Looks like I won’t be able to pick up junk whenever this girl’s around...’
"Hey, why’d we stop? I can help, you know! Hehe, you’re not worried I’d be disgusted by it, are you? You really underestimate , Bai nghan, if that’s what you think."
He playfully flicked her nose. "Haha, silly girl. Even if you were disgusted, it’s too late now. Besides, don’t you have class this afternoon? We need to hurry up with the shopping so I can get you to school."
Hearing the first part of his sentence, Bai nghan blushed. ’That rascal... I don’t know what possessed
last night.’
But Bai nghan wasn’t the type to be wishy-washy or shirk responsibility for her actions. ’Since I’ve given myself to this man, I’m going to love him with all my heart.’ Moreover, she was determined to be a capable partner and never, ever be just a pretty face. Of course, as a straight-A student and all-around achiever, she was never just a pretty face to begin with.
Although Fang Chenyi was very rich, Bai nghan constantly reminded herself, ’That’s his money, money he had before I t him. I will never ask him for a single cent.’
Seeing her lost in thought, Fang Chenyi smiled and shook his head. He walked over to the passenger side and was about to open the door for her, but before he could reach for the handle, Bai nghan had already pulled it open herself. She gave him a mischievous smile. "Hehe, I can get it myself."
Gently tapping her nose, Fang Chenyi realized he was growing more and more fond of this girl. ’Not only is she beautiful, but more importantly, her personality is just so endearing...’
Watching Bai nghan get into the car, Fang Chenyi smiled and walked back to the driver’s side, opened the door, and slid in.
Neither of them noticed that at this very mont, standing at the entrance of the building Bai nghan had just exited, Su Tantan, still in her bunny-print pajamas, was staring with wide eyes and a slack jaw, gazing in disbelief at the tail of the Lamborghini as it drove away.
GULP.
After a long mont, Su Tantan finally snapped out of it. ’Oh my god, that Lamborghini belongs to that cute trash-picking guy? Uh-huh, I knew it! How could a regular trash collector be that handso? Not bad, not bad at all. He’s so rich and yet so hardworking and down-to-earth. A man like that is incredibly charming! No wonder nghan fell for him. Hehe, I have to admit, I’m even a little tempted to steal him away...’

In the Lamborghini, Fang Chenyi drove the sleek sports car with one hand, while Bai nghan sat quietly in the passenger seat, holding a stack of books and watching him.
"Uh, why are you staring at
like that?"
Fang Chenyi glanced at Bai nghan, who was still watching him quietly, and asked with an amused smile.
"I like looking at you."
Bai nghan blurted out the answer without a second thought. Afterward, she simply continued to watch him drive with a quiet smile, her eyes filled with undisguised admiration and affection.
Her words made even the thick-skinned Fang Chenyi feel his face flush slightly. But inwardly, he was delighted. After all, hearing such sweet words from a beautiful woman was music to his ears.
"Hehe, so what’s your favorite part of
to look at?"
Fang Chenyi’s suggestive question earned a playfully indignant huff from Bai nghan:
"You’re impossible! So indecent in broad daylight."
Her coquettish complaint sent a tingle through Fang Chenyi. ’Man, I really wish I could go ho right now and test the shock absorption on the big bed in my villa.’
Although he was itching with desire, Fang Chenyi wasn’t the type to think only with his lower half. Since they were alone, they exchanged a few more flirtatious remarks before Fang Chenyi finally steered the conversation back on topic:
"Hehe, alright, alright, let’s drop it. We should change the subject, or I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop myself from turning this car right around..."
Bai nghan gave him a playful glare. "Hmph, you little rogue."
SCREECH. Seeing no cars behind him, Fang Chenyi abruptly pulled over to the side of the road. He switched on the hazard lights and turned to Bai nghan with a wicked grin.
