Chapter 492: Chapter 77: Iron Token Information
"Chen Shen escaped?"
Su Changxing had just woken up, slowly walking down from upstairs, not expecting that this person actually did escape.
Zhu Wenwu, following beside him, said, "It might not be an escape, it feels more like a disappearance. No one noticed him leaving, and there’s no sign of an escape... except for him being gone."
Su Changxing thought for a mont and said, "Do you think it’s because of the Gate of Origin?"
Zhu Wenwu nodded, "Yes, I think there should be so connection between the two, otherwise he probably couldn’t have escaped."
Zhu Wenwu’s intuition was extrely sharp, often not wrong in his judgnts, much like Su Changxing.
Su Changxing took a big gulp from the water bottle on the table and said, "Hmm, makes sense. Have the Doomsday Cult mbers we captured woken up yet?"
Zhu Wenwu shook his head, "Not yet, they are still in a comatose status, but I’m worried that once they wake up, they might disappear like Chen Shen."
"We can wake them up one by one, see how it goes. This is pink cherry blossom powder, it should help them wake up faster."
Su Changxing took out a bag of pink cherry blossom powder and handed it to Zhu Wenwu, "Cherry blossom powder has the effect of restoring spirit."
Zhu Wenwu took the cherry blossom powder and said, "Alright, I’ll head over then. There’s news again, saying another massacre happened at Settlent No. 3, with dozens dead."
With that, he grabbed a bottle of juice from the table and walked out in large strides.
Su Changxing just realized, it seed that everyone else was busy to the point of chaos, while he alone had slept peacefully through the night.
"Yi Yaqi, Shen Jinxuan hasn’t returned?"
Su Changxing turned his head to Yi Yaqi, who was fiddling with firearms on the sofa, and asked.
Yi Yaqi yawned and said, "I don’t know, I just got back myself. Weren’t you guys together yesterday?"
Su Changxing pondered that Jin might have gone out to have fun. He was a bit worried if anything might happen, as Jin was often destructive and not easily restrained by most people.
"It’s probably nothing..."
He paused, noticing that the Iron Token lit up again, displaying rows of dense text.
"We are currently at war with another world, and it’s reached a stalemate. According to our calculations, they plan to invade your world."
"As our affiliated world, we should co to your aid, but the passage is temporarily cut off, so you can only rely on yourselves."
"This is a fight to the death, and you can only stand on our side because of the world anchor. Should our world perish, yours will also face destruction. Even if you aren’t destroyed, things won’t be easy."
Was this ssage from him?
Su Changxing fell into silence, feeling that this person was a rogue, sending an unclear ssage and leaving it at that.
"So is the Black Fog World at a huge disadvantage?"
He suddenly felt a headache. If a world stronger than the Black Fog World wanted to invade, wouldn’t that be as simple as playing a ga?
No, this needs strategic thought. That world must be invading their world for the war as it would benefit them in winning the war.
They were just tiny ants, trembling under the feet of two battling beasts, one misstep and they’d face death.
This person specifically sent him this ssage, surely with deeper intent...
"Or perhaps they’re desperate?"
Su Changxing’s pupils tightened slightly. Only those driven to the brink would use everything they have to attack the enemy.
And Black Fog World might indeed be in such a situation now.
They were about to be defeated, in such a short ti.
They continually invaded other worlds, seemingly destined for destruction, as they couldn’t assure themselves as the strongest, nor could they halt their invasions. Otherwise, the black fog would consu them.
Two hours later, Jin wandered back inside, her cheeks a bit blackened, signs of being covered in smoke and dust after explosions, with four or five white masks with red patterns hanging from her waist.
"Hm~"
She strode into the house, tossing the masks, speckled with blood, to Su Changxing.
Su Changxing raised an eyebrow, surprised, "Did you blow up their lair?"
Jin grabbed a cola from the table, took a big sip, exhaled, and pondered, "Not sure, I thought these people were acting sneaky."
Su Changxing rubbed his chin, wondering how Jin discovered those Doomsday Cult mbers, and asked, "What about the people? All dead?"
Jin nodded, a bit regretful, "Yeah, they were too weak, I originally wanted to bring so back alive."
You dropped a nuclear bomb, yet expected survivors... Su Changxing recalled that there was indeed news about a significant explosion near Settlent No. 3 last night, probably Jin’s doing.
Seems like Jin wasn’t entirely directionally challenged after all, could both go out and find her way back.
He previously thought Jin couldn’t recognize routes since she wandered off a lot; now it seed she just liked roaming about.
"Hmm, what do you want to eat?"
Su Changxing asked, as Jin usually liked to eat sothing before sleeping.
"Noodles." Jin thought for a mont and said.
Yi Yaqi eagerly raised her hand and said, "I’ll make sothing for Jin."
Su Changxing glanced at her and quietly said, "Hmm, I’ll handle it. Do you want so? I’ll make extra."
He had tried Yi Yaqi’s cooking before—not horrible, but ensuring the food wasn’t ruined was for the best.
"I’ll eat too. Once I eat, I’ll take a nap. I have tasks in the afternoon."
Yi Yaqi smiled, thinking it was nice to be able to enjoy the noodles made by the group leader.
······
Blood dripped down the arm, falling on the ground.
Ma Xuekai staggered into the underground of the ruins, though he had escaped, his injuries were serious, and Su Changxing’s bullets had genuinely scared him.
"This is too exaggerated, how does he have such terrifying power?"
He was confused; Su Changxing’s power instilled despair, like an insurmountable mountain.
"Master, yesterday when we carried out the plan, the base at Settlent No. 3 was taken down, the leader of Team 17 is not easy to deal with, they even found such a hidden spot."
A short, masked individual reported, his voice youthful, like a child whose voice hadn’t deepened yet.
Ma Xuekai’s expression shifted, taking a breath, "Let’s retreat from here first, in case they co after us."
He was worried Su Changxing would co, which would seal their fate. In his current status, escaping a second ti was unlikely.
